That is really almost a bigger compliment. It's one thing to have it be said by one of the greatest hitters of the era. It's another thing to have it be said by a catcher who has been around 15 years and has been around the league and caught some damn good pitchers.

GTA San Andreas too. Does anyone know if that's just coming out for PS2 or if it's coming out for both PS2 and XBox.

CWS406, it's an interesting read, but, IMO, you have to throw those stats against Detroit out the window. Last year, Detroit did not have IRod behind the plate, Guillen at SS hitting .330, White in LF, or Inge hitting decently. They actually have an offense this year. However, I still love the move. Minnesota will not be able to get comfortable against our staff at all...going into the season the rotation was Loaiza-Buehrle-Garland-Scho-Wright...and now it is Garcia-Buehrle-Contreras-Garland-Scho. We went from not having a guy who can throw it harder then 93 to having 2 guys who can throw 95, with one of them having top 5 stuff(atleast according to Eric Chavez) in Freddy Garcia, and the other who has the best splitter he's(Frank Thomas) has ever seen.

As of right now, I'm not sure our offense has the capabilities to string together 5 or 10 in a row. If Contreras can pitch his ass off on Tuesday against KC, and he can spark this team, then we got a shot.
-
If we can get him back for $5 mill a year I do it in a heartbeat. If he regains that velocity...he's an 18 win pitcher(give or take a few wins). If not, he'll still win 12-15 or so. Basically, you're taking the risk that you may get a very good, sometimes dominant starter, or that you'll get a decent starter who is a solid #4 or #5 on any staff, with the exception of the Cubs

If by fine you mean an ERA of 4.50-5.00, yes, you are right.

I think it was for asking Critic if he was a *****, ***, or both(sorry if I'm supposed to censor those...if so, a mod or admin can just change them for me...I figure if I'm not calling anybody them it's OK) in the 25th anniversary of the Disco Demolition Night thread.

Halo is quite possibly the greatest game ever created. And Halo 2 will be better. That's a scary thought. I can't wait!

Have you ever been walking on the street when you look up and notice an awesome ass in front of you, and you're like "Damn!" And then she turns around and you see her face and you're just like "DAMN!" :puke Anyways, that's my thought of the month.

This may be so. But how are they for 119 loss seasons?
-
That son of a b****. He would have helped out offense immensely.

If Esteban's throwing 92-94, I take Esteban in a heartbeat. If not, I take Contreras. Esteban seems to be a smarter pitcher, but his stuff is s*** right now. I will take Contreras based on stuff alone.

Maybe it's just me, but I think he looks similar to Barry Pepper(who played Roger Maris in 61*) when he's shaved in a Yankees hat.

You're dealt two hole cards, face down...those are your cards and your cards alone. After a round of betting and folding, you then get the flop, and you bet again, then the turn comes, you bet again, and the river comes, and you bet again. After that, you turn over your cards, and see who has the best hand. That's just the general rules of it. You can dig way deeper then that once you get into the strategy of the game itself...playing tight, playing loose, betting styles, changing gears, when to bluff, when not to bluff, when to call, when not to call. You also have to note the blinds as well...the blinds are paid by the two people left of the dealer...the person directly to the left of the dealer pays the small blind, and the person to the left of the small blind pays the big blind(if you understand what I'm talking about). If you want to know more, you can go to Card Player and click on the rules of the game, and then click hold em, which is just under that. And if you have some money, and you want to know even more then that, there are quite a few books written about poker in general...some on just hold em, and some include games like Omaha, Seven Card Stud, Razz, as well as many others(like I believe Doyle Brunson's Super System does). Hope this helps!

That does not look like Esteban to me. I know it is though.

At some point it stops being luck and starts to become expected.

That is our rotation, and that I'm almost positive about. Garcia-Buehrle-Contreras-Garland-Diaz Maybe if Diaz sucks ass in ST, we use a vet, but I even doubt that myself.

Orlando Cabrera homers in his Sawks debut, Twins losing 1-0 after top 1.
-
I'll play too. I mean, someone with a poker quote in their sig and Teddy KGB in their avatar is like forced to play, right?
-
Sorry about that A 7-game losing streak will do that to you.

I think I just figured out that our slump started when Jamie Burke got knocked into last week by Torii Hunter, and since that, we've proven that we are a bunch of little b****es who do not play hard nosed baseball. What we need is a brawl, or someone to just hit the s*** out of IRod/someone else's catcher on a sac fly or something...this team needs a spark, and it ain't gonna happen by itself. Until then, expect to lose.
-
This team is so f***ing lost right now With the way it looks, the Twins could play .300 baseball the rest of the year and still win the division easily, if this was last year. Our offense sucks ass, and everyone on god's green earth knows this...so KW goes out and gets us a f***ing pitcher. How the hell is that going to help us KW? We need a bat via waivers badly within the next 3 days...Bautista, Cruz Jr, Burnitz, Delgado, Beltran, whoever the hell. We need another f***ing bat.
