  1. GCIU (which is part of Teamsters now) - I think Local 453, but I have to check to be sure.
  2. I noticed they went up, but I intently watching my ComEd bill to see what this 20% hike will look like (and then another one sometime next year if they get what they want). ComEd and People's Gas (or Energy, whatever they are calling themselves this year) can go jump of a cliff, freaking criminals.
  3. That's probably what they will do. Apparently the guys are more unified and realistic than they seemed when talking at work. He's actually getting energized about the whole thing so I guess we shall see what chips FDP holds. Brian is gun-shy with this stuff after being laid off from Wicklander (about 2.5 years ago) and with us planning on trying for a baby in the New Year, the idea of getting laid off again was freaking him out a bit.
  4. I hope Brian's union meeting goes well. This is the prep for the first round of negotiating the new contract. I am surprised at Brian's take on it, he doesn't want to push for more, but to keep what they have. Most of the guys there have been saying they want to push for more/larger raises, etc but considering the company just went through a takeover of sorts, they needn't push their luck or they will be in the unemployment line soon. On a side note, I am bidding on a cookbook (one my mom's Christmas gift) published in 1898 by his company.
  5. I am impressed that the driver took the blame completely.
  6. We went to Raleight for just shy of a week and attended a college football game, 2 hockey games and went shopping for about half that lol. Yeah, we are weird and we admit it.
  7. We just bought a computer less than a month ago and have already had to use the recovery disk. Yes, I want to take it personally back to California and shove it up the collective asses of Cyberpower. They are complete jags in the tech support and customer service areas as well and this is coming from someone who makes her living being a tech support person in the electronics industry.
  8. Honestly, I only read about the caution and Robbie's "reaction" and trying to slip out the back door of his trailer as Brian and I went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary.
  9. Well, that was a BS "debris" caution at the end. Oh well, I wouldn't expect anything else from NASCRAP.

    Bye Bye Taurus

Or vice-versa . I have 14K on mine and took ownership March 24th haha. I had my Cougar for 4.5 years and had 90K miles on it (would have been more but for the first year where I lived 5 miles from that job).
  11. Weird - there is no one in the office except for me and one other person (possibly another that is all the way on the other side).
  12. Used it to cut up a package of poison? (Yes I am stretching here lol.)
  13. I agree with Tex and SS. Had it been a fictitious president I probably wouldn't have any issues with it.
  14. 6) Rats Rats still conjure up images of disease carrying pests inhabiting murky sewers for many people, but rats are really among the most ideal of pets. They are very social and enjoy interaction with their humans, and they are loaded with personality.
  15. If they are not religous, why "waste" the time and effort on the annulment (which is purely through a church, no?) if legally divorced? As I mentioned, the only divorce I was remotely close to was my in-laws and that was well after the fact so I am now well-versed on the ins and outs.
  16. Ok - gotcha - thought you were saying the annulment was. Shoo!
  17. Insignificant? Not sure I would consider this insignificant. Annulments are given out WAY too easily by the Catholic church. As much as I adore(d) my late FIL, I still do not understand how he managed to get one after 30 years of marriage and 4 kids. According to the kids, you pay enough you get one. Without knowing (or wanting to know) the process, I am not sure how true that is.
  18. There was a couple in England that had twins girls were one looked white and one looked black. Both parents were biracial in that case.
  19. Thank you! Oh, you mean the White Sox WS Championship .
  20. I agree with Steff and Tex. My grandfather had that in its beginning stages and shook (I remember looking at his hand on his cane watching him have trouble handling the cane because of it). He might not have been on his drugs, but sometimes that's what you have to do to get people's attention.
