  1. Then you will end up like NIL with the SEC and Big Ten professional equivalents totally dominating....East and West Coast would run all over the Midwest and Rust Belt.
  2. Not counting on it with Cannon going, but we shall see. On paper, Soriano should have the advantage.
  3. Cotts spent the 2002 season at Single-A Modesto of the California League, winning 12 games in 28 starts. During the off-season, he was traded to the Chicago White Sox in a six-player deal involving relief pitchers Billy Koch and Keith Foulke. To me 2005 was all about Contreras' brilliance and Jenks' emergence in many ways, but every single member of the roster contributed...El Duque Blum Iguchi Pods Buehrle in relief Uribe Crede. Cotts and Politte even Hermanson and Shingo earlier.

  5. Jesse Chavez Jake Marisnick trip down memory lane... Colson with his second K. Montgomery 102.1 ev to LCF on the homer. Elko ev 108.9
  6. Yes, he's fine there...
  7. Six teams claim that same territory. Cubs Brewers Sox Twins Royals Cardinals
  8. There's no such thing as facts at hand here. You have the burden of proof if you accuse someone of lying. If that's the battle you want to fight of all the misrepresentations and mischaracterizations that abound around here, more power to you. A completely dispassionate observer waded into the so-called evidence and questioned your accusation very succinctly.
  9. Lol…yes, you’re all playing 4D chess and soon to get a lucrative job with the Signal app. Dozens? Wow, you and Bob Sacamano are multiplying like flies.
  10. MTSGAA Make Taylor Street Go Away (Again) Since drafting outside of Flagg Harper and Bailey is a total crap shoot at this point, 98.5% of Bulls' fans were probably excited by the win and celebrating. Maybe that will even be enough to pressure Comcast on carrying CHSN. PS: Also, you clearly didn't read The Catches in the Rye or you would be able to spell Caulfield correctly.
  11. Rosario's fine...and the White Sox already THINK they have that player in Brooks Baldwin. https://www.thebaseballcube.com/content/player/204501/ While he's already 25, he has a career 783 OPS in around 100 MLB at-bats, which is pretty darned good for an infielder these days. Can play all four infield positions, RF....and undoubtedly LF if he practiced. 890 ops in the minor leagues last year. Career minor league OPS of .789, so pretty consistent production throughout his career. Quintessential 2-2.5-3.0ish fWAR guy, maybe, IF IF IF he could ever earn consistent everyday playing time. Canario's the much more interesting/exciting/entertaining "all or nothing" player...Rosario perhaps more useful, but the White Sox just don't have any legit OF prospects in AA/AAA.
  12. The six home runs were an Orioles Opening Day record Baltimore's offensive attack was powered by Adley Rutschman and Cedric Mullins, who hit two home runs apiece. Tyler O'Neill and Jordan Westburg also went deep.3 hours ago
  13. The last World Series winner to primarily utilize a "closer by committee" approach was the 2014 San Francisco Giants. Sergio Romo's Struggles: Romo, the Giants' primary closer, struggled in the first half of the 2014 season, leading to his removal from the closer role and the team's shift to a closer-by-committee strategy. Romo had 23 saves, Santiago Casilla 19 saves...Jean Machi 2, Hunter Strickland 1 and Tim Lincecum 1.
  14. Pretty sure there's Connor McKnight and Brooke Fletcher, Garfien on the t.v. side, but not sure about the website/writing side of things.
  15. Use them on who, exactly? Cal Mitchell? Veras? Terrell Tatum? There's just no even marginal MLB talent at Charlotte and likely Birmingham as well. Alexander Canario would automatically become their best outfield prospect (all the way down to A ball) if he's claimed/traded for. The very best option RIGHT NOW if you want a young outfield is probably transitioning Brooks Baldwin to the outfield.
  16. At least this will put more pressure on Comcast to carry CHSN...hopefully.
  17. Angels' Ryan Johnson makes opening day roster, skips ... Reuters https://www.reuters.com › sports › report-angels-ryan-j... 2 days ago — The Angels have aggressively called up their top prospects in recent years; Chase Silseth (2021), Zach Neto (2022), Nolan Schanuel (2023) and ... Not like those guys have exactly LIT the world on fire, have they? Reminiscent of KW/Hahn picks like Royce Ring, Zach Burdi and Aaron Poreda, to name a few. Drafting for major league (immediate) needs.

  19. Many baseball fans took to social media Thursday to report issues streaming Opening Day games on MLB.TV. Fans shared various accounts on X of encountering error messages while trying to watch games, with the issue lasting at least an hour during the early slate. The league said it experienced a technical issue earlier in the day, and as of Thursday afternoon, the service was back up. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6236619/2025/03/27/mlb-tv-outage-opening-day-2025/

  21. 8-1 versus 7-3, pretty darned close, nobody saw a blowout coming with Kukuchi vs. the inexperienced Burke.
  22. Did McGuire make the Cubs or sent down? Funny that both Nicky Lopez and Jankowski were both there at the start of spring training...
