MVP Baseball 2004
I assume this game works much like Madden in that you are the owner AND the GM, so you are Kenny Williams in this game. So if you want to fire yourself, go for it. I can't wait to see the look on your face. BTW, I notice one thing that's not looking so good about that pic. It is a picture of the Rangers something or another, and it has part of their roster on it, and on that roster, they show....Alex Rodriguez. Does this mean that ARod is not a Yankee? Maybe that's not such a bad thing afterall...probably means Maddux is not a Cubbie too.

Owens an Eagle?
They had no passing game because Anthony Wright was their QB for the last few games of the season and because Jamal Lewis ran for 2000+ yards. Boller will be back next year and he will almost undoubtedly be improved, and Owens will have an OK year

Dolphins trade for AJ Feeley
If he is a good cover corner who will get an interception now and then, he's OK. Winfield is one of the better run-stopping CBs in the game, but you need more then that, and he's not really a great cover CB.

Washington Not Done
I just find it funny that they have a top 5 pick and not another pick till the 4th round. I think they'll be much, much improved however. Though I am not a fan of the Redskins(in fact, I dislike them...mainly because they beat the Bills in the Superbowl), I really would like to see how this team looks.

Dolphins trade for AJ Feeley
What are you talking about? They have AJ Feeley and Jay Fiedler! Sad thing is, that really shouldn't be in green Oh well, be happy...atleast you're not a Bills fan. They, right now, are in deep s***. They have a lot of problems to address.

Dolphins trade for AJ Feeley
To make a comparison, I hate Sammy Sosa too and the fact that he is a huge ass hot dog as well as being a cheater, but I'd rather have him over Paul Konerko. Moss is the biggest threat in the NFL, and the best WR in the NFL(IMO). He can go up and get the ball, has pull away speed, has great hands, runs great routes. His two major weaknesses are the fact that he is a pussy(you hit him real hard and he's shaken up for a few plays) and his attitude, as you mentioned. I can understand someone hating him because of his attitude... ...but still, if anyone does take Chambers over Moss... Put down the crack pipe

League #1 fantasy baseball thread
Hey Tony, I see you're a little weak at the utility spot. Would you be interested in dealing one of your big 4(Halladay, Mussina, and more reasonably, Oswalt and Lowe) for say Dmitri Young and David Wells or Vicente Padilla? Just curious

League #1 fantasy baseball thread
Just to let you know, Carlos Guillen is available, and qualifies for both SS and 3B...he's probably not as good as Cintron, but personally I think I would take Wilson with Guillen backing my guys up over Olivo with Cintron backing my guys. JMO though...it's not my team.

Dolphins trade for AJ Feeley
They drafted a WR with their first pick overall last year(I believe it was Bryant Johnson, but I could be mistaken), and they also have Anquan Boldin who they got in the 2nd or 3rd round. Why would they want another receiver? Dennis Green will draft either a franchise QB with the 3rd pick overall, or they will trade down with a team like Pittsburgh and get a franchise running back. I'll put my money on them building for the future and taking Roethlisberger/Manning(if the Chargers and Raiders are stupid enough to pass up on him) over trading down for a franchise back, when it has been proven over and over and over and over again that if you scout wisely, develop correctly, and have a good offensive line, you can get a franchise back in literally any round(Clinton Portis was a 2nd round pick, and I believe Terrel Davis was a 6th round pick...the only catch with both of those two is that they both played in a very, very run friendly offense in Denver, but they are two examples none the less...also, Minnesota drafted Onterrio Smith in the 3rd round last year and he was getting somewhere around 4-5 yards a carry)

Dolphins trade for AJ Feeley
Which is why they went out and got AJ Feeley. Sorry, couldn't resist! All I have to say to someone who would rather have Chris Chambers over Randy Moss is... Put down the crack pipe son

Tait
Sorry if I sound like an ass in saying this, but is Villarrial good? I haven't watched many Bears games and I want to know, as a Bills fan, if I should be really excited about this move.

Look who's in camp today
Well, with the subject of Bo brought up, I think his homer in his first at bat back after hip replacement surgery(I think that's what it was) was one of the single greatest feats a person has ever done in sports. At the very least, it was cool as hell. It's too bad I was 6 at the time and I didn't see it. Anyways, um....Bo rocks!!!

League #1, best stats on paper.
I liked what I saw. Looked like I was near the top in a lot of categories(and one that I was not, wins, I picked Curt Schilling for and he won like 7 or 8 games last year...I expect that to be about 17-20 this year if he's healthy). Also, Johan Santana will be in the rotation all year this year, so I expect him to win atleast a few more then the 12 he did last year. Also, I ranked very low in saves...then again, I drafted Dotel in like the 4th round, and I think he will have a huge year and will go from 4 saves to about 40-45 saves. Also, K's, I expect Schilling to strike out quite a few this year along with Santana striking more out as well. All in all, I like my team a lot.

League #1 fantasy baseball thread
Hey Sonix, if you didn't see it in the league, are you interested in upgrading at catcher? Craig Wilson is a solid offensive catcher(or atleast he's qualified for catcher), and is better then Olivo. All I ask for is Cintron. Otherwise, I'll have to see if there are any other possible trades I could make...but for now, I think I'm fine.

SI article on Joe Borchard
That is likely the case, along with him probably being too hard on himself as well. I hope he gets it together, because he could be an impact player some day.

Twins Dissing White Sox
After you take off the rose-colored glasses, you'd realize we aren't the same team either. Losing Colon will be have a bigger impact then any of us will realize, and Gordon's production will have to be received from somewhere. Getting rid of Manuel was very nice though. The Twins biggest losses were two relievers and a catcher, and while all 3 were very good, they are not, IMO, like losing a Bartolo Colon. Joe Nathan is a solid reliever, and I believe they also got Carlos Silva and Pete Munro, who are also solid relievers, and Joe Mauer was the #1 pick overall for a reason, and while he will most likely not reach his full potential this year, I can see him putting up double digit homers and a solid average. Just because the Twins lost quite a bit does not mean they are not a dangerous team still. We lost quite a bit too.
