QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 11:26 PM) Gerber = bad He has the flu or some stomach thing. He's lost 15 pounds since he got sick. He should never have been in net tonight (or after 3 goals in the first game). Well last night really sucked sportswise and then I only got about 4 hrs of sleep due to coughing myself awake. -

!(*&*&@^#(&$%#(*%^ f***ING f*** f*** f*** f***ITY f***. It's amazying how a team can utterly break your heart. I feel worse for Erik thought, having to watch knowing how he has owned the Canadiens this year. That is all. -

The Canes are going to be the end of me.... Not sure how much more my lil heart can take. It was a huge bummer seeing Erik in the booth rather than on the ice as well as hearing the break was worse than they initially thought. -
My co-workers and I were just discussing this topic. Here's hoping they have been excised (sp?)!

Looks like Cyclone Monica is headed right for Darwin in Australia. An article on yahoo lists the winds up to 218 mph.

QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 24, 2006 -> 08:44 AM) The girly eyebrows and makeup are priceless all on their own.. LOL! I was just gonna mention the waxed eyebrows. Sorry, but boys/men with waxed eyebrows scare me a little. -

I am apprehensive about the game tonight. I hope the Canes come out with a fire under their asses because if they falter tonight, it is going to be near impossible to come back in this series. -
It rocked getting in to check the score and finding a White Sox winner. I was also impressed that while Thome and Konerko went 0 fer, the offense still kicked!

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Apr 23, 2006 -> 02:23 AM) Shots: Car 43, MTL 21 I had my doubts about Gerber in the playoffs... I didn't until about 2 weeks ago. As immature (in how far he has honed his hockey talent) as Cam is, I would welcome seeing him guarding the net for a game or two. -
AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!&a

I think this was my first game that I was actually able to watch rather than just follow online. What a sweet game! -
Congrats to Thome!

Looks like what I was afraid of came true. Gerber is breaking down from a long season and without our Canadian Killer (EC 26), the Canes blew like nothing that has ever blown before (trying to have a sense of humor about this - I guess Burton finishing 9th and the White Sox kicking some arse helps). -
My Milan is similar in gas usage - about $40 (at the moment) to fill and I usually get about 400 miles to the tank. Brian has a Marauder and it costs about the same to fill up, but I don't know what his mileage per tank is (he said it surprised him because it isn't anywhere near as bad as he expected - I think he said 18-20 miles per gallon last he calculated). I stopped worrying about it after I realized there is not much I can do - I have to work and no public transportation can get me from home to work in less than 3.5 hrs, 2 trains and 3 buses. That is not to say I like it, but it is one of those things I cannot presently change so I try not to think about it too much.

I got in to catch the third period of the Ottawa game - actually I came in a few seconds before the scoring started. Brian has mandated that I must be home in time for all Sens games. I do not know what to expect for the Canes games as the Canadian Killer (Erik Cole) won't be available (thank you Oprick you assmunch). They stumbled pretty bad at the end of the season so I am not as confident as I was a month ago. -
Dammit - when is the supposed free lunch getting here?! If it doesn't get here soon, I am going to break out the lunch I brought from home.

Pat Quinn was just fired. Didn't realize he never won a cup (but was to the finals twice).

Apparently someone did jump: NBC5.com Man Pulled From Chicago River Police Believe Man Jumped In Suicide Attempt A man was taken to an area hospital in serious condition Thursday morning after divers from the Chicago Fire Department rescued him from the Chicago River in the Loop where he jumped, reportedly in a suicide attempt. Rescue workers responded at 8:46 a.m. after the man jumped in the river near Randolph Street and Wacker Drive, said Fire Media spokesman Josh Dennis. The man was pulled out of the water and was on his way to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious to critical condition as of 9:45 a.m., Dennis said, adding it may have been an attempted suicide. "He pulled his car over there, called his girlfriend and then jumped," according to Central District Sgt. Charles Popielarz. Copyright 2006, Chicago Sun-Times Inc.

QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 20, 2006 -> 07:13 AM) No- If you have Centre Ice, you will be able to watch the games for the most part. So they are covering the playoff games?! I have it but read somewhere that they weren't.
