It's good seeing you around here - hope things get better.

Hugs to you. On another thought, I hate investment companies, especially ones from California. I hope they f***ing lose their f***ing ass big f***ing time on this current deal of theirs. Can ya tell I am a little pissed off?

I can't believe the Canes beat the 'Ing - they never do! I am also thrilled the Sens beat the Slugs...er...Sabres. I abhor that team.

Perv - I was referring to the folic acid comment. The other of course we've been in progress on that lol but will have to be in prevent mode for about 3 months.

Already in progress on that Tex .

Police raid Tank Johnson's Home

The biggest issue/problem I saw when reading the articles on this was that there were loaded weapons out in plain site while there were two small children there. -
That is wonderful - I hope they get the Christmas (or whichever holiday they celebrate) miracle I was hoping for last year and didn't get.

I finally got some good news (healthwise) yesterday. On Monday I went through a physical for life insurance. Wasn't expecting the results for sometime. I was "super-preferred" which is the highest health level they have - this means my policy price per month went from $35 to $20 (20 year term at 250K). Also, I have to get my MMR immunization again and I thought it would take months to get into the doc's office. Turns out I could have went Wednesday morning if I had time off - since I don't, I'll be there 1/2 at night. Which means a target that was set is still on - I was bummed out thinking it was going to delay it another 3 months.

Sounds like he is pulling through okay. Glad they caught it early. I hope he continues to improve. -
Corrected the name for you Yasny. I hope it turns out to be nothing but a precaution.

RIP Peter - it really saddened me to read that.

That sucks Tex - I hope nothing happens. With any of those types of emails, I go directly to the site rather than from my email (ie careerbuilder, monster, ebay). They are getting too good with faking the email. People suck, all you can do is be proactive.

I have never received a bonus of any kind. Heck, I haven't even seen any kind of pay raise in 2 years.

QUOTE(The Critic @ Dec 12, 2006 -> 07:10 AM) I like how they tried to play off that it has nothing to do with the NHL being on Versus. No one knows WHAT Versus is, much less where to find it. The NHL does no marketing to let anyone know that OLN is now Vs. and yet they're surprised when their ratings are lower than women's college basketball. It also doesn't help that some providers (mine being one of them) doesn't carry OLN/Versus either.

Have a great birthday!!!

I can be nice, but if the f***ing company/charity doesn't get an answer after calling 100 times (and I mean that number literally, not figuratively), patience isn't the first thing that comes to mind. Most times I will ignore the call and let my answering machine take it. After getting some news that I got yesterday, I answered waited the customary 3 seconds and told them to bugger off. The one that really pissed me off was the charity that sent me a letter looking for my donation that I pledged on 10/28/05. I can guarantee I was a little too preoccupied to pledge to anyone that day (I got married the next day).

QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 10, 2006 -> 06:41 PM) Dr. Sam Beckett never leaping home! I have to admit that I loved the way they ended Quantum Leap. I've noticed a few of the QL DVD sets available, but I am waiting for the last season's set.

QUOTE(Thedeepsea @ Dec 7, 2006 -> 10:09 AM) I think more business should focus on the needs of the employees. People will work better if they are given more perks or days off. So true! Even though there are some issues I have with my company in terms of benefits, they were there for me last year when my father-in-law died. From 12/15 to Christmas I was only in the office for a half-day. I came in for a half day to explain to the up and ups what was going on and they were fine with me leaving right then and there. I stayed until lunch when it was confirmed a decision was to be made that afternoon. I wrote an email letting them know when he had died that I wouldn't be in all week due to helping with the services and trying to get Brian, his sister, his mom and myself through it and that I understood that I had no paid time left and in-laws wasn't considered immediate family. Either they made an exception or the rules changed right at that time because when I came back they told me he was considered immediate family and I was paid for all time I missed.

I am glad Stillman is back with the Canes. I can't wait for him to hit the ice and get the rust off.

Since it is technically music based, I am posting this here. For my birthday I received 2 of the singing Freddy Mercury figures. One from Brain (just arrived in the mail yesterday) and one from my aunts.
