That’s crazy to move a high school kid to the big leagues that quickly. One of the last to pull that off was Alex Rodriguez. https://www.thebaseballcube.com/content/player/156293/ Look at Bryce Harper. https://www.thebaseballcube.com/page.asp?PT=player&ID=222138 Or CJ Abrams. Under 500 minor league plate appearances before being promoted. Then you’re asking a kid who has only played on the infield his whole life to make that conversion in season? Maybe if you’re collegiate relievers like Sale, Crochet or Joyce you can pull that off.

Can't do any worse than 1-7 so far. Not sure if we should be thanking the Guardians for preventing the Twins from running away with the division or wishing the Guardians were already behind the Sox in the WC race instead...

And then suffer but weather 3-5 injuries...should do like some teams are doing and draft only pitchers. Maybe it was CLE recently.

Thank god.

If they blow it everyone would say they're not acclimated to save situations.

That was always going to be a tough turn with Leury flashing across...

Sigh.

Things are just never easy this season for the Sox. Other than last night's game in a way.

Then you've got Grandal... The weird thing with Kendall is that he was a starter not that long ago so you'd think he would have a bit more endurance.

Or Iowa cornfield.

He was really good for two teams last year and had double digit saves. That has definite value.

Jesus outfield defense against Sox the last ten days or so...

Only Leury's sub 500 ops bat could make that noise.

Stone laying into Sox illogical defensive strategy. Haha.

Pollock Leury Kelly Harrison

Wow. Could have had a little urgency there dude.

One hour ago was thinking we could get back in the race to now wondering if we could blow this one and recover... Sigh.

Foster? Don't say Graveman is unavailable today?

Nobody up in the pen?

This team is going nowhere with 1 1/2 reliable relievers in Graveman and Lopez.

They definitely are smart enough not to plug Pollock into their RF. (And I still can't believe they're recalling Jimenez to play next week.)

Moncada now up to .189.

Need Kelly not to give up 2-3 since Sox are paying him $750k per appearance.

Who do the Yankees have in LF or DH? Rizzo/Stanton/Judge sometimes...but today it's Miguel Andujar in LF.
