Then it should have "certified” in front. Are you sure that Collins has this designation? It's funny, I can't say I was a Teacher with two Master's degrees. Need to have a PhD as well. But still not Teacher, then it's Dr. Lawyers have seven years of education and have Juris Doctor degrees on their diplomas but are not Doctors somehow, either. Or financial planners, lol. CFRE or whatever that designation is. Yet CPA's are not Accountants either. Guessing someone in your family was/is a "Realtor" Q: Why is “realtor” often capitalized? It drives me crazy. It’s just a job description, like “chef” or “dog catcher.” What’s so special about realtors? A: The term is often capitalized because it’s a registered trademark in the US for a member of the National Association of Realtors. Most standard dictionaries capitalize the term, including the online Merriam-Webster and American Heritage dictionaries. One notable exception is Oxford Dictionaries online, which lowercases the term in its US version. The Associated Press Stylebook capitalizes “Realtor,” but recommends using “real estate agent” instead unless “there is a reason to indicate that the individual is a member” of the association. However, the Oxford English Dictionary, an etymological dictionary based on historical evidence, lowercases “realtor".

And same thing with Alabama getting knocked out for losing to UGA in the SEC championship game when all those other teams that are going to make it are protected simply by not playing. Oklahoma the way they looked against LSU doesn't deserve to make it but the way they are playing now offensively. But maybe the most Top 25 wins and also dominated Michigan. Did BYU have any tough non-conference games? Utah had TT but the B12 was way down this year. Vandy and Texas are right there with Miami IMO. Could just flip a coin. Florida State today looks terrible but not early season when they beat Alabama. Same with Florida over Texas. And if Mississippi falls out of hosting a first round game (7th to 9/10) their fans will probably blow up Kiffin's old house. OU certainly is not more deserving to take 7th/8th place. Which leaves ND or Alabama leadfrogging..Bama makes sense if they beat UGA, but then THEY lost at home to OU and almost lost the Iron Bowl and to South Carolina as well. Fifth time in one calendar year for UGA and Bama to play, which is quite crazy in and of itself.

Rinse. Repeat. Foster Griffin, forner KC first rounder and one other guy coming back stateside will be cheapest options. https://www.bleedcubbieblue.com/chicago-cubs-trade-free-agent-rumors-ideas/201899/cubs-free-agent-target-foster-griffin Option 3 will end up probably like LHP Kyle Hart and is more or less an afterthought. Kona Takahashi (29)* The Seibu Lions are expected to post Takahashi this offseason. The right-hander has a 3.39 ERA in nearly 1200 innings at Japan’s top level. He’s coming off a 3.04 mark over 148 innings. While the run prevention is solid, Takahashi doesn’t have the bat-missing stuff that’d generate huge big league interest. He struck out just 14% of opponents this past season. An MLB deal is possible, but he’s unlikely to command more than a couple million dollars. There are some similarities between Takahashi and Shinnosuke Ogasawara, who signed a two-year, $3.5MM deal and pitched in a swing role for the Nationals. mlbtraderumors.com- SoxMachine Podcast on Free Agent Pitchers
Pagan's going to be way too expensive due to 2025 success...serious case of buying at top of his market career-wise and age as well. Blackburn is "sure okay fine whatever." Farm system SHOULD at this point be producing cheap/er replacements to plug in that have a lot more future payoff.- $$$$$$Money
Was reading a Brewers' forum after the Williams signing and thought this was interesting. Lots of fretting over a $136 million payroll and whether they will have to trade Peralta Megill or Mears to free up space for deadline deals in mid-summer. Ofc some argued this is the same exact going on a decade with MIL and owner Attanasio. "PLUS, the Brewers had some pretty large capital expenditures in the past few years. 1-Dominican Republican Academy. State of the art facility in AZ and the Carolina Affiliate and their investment in their ~75M stadium. They had Rick Schlesinger on to talk about those investments and while they initially committed around $20M to the first round of the DR facility@(when it had just 22 Dorms) the 31 Acre facility now has 120-some dorms and the price ballooned both there as well as the AZ facility that was originally projected to cost $60M and due to Covid, related supply shortages, it escalated to over $100M. ALSO during this time, the Low A Carolina Affiliate... which we don't know what they spent to buy the team (about $20M) or to invest in the facility (estimated at $35M). That, as well as Miller Park investments/renovations is a WHOLE lot of money from ~2018 onwards and they likely have pretty significant debt payments each year when added up cumulatively." https://brewerfanatic.com/forums/topic/46422-brewers-reportedly-concerned-about-payroll/#comments ONE more comment regarding this... which... just drives me nuts in general, but Mark Attanasio owns about 34-39% of the Brewers. He's their principal owners, not the majority. But the 40%... that's... really "out of touch." Especially for fans who I think know better. That's a good talking point when you're trying to troll another team, but... it lacks ANY nuance that I would expect.- Devin Williams signs for 3/50M+ with Mets
It remains possible that the Mets can still add Edwin Díaz, league sources said. Williams' deal is $45 million plus a $6 million bonus, prorated equal over the three years (in total, $15 million is deferred; $5 million each year). (@JonHeyman first with some of these figures.) https://t.co/7qywL6eRO4 — Will Sammon (@WillSammon) December 2, 2025 A lot of concerns that Mets' fans will be even tougher on him than NYY fans and that his personality might not be a great fit there.- Devin Williams signs for 3/50M+ with Mets
Wow...two guys who flopped in 2025 sign early in Helsley and now Williams. Hedge against Edwin Diaz leaving for more than Cohen/Stearns is willing to pay? Thought he could go back to Milwaukee on pillow contract but not in this market. NY also to deal with Alonso FA and possibly trading O'Neil with all the rumors swirling about bad chemistry with him and Lindor. Already changed out Nimmo for Semien.- MLBTR Offseason Outlook on White Sox
Kyle Higashioka is a veteran and predictable 1.5ish fWAR backup catcher. Makes around $6.75 million. I'm not trading either Jones or Dominguez unless the replacement is a guy who clearly will be the full time guy. That's not the case here. That's a huge risk for the veteran Yankees. Would say the same thing if they were trading for the much more high profile Dalton Rushing. The Yankees can simply wait until mid season for a guy like this and pretty much just take over the contract instead of giving up a lot of FV potential in the off season. Ofc it all depends on Yankees' internal scoring evaluation of Quero as a 120+ game catcher.- 2026 Old Sock Drawer

Only Georgia’s Kirby Smart would top Kiffin based on 2025 data, per USA Today, and represents a $4 million bump for his base salary with the Rebels. Kiffin’s deal includes several performance-based bonuses, as expected. Should Kiffin lead the Tigers to a national title, he has a clause that will make him the highest-paid coach in the sport, according to the report. He also can get a $4 million bonus for LSU winning the SEC and the national title in the same season, with $1 million for the SEC crown and $3 million for being the best team in the country. https://nypost.com/2025/12/01/sports/inside-lane-kiffins-91-million-lsu-contract-after-ole-miss-divorce/ Much more impressed with how Cignetti has gone about transforming Indiana and not just jumping at the first Penn State-like offer thrown at him.- 2025/2026 College Football Thread

No matter how you slice it...Quero might be worth more to other organizations than the White Sox. He's just not a DH for 60-70% of the at-bats at that position. Sosa is better suited for that DH spot, all things considered. O'Hearn will likely play for a contender at this point in his career if the money's the same. Strong side platoon. Sox certainly won't pay a premium. Nor should they. First half 2025 was probably his peak performance. MLB.com has him to the Nats...whose lineup is much closer to contending at least of Crews can figure things out. Nationals: Ryan O'Hearn, 1B/OF/DH Washington has graduated a number of position players through its system over the past two years, but first base remains a need. O’Hearn made his first All-Star team in 2025, hitting 17 home runs with an .803 OPS in 144 games with the Orioles and Padres. The 32-year-old can also play right field, providing versatility to whichever team signs him.- MLBTR Offseason Outlook on White Sox
White Sox: Adolis García, OF García became a free agent after the Rangers non-tendered him, and although he hasn’t looked like the two-time All-Star who averaged 32 homers, 99 RBIs and a .777 OPS between 2021 and ‘23, García still averaged 22 home runs and 80 RBIs during the past two seasons, albeit with a .675 OPS. García could look to sign a one-year deal in an effort to re-establish his value. https://www.mlb.com/news/free-agent-match-for-every-team-2025-26- 2025/2026 College Football Thread

He's not going to retire at 36-37 and move to a Buddhist temple. The last guy I can remember doing something like that was a fifth starter that went to the Royals from Seattle and left the very last year of his contract on the table because he didn't want to go through another rehab. That was something like $10-12 million though, not $30 million.- Dylan Cease to TOR, $210mil/7 years
