    Grossman!

baggs....Grossman's a stud. He's got a good arm, and he does some good things. His last year with Spurrier there, when he had some decent talent around him, he was very, very good. He didn't have a good O-line this year....I know that. Kiper was talking about that constantly.....saying how s***ty the O-line was, and then how he had a new system implimented and all that. When Kordell is done being a Chicago Bear....it will be Grossman's turn. Anyways....how about the Bills taking McGahee? Holy s***....when he got his knee messed up....I thought he was done. All I can do is hope that he is not done.....because if he is, the Bills are in some deep s***.
  2. The NHL playoffs are the s***. How about that Vancouver-Minnesota game last night? Must suck to be a Wild fan(there were a few at my house watching the game). That's a b****. Give up the lead with 1.3 seconds remaining and then lose it in OT.
  3. In my mind....the offense will be fine once one of Konerko and Thomas gets it going. When Konerko is hot....there are few players better than him(as we found out last year in the first half). He's still among the slowest in the league and is overpaid. When Thomas gets it going....he can carry a team by himself. To put it plainly....if Konerko gets going....we're a 90 win team. If Thomas gets it going....we're a 100 win team...atleast. If both get it going....we're going to knock the s*** out of a lot of teams. I still want to get Shannon Stewart from Toronto....and I'd still trade Carlos Lee for him....but right now, Lee isn't pissing me off. Konerko is the one pissing me off. He is hitting like .215. That is flat out s***ty.
  4. ala, Joe Crede's homer that wasn't.
  5. Because Glover is the only one that can go 3+ innings.
  6. He's not a dumass. What he did was gave the media something to print, but at the same time didn't call anyone out. Crede showed that he's not going to blame the umpires for the Sox piss poor play yesterday, he's a team player, the type of guy we need on this team. CWSOX45 He's a dumbass because he's not right. He said that play didn't hurt the team. When I first read that, I thought 'are you kidding me? That play killed us.' I like the fact that he is trying to get a message across saying "We shouldn't be affected by it." I do like that. What I don't like is his saying that that kind of thing does not hurt the team. When we are down by 2 and you hit a ball like that that would tie it up...it is a whole different ball game because of it. We've been screwed before by the umps....hell, we've potentially lost a game or two twice this year because of the umps. That one, however, really killed us. That umping crew should be fired immeadiately.
  7. Doesn't Torborg over use his starting pitchers? Yes-no? Someone wanna clear this up?
  8. The wise thing to do would have been to just say "No comment." This way....he doesn't say anything he can't get fined by the league for....and he doesn't look like a dumbass process.
  9. Come 2007....there will be a new MLB Commissioner When deal is up in 2006, Selig says 'no question' he's done -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Associated Press NEW YORK -- Bud Selig does not intend to seek a new term as baseball commissioner after his current deal expires in December 2006. Selig, 67, became acting commissioner in September 1992 after the forced resignation of Fay Vincent. Despite saying he didn't intend to take the job permanently, Selig agreed to a five-year term in July 1998. Owners then gave him a new five-year term in November 2001, a contract that expires on Dec. 31, 2006. "So now here we are,'' Selig told a group from Associated Press Sports Editors on Thursday. "I have another 3½, 3¾ years. I expect to do it. Thankfully for me, at that point that would be enough. "For a guy who took it in Sept. 9, 1992, and I told my wife it was two-to-four months -- 14 years later ... I think that will be enough. There's no question, because there are other things I really would like to do.'' Asked again if this was his final term, Selig responded; "Oh, there's no question.'' Under Selig, baseball added an extra round of playoffs in 1995, splitting each league into three divisions instead of two, and began interleague play in 1997. While the sport was hurt by a 232-day strike in 1994-95, players and owners agreed to a labor deal last August without a stoppage -- the first time that happened since 1970. Selig also successfully pushed for expanded revenue sharing in the last two labor deals.
  10. Ruben's the fat-ass black guy right? Yeah....I want him to win. I don't watch that show...but I do know about Ruben(and that's it). My brother and my mom watch it. I personally think it's stupid. In fact....I haven't seen a reality show in a long time. I will not watch reality tv again until the go somewhere really cold for Survivor.
  11. That would be sweet s*** if they started doing new Family Guy's. a 296% increase? That's massive.
  12. Years? In 2001, he started half his games and came out of the bullpen in the other half. Last year was his first full year of starting. We have been waiting for 2 years. If we were waiting for, say, 4 or 5 years....then yes, potentially, we could. You should wait till the pitcher is atleast 24 or 25 before you deal him....meaning we wait pretty much until atleast 2005 or 2006 to deal him. With Garland's nasty-ass sinker...he could get it going. Garland's only 23....and he was rushed to the majors. Unless there is a deal that gets us a proven #3 starter....like a Brian Lawrence or a Kerry Wood....then I'll deal him. Then and only then. I'm not trading him to get something better(the same mistake we made with Kipper) or trading him because we've given up on him....not yet.
  13. Wait a second. You're telling me that Jerry didn't come out and argue that call? I can understand a few things him not arguing for....but that is bulls***. He's gotta state his case on that. Joe may have been being "mature"....but him saying a foul ball didn't hurt the team is BS. That call seemed to take the wind out of us. We apparently couldn't get anything else done after that. What a s***ty umping crew. Worst call ever.
  14. I pretty much understood that part. The pitching has done a good enough job of limiting the damage though. Our offense is too good to get shutdown like this. We need it to step up....and I agree that when the offense is having a bad night....the pitching needs to step it up. IMO....it has done exactly that(for the most part)
  15. As much as I like Loaiza's performance and his team attitude....I gotta wonder how smart he is or how good his short term memory is. We have to have an ERA under 4.00 for the whole year....and Buehrle has had 1 bad game. Koch and Garland have both sucked ass...and Gordon's had it rough....but as far as pitching goes....it has been better than expected. We need the offense to improve...not the goddamn pitching.

    NFL Draft

I think Leftwich is a smarter QB than Culpepper....but I agree. I've said that before too.
  18. it seems like he knows he is struggling and wants to help the team and get back on track which I know he will do LOL....that's actually a pretty funny way to put it.
  19. Koch was never a great, great closer when he had great stuff. The fact that he could throw the ball 100 MPH was the main reason he was good. He won't succeed with a 91-93 MPH fastball....or evena 93-95 fastball. He just can't. He doesn't have a good breaking ball, he doesn't have a good changeup, and he doesn't have good control. His way-high heat is the reason he has been successful in his career. Let's hope he gets better as the year goes on. We need his fastball. Otherwise....it doesn't matter what Cotts and Holt do at the major league level. We get the s***-end of the trade again. I have a funny feeling that Beane knew about the fact that Koch may have lost some speed on his fastball....and used it to his advantage, sticking it to a GM that knew a little less about him. That's not being a smart GM....that's hitting below the f***ing belt. All we can do is hope he gets his fastball back up there. We have to pay this guy over 6 mill next year.
  20. How did Koch's fastball look? Still low 90s....or was it up in the mid-90s like last game?
  21. Agreed. Grimsley is also pretty good out of the pen. Once Beltran is traded....the ship will fall apart. That will be like a kick to the crotch for KC. I still think they'll win 70-75....maybe even squeak out with a .500 record. They just don't have the depth to continue this success. KC is going to be playing some better competition....going to play a mildly hard east coast set in the next 3 weeks or so....playing Toronto, Boston, and Baltimore....with the Twinkies in the middle....and after that is over....they have a tough-ass west coast set of games...playing Oakland and Seattle....and then hitting interleague play....where they play LA, Colorado, Arizona, and San Fran....and they then play St. Louis. The Royals won't keep it up. They've been hot as hell....but it will end sooner rather than later.
  22. Jerry and Frank are close. KW and Lee are close. One of Thomas and Lee has to go. That's all I'm gonna say.
  23. Jon started out terrible in April last year. He had an 8.00 ERA or something like that. He's a slow starter. He'll get it going in May.
  24. You mean how Navarro complained about not getting run support after a game he pitched in and lost 9-1 or whatever? LMAO We chose this guy over Roger Clemens, right?
