  1. I'd agree....on MTV's show, Ozzy will be mumbling whatever the f*** he is mumbling, and then he'll say f*** or s*** or something like that and it will bleep out....so it's just like "murmermum BLEEP mururm." Madden will be talking and then he'll just say bam really loud or pow or something....so it's just like "anthemumumnamuan BAM! an POW! anmumermum" I never considered that...though Ozzy's funnier. Madden's just f***ing stupid.
  2. I liked it...and for some reason, I especially thought the Arnold Schwartzenegger(sp) part was hilarious....maybe because it was just so dumb. I'm not a dumb guy, but I laugh at dumb things....like geese crossing the street....and things like that. And the part where Clooney and Kimmel were talking about what can and can't be sensored....didn't know you couldn't say God's name in vain on air....but now that I think about it, it makes sense....which is a reason why you can't say goddamn-it. The thing I didn't like was when Warren Sapp was on there...because about every 30 seconds, he'd say something and he and Snoop would shake hands or give each other a five or whatever.
  3. White can make, at the most on his deal, I believe just above $2. mill or so....$750,000 this year and about $1.4 mill next year if we exercise the team option(is what I think we have anyways). I like White over Acevedo anyways....atleast White has playoff experience.
  4. Loaiza is a decent starter...can put up 10 wins and a 4.50 ERA with 175-190 innings or so a year...I think he's most definately a AAA pitcher who can come up when necessary. That's good....now we have more depth than just Josh Stewart or Matt Ginter(scary thought) if one of our starters goes down. That was a good move. The bad thing is is the fact that he basically puts up Todd Ritchie numbers...so he'd probably go 5-15 with us and have an ERA of over 6.00!
  5. Thats what I would of thought, but look at all the moves they are making. I know minor league deals aren't anything, but to the Sox, its a new thing. Usually its the winning teams that sign guys like this to minor league deals for depth and now all of a sudden the Sox are doing it. Scary as hell, huh? We might actually be good this year.
  6. Isn't Salt Lake City the Twins AAA affiliate? This move could come back to hurt the Twins, or atleast Burke could. Then again, just from the stats(and nothing else), he seems like he could be a Josh Paul type....all-offense, no-defense type catcher...a .305 average is probably a .280 average in the majors...let's hope he can play a lick of defense.
  7. Yeah, Daubach can be an outfielder. Guys, I hate/love to point this out....but with the signing of Daubach, does this make Lee available for trade? He is one of KW's boys, but Daubach is a good lefty-power hitter with better defense than Carlos, Carlos makes more money this year....anybody thinking that it might be true?
  8. Nevermind, we got more depth at catcher...Jamie Burke and Steven Morales....nothing special, but it's what I wanted.
  9. You mean Cliff Brumbaugh? Good...I like these moves a lot....all of them. We should be making no more moves the rest of the offseason. We have depth at catcher, we have another option for a starter(Loaiza), we have lefty power off the bench, or in other words, a better version of Jeff Liefer....we are set. We have enough depth to compete now....I'm relieved.
  10. Tom Lampkin....we need much more depth at catcher...I don't want our backup catcher to be Josh Paul. Atleast someone good defensively behind the plate...I could care less if they hit .090...as long as they got hits every once in a while and played defense well.
  11. Rauch is going to have to go through gorwin pains eventually....may as well let it be this year. If Colon really does leave, do we want to go into next year with Buehrle, Garland, Wright, and Rauch all being experienced or having Buehrle, Garland and Wright being the only ones with experience and having, say, Rauch and Malone going through the rough times? If he fails, we will use Stewart....it's that simple. If Stewart fails, we'll use maybe Ginter or just use Rauch again...and use the hot hand out of Stewart and Rauch.
  12. The Twins sure have catching depth. Its too bad they would never trade within the division or at least not with the Sox. Valentin is now in the Brewers system, if it means anything.
  13. I figure it is...or else he wouldn't be a catcher. Besides, not only would he be a good backup, but it makes the bench deeper, because as I said, he did hit 20 homers in AAA for the Twins.
  14. That's Javy Valentin....Jose's brother...and he's just like his brother in a sense, as both have real good arms....Javy is bigger than Jose though, and that's probably a big reason he is a catcher....got traded to the Brewers along with Matt Kinney for a couple minor leaguers. I'd take Javy Valentin as a 3rd catcher, and then having the Valentin brothers on the team could create a good aura in the clubhouse....not only that, but then we could get rid of Josh Paul....so as soon as Alomar went down, we could bring up Valentin and be a good backup.
  15. The Raiders played like s***(Gannon included) and then when they finally got their s*** together, the refs blew a couple calls badly which took the last breaths out of Oakland....the first one was when Charles Woodson was called for pass interference on McCardell...as I told roman, I'd run from South Dakota to Chicago and streak across Comiskey Park in the home opener with the words "Carlos Lee for Gold Glove" written on my front and back if he could have caught that ball and gotten both feet in bounds. The second one that was blown was the 2-point conversion where Porter actually did catch the ball in the air and was then pushed OB while still in mid-air, and no one saw it....let alone the numerou sother plays where the refs favored Tampa tremendously...like I think on Oakland's second 2-point conversion attempt, someone on Tampa was offsides and that call was missed...Oakland should have been given another shot at the 2-point conversion....that could be maybe a swing of 7 points from the PI call and then you could add 4 points to Oakland's score...while taking away 7 from Tampa because Gannon just threw that last INT to Smith out of frustration and what not....and I see the possible score being 34-32 Tampa, but that's not even factoring in a possible game-ending drive for Oakland that could have ended in a Seebass GW field goal. This game was a lot closer than the actual final score showed.
  16. Moorman? You are no Bills fan, no way!!!!!! Scott Norwood is the kicker in question. As for Tom Brady, I loved watching him play his college career, including two outstanding years as starting qb, in the same uniform as appears in my signature - Come on....you gotta give me some slack. How the hell am I supposed to remember one of the most depressing moments in Bills history? You're supposed to forget those things, and that's exactly what I did! I don't know how I messed it up that bad though....Moorman is the punter for the Bills right now....don't ask me how I messed it up that badly...I guess it was because they sound a little a like. Besides, I was like 5 at the time it happened....I was barely out of diapers and I had finally caught on to chewing(or had been chewing for 1 year atleast...seriously....once, when I was like 18 months old, I found a peanut M&M and swallowed it whole....no joke....I found my parents and they got it out of me...when I was like 4 I finally figured out what those hard white things in my mouth were for)...you expect me to know anything about the Superbowl yet or even the great organization that is the Buffalo Bills or even the Chicago White Sox(hell, with the way my dad was, the only team I knew was the Minnesota Twins...quite sad)? Atleast I'm alright right now!
  17. Atleast I got the MVP right....MVP - RICH GANNON (for the Bucs)
  18. Sideshow...I gotta theory....he's a Bucs fan.
  19. That's a damn good idea....I hope to god that Manuel figures that out...because it's a good idea. The Twins have hit Colon hard in the past....but Joe Mays was a Sox killer up till last year when we scored 7 runs on him in about 3 innings or something like that when we won 14-14. I think that was the game that was on ESPN...and Maggs turned on a Romero pitch inside and yanked it down the line and it was just barely gone. Man...I miss baseball. After the Pro Bowl next weekend, we got 2 weeks before ST starts....and then about 6 weeks till the season starts. And then the season starts and we have a fun time all over again...and hopefully I'll get a package so I can see the Sox almost every game this year.
  20. Mike Jackson's a righty...and the Twins are trying to balance out their lineup anyways....which was a major reason they got rid of David Ortiz. They will use Matt LeCroy as their everyday DH for this year...and he's a pretty good hitter...and he can play catcher. How many damn catchers do the Twins have that are good hitters? Pierzynski, LeCroy, Mauer in the minors, and they just traded Javy Valentin away to Milwaukee and he hit 20 homers in the minors....sheesh.
  21. The last 3? Highly doubtful. In 1999(it was actually 4 Superbowls ago), that was a very good Superbowl, and the Titans were 1 yard short of tying the game up when time expired....that was an incredible finish. In 2000, you saw a defense that was one of the more dominant defenses we have seen in a damn long time, and a QB that was not even good but had won numerous straight games. Last year was one of the better Superbowls we have seen in a long time...possibly even better than 1999's Superbowl. You could basically say it was the Bills Superbowl that wasn't....because I believe 10 years ago prior to that Superbowl, the Bills missed winning a Superbowl by inches, with Phil Moorman(?...sad...I can't even remember the kicker from my favorite team from years ago) kicking it...but Tom Brady marched his troops down the field and Adam Viniateri kicked a field goal from 45 yards out or whatever it was and that was quite possibly the finest moment in Superbowl history....I don't know how many other Superbowls have ever ended like that...and all this 5 months after the 9/11 terrorist attack....and boy was South Dakota proud of its South Dakota kicker Viniateri(and he went to SDSU, not damn USD)....that was an incredible Superbowl. This one is looking like it could be good...but after that call, it looks like the refs want Tampa to win as well. I'd guess that Tampa will win this game mainly because the refs have screwed up two calls so damn badly.
  22. I think we should sign Mike Jackson to a minor league deal...and then use either him or Almonte as a reliever for when one of our relievers goes on the DL....Mike Jackson knows so much about relief pitching it is insane, and could share that wealth to our pitchers(I think he was a major reason the Twins had success in the pen last year) and he would also tell us things about the Twins pen and pitchers as a whole...like what they throw, where they like to throw it, how they like to throw it, how they like to throw against our hitters...etc. And I'm sure we could get him for that minor league deal or $500,000...I think that'd be the best $500,000 KW ever spent.
  23. Shiiiit.....damn officials. Just took any chance the Raiders had at coming back away from them right there....that was a bulls*** call on Woodson's pass interference....if McCardell could have caught that ball and stayed in bounds, I would have run from my home in South Dakota to Chicago and streaked across the outfield in Comiskey during April with a message on my front and back that says "Carlos Lee for Gold Glove!" But Shania Twain is damn hot....wow.
  24. What did everyone think of the halftime show? I realized something....the only country music I like to watch is Shania Twina...everyone else sucks. Notice how I said watch and not listen to. Goddamn, how old is she? She is f***ing hot! And then there was so much cleavage....I was hypnotized for the time she was on
