Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox
Except those attempting to understand what kind of owner the brother will be lol... What other context is there to look at Justin? Extrapolating his investment style into a baseball front office strategy???

Jim Callis with specific Janish comments on most of the Sox best prospects and a few others
Seems Janish a little skeptical of the decision to draft a SS that might not even profile there in the big leagues...coming from someone who grew up playing on the infield himself.

Jim Callis with specific Janish comments on most of the Sox best prospects and a few others
https://www.mlb.com/news/chicago-white-sox-spring-training-prospect-report-2025 Everyone but Braden… “Jacob (Gonzalez) is in better shape this year,” Janish said. “He got beat up last year in his first full season. His DNA is more geared to contact than power, but he can learn when to take a shot at the plate. I was skeptical initially of whether he was a big league shortstop, but he knows what he can and can’t do and makes all the plays. He was the shortstop on the Double-A champions and he’s better than he gets credit for.”

Ishbia increasing minority stake in Sox
The Phoenix Suns are reeling right now, and are playing more like a team that is dreaming of Cancun than the play-in tournament. It has been a long season - and unfortunately for them - we're not quite at the finish like yet. The Suns finding themselves in 11th spot in the Western Conference, stuck between a rock and a hard place. The Dallas Mavericks above them continue to do just enough to hold onto the final play-in spot, despite having the worst six week stretch of any professional sports team ever. Kind of impressive that the Suns can't overtake that when you think about it. Failure to do so will see Phoenix hand over a valuable first-round pick to the Houston Rockets as well, a nightmare scenario.

2025 MLB Draft
Might as well just play Braden Montgomery in CF and find a LEGIT college SS with carrying tools.

Rojas has fractured toe...
Jimenez and Moncada kind of set the precedent organizationally.

Opens up spot for Meidroth or Baldwin potentially...or Ramos. Nick Maton and Tristan Gray would be the major dark horse candidates.

Wow. Now Rojas. The Meidroth lovers might get their wish. Bold prediction: Ray Ray will not invoke my name in an OP at some point in the season.

Sean Burke Opening Day Starter
That's insane. He throws the ball as well as anyone in organization not named Grant Taylor. They really are complete idiots if they prioritize Cannon Bryse Wilson and Perez over him.

NCAA Women's March Madness....
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/womens-basketball-maintains-strong-tv-ratings-and-attendance-this-season-ahead-of-march-madness Anyone want to predict a winner? There's obviously South Carolina, UConn (pretty much the co-favorites), then you have USC and UCLA, Texas and Notre Dame...there's not much belief outside of that TOP 6 grouping that any team could win it all. Maybe LSU would be 7th, but the LV betting pools are only looking at these six names and then there's a big falloff to the next. Duke and TCU aren't strong enough to be considered as capable of winning the whole thing. Either USC or UConn will knock each other out being in the same bracket...UCLA has the #1 overall seed over South Carolina.

Sox Spring Training notes
Is that your heart as a Sox/prospect fan OR as an experienced physical therapist? Realistically, he's much better off trying to play 3B than SS in terms of the everyday physical demands of that position.

Sox Spring Training notes
Which is why the BEST thing for the pitching staff is to bite the bullet offensively and just stick Amaya at SS. Bergolla's the only other realistic candidate that can handle the position, but is at least a year or two away. They might play Meidroth there to start the season, but that experiment won't last longer than 4-6 weeks before all of his range and arm strength weaknesses are fully exposed for the world to see. REALISTICALLY, if they wanted to save money on Rojas, they could have simply signed Jose Iglesias for SS. That would have left Vargas/Sosa/Ramos for 3B and and Vargas/Sosa/Meidroth for 2B and then Baldwin would simply have ended up at the jack of all trades guy or got sent down to Charlotte to get everyday at-bats since he was pushed up to the big leagues at least half a year too quickly to fill in a positional gap.
