  1. Sox need reliever/s catcher and at least one starting pitcher. Yikes. Going to have to try Quero again.
  2. Red Sox just won 14th consecutive...longest in eighty years Orioles 7 game streak broken
  3. https://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/article/the-2026-world-cup-won-over-america-and-proved-the-planet-wrong-184150962.html
  4. Bonemer behind Braden? Surprised no Weingartner or Casteel. Fauske also lower than most lists. CF still a trouble area for now. Boston Smith?
  5. "Lost behind the Caleb Wilson show this summer, however, has been the Swain horror show. The Bulls tried to give him point guard reps, allowing the twitchy, bendy 6-foot-7 wing to test the limits of his skill set. While Swain has a unique ability to pressure the rim, he's a non-shooter, which comes with inherent challenges in the modern NBA. Moreover, he can't really finish at the rim in Vegas, which was a strength in college. He has four made field goals in four games, shooting 12.9 percent. The passing looks stilted (2.3 assists to 1.8 turnovers). He's predetermining too much, struggling to react to defensive pressure in the moment. It's far too early to write off Swain, but Chicago has a bunch of forwards who aren't reliable shooters and a ball-dominant jumbo point guard in Josh Giddey who has never spaced the floor. That could be a tough environment for Swain, who might need more freedom than most prospects to work through the warts and gain the confidence necessary to maximize his gifts as a slasher and playmaker." yahoo.com/sports

  7. Schriffen much better at WNBA with Holly Rowe, even though he only got the call to do the game yesterday in Vegas. Guardians have to take on Skenes...
  8. Essentially picks 3/4/6/11 were all made possible by the Gonzalez trade...and the Thome family's generational wealth. Especially the three prep players, who enjoyed the NIL leverage specifically on their side. Pick 20 Fennell was the contingency plan if anything went awry at 3/6/11. But for now those three kids partially represent Jacob Gonzalez for all intents and purposes. You can throw Volchko in there as well, but he was never going to be the most challenging situation to deal with.
  9. Cheering too hard for the Cubs won't go over well...especially when the Tigers pose more of a threat than MN.
  10. B.Montgomery will soon be off after he exceeds rookie limits. Pitchers are 50 IP.
  11. Soriano would be a decent fallback option...need depth/innings more than anything.
  12. Seller's market If you take Skubal off the top of the list...that tentatively puts a scuffling F.Peralta there, but still 18-20 teams chasing the same thing, quality pitching. Maybe Mason Miller's availability takes 1-2 more better prospects off the board, though. But now Aroldis Chapman gone...maybe StL still tries to sell high on 31 year old O'Brien? Scherzer/Bieber yet two more wild cards.
  13. After Skubal is eliminated...if he is...you have the Rays Dodgers Braves that all have more prospects to spare to go after Detmers.
  14. Detmers and Skubal will cost too much prospect capital. R.Ray Wacha1A/Lugo1B E.Rodriguez Flaherty will be more about salary relief. F.Griffin D.May Lambert Soroka another four maybes in teams of inclusion on the market.
  15. Would the Angels really want Quero back??? Why? Carlson is still at least three years away and needs to add power/strength. New Angels' GM will likely want prospects closer to AA/AAA with the ability to impact the 2027 roster.
  16. Hard to get an underpay in a clear seller's market....unless it's taking over a bad contract and holding onto prospects. Will JR/Boyer authorize payroll bikes...based on increased/projected revenues?
  17. Red Sox now one game over .500 S.Gray Chapman off the market. That's something like 12 or 13 in a row
  18. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/curtis-mead-had-breakthrough-first-191500130.html References the work he has done with Nationals' hitting lab. Very thorough look at him this year. Notes former Rays' connections to Butera/Johns and new GM. Playing in the WBC with Bazzana's constant energy around him also seemed to help.
  19. Mead's 5 4 4 3 box score line with three doubles definitely boosted some fantasy teams... Has his BA almost up to .260 too. Now have to retract that nickname.
  20. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/dodgers-could-offer-tigers-potential-103922105.html https://www.yahoo.com/sports/articles/rays-dodgers-now-predicted-battle-163831353.html The Rays, Dodgers, Braves, and even the Phillies could be in the mix," Caleb Kerney wrote. Braves' possible pieces for Skubal "If the Braves can keep Spencer Schwellenbach, Owen Murphy and J.R. Ritchie to take up the mantle in Skubal's eventual absence, it becomes easy to stomach the loss of Caminiti, Waldrep and Fuentes."
  21. Pereira has to be on active roster or exposed to waivers? They will give him a LONG rehab assignment in AAA first.
