  1. Ventura is one of the lowest paid managers in MLB. Compared to guys like Maddon or Francona, he's a pauper.
  2. Hostetler says. Not sure about Fabian (advanced stats/scouting/tech geek). Haber was hired by Hahn, so not sure how much we can trust him.
  3. C'mon Ventura....go with just one outfielder. It would be your legacy.
  4. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 07:57 PM) They tried. Dumb. They then walk Shaw to set up the DP with Vasquez. No point to keep it on.
  5. MIGUEL ASENCIO. MIGUEL ASENCIO!!!!! No confidence in fastball...lol. All splitters. "This guy deserves a loss. Horrendous. This is what you call, get the hook!" NESN
  6. Red Sox announcers amazed Putnam is throwing splitter after splitter after splitter.
  7. Young bunts, they just walk Shaw to face Vasquez.
  8. Duke is warming up in the bullpen. Evil of two lessers or lesser of two evils? Let's try 6 on the infield today, just for fun and to make the highlights....or 7 and just one fielder wherever the batter's likely to pull it in the outfield.
  9. SIGH. Here we go again...White Sox always find interesting ways to blow games, especially on the road.
  10. I think the most damning statistic heard today was losing 17 of their last 22 games against the AL Central. That's just...no words to describe it. Putnam has deceptive stuff but it's not dominating enough to completely miss bats, either. Generous high strike call.
  11. Dreaded leadoff walk. PR? Is Pedroia hurt?
  12. "They've really done nothing to earn a win tonight against Wright." Darrin Jackson 6 GB, and on the verge of 6 1/2
  13. If they're going to lose tonight, just let it be a quick walk-off homer instead of a 13-15 inning borefest...
  14. How did Avila miss that 83 mph batting practice fastball down the middle? Typical White Sox at-bats with RISP this year. Man, it's horrid.
  15. Lawrie got hosed by that first strike call. Didn't cut down on his swing at all like the situation called for there. Same pitch to Frazier just now was a ball.
  16. 72 strikes out of 103 pitches for a knuckleballer is unreal.
  17. Robertson up for the lead. Putnam for a tie. At least one would think.
  18. Uribe clubs his 5th homer. 7-4 Indians keep rolling.
  19. Hmmm...not sure what's going on with this game, but the baseball gods seem determined to make Sox fans suffer SOMEHOW. Trade Jones to the Red Sox immediately, his value's never going to be higher!!!
  20. QUOTE (CB2.0 @ Jun 20, 2016 -> 07:22 PM) Just as much as fat ass Avi scoring from second on a hit. Garcia can run....it's just that it takes him forever to get started. Once running, he's quite fast for his size.
  21. Great, we'll bring in Duke and Ortiz will definitely homer or double, lol. Leaving in Nate Jones. Interesting.
  22. Odds of an Ortiz homer right here?
  23. Lindor just homered, 5-4 Indians in the bottom of the 8th, CLE still hitting. Allen will try to close it out top of the 9th. 8 homers. That kid can really play.
  24. And it's left up to Adam Eaton...five K's for Wright. That threat ended quickly. Another bunting strategy by Robin ends up backfiring. Wonder what the success rate has been for scoring runs in an inning where there's a bunt involved by the Sox? 10% 15%?
  25. Has Coats bunted in the last 2-3 years? Knuckleballs are NOT easy to bunt...and why was Garcia seemingly upset by high and tight knuckleball, lol?? Coats' first positive offensive contribution to the team, there. Tazawa warming up. Seems Red Sox always have a couple of Japanese relievers.
