  1. Flappable, flippable, fap-worthy or unflappable?
  2. But he's in a protracted 3-5 year rebuild...without the ability to quickly spend his way back out. A premature Matt LaPorta/LaFatta- like return that kills off 1/2 the remaining trade capital hurts him more than anything else...he's got to establish a reputation here for looking at the long-term over possibly "winning the off season." And that ship has already sailed at this point. KC won...and outspent and entire AL Central in the process. Even Hahn pulled this off once successfully with Jose Quintana.
  3. Or he could go sideways and start to become as much a suspect as a prospect...ala Madrigal.
  4. That was two years ago. He and Cortes both have to be at 100% or they will be in a lot of trouble. Also shed King and Severino. Clark Schmidt no bueno...not for a serious contender. Or Stroman's second half. At one point, Jordan Montgomery wasn't even good enough for them to get a single post season start. That feels like ages ago.
  5. Exact problem in Philly right now...that disconnect. Players didn't know who was calling the plays...then they started freelancing wheels trust broke down. Hurts with the injuries lost scrambling ability, and needed to start throwing less deep balls downfield instead going short medium and over the middle. And the defense just collapsed like Dallas over the weekend. Worst in league since 10-1.
  6. Sox not doing Astros many favors with Graveman and Abreu (unless you seriously overvalue post season.) Conversely, already get a feeling Maldonado’s name will go down in Sox history, but not in a good way.
  7. Or you figure out a way to draft Daniels and Nabers together but that’s getting too cute. Have to go Williams and pair him with a QB coach he respects and is already familiar with obviously.
  8. Hays Mountcastle or O’Hearn. They might throw in Urias or Mateo.
  9. Basallo and Ortiz and Hall…for Cease and Santos/Kopech. Throw in Golden Spikes Vaughn for Mayo or Kjerstad. 9
  10. Can’t waste a 70 arm on 1B. Not until you prove he simply can’t adequately play LF RF 3B 2B first…
  11. 21:44 OT 100 Projected future RUGBY star REES-ZAMMIT LEAVES sport TO PURSUE AN NFL CAREER skysports 922 likes skysports Louis Rees-Zammit has announced he is to join the NFL's international player pathway programme this month and will depart Gloucester and Wales Rugby. Gloucester confirmed the immediate release of Rees-Zammit from his contract, with the player announcing the move mere minutes before...
  12. “One of the strongest arms in the system, if not the Minor Leagues, works very well for third base. Even though he currently moves surprisingly well for his size, there are concerns that he will outgrow the ability to play third and there’s a chance he ends up at first or left field when all is said and done. The kind of consistent power production the Orioles think he can provide will work from any spot on the diamond.” If they wanted so desperately to ditch Burger, there’s no indication a 45 grade glove is the right direction. To really maintain plus value, he’d have to utilize that 70 arm and tons of coaching in RF. But, as a 40 grade route runner…even RF might be too much for him. mlbpipeline.com
  13. Hanser Alberto on the left? Turned season into a bit of a monstrosity.
  14. Because the OU system has always pushed that gunslinging, let ‘er rip downfield philosophy… worked with all of them but Spencer Rattler
  15. The speculation about the severity of Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield’s injured shoulder just amped up to another level. FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer reports that Mayfield has a fractured humerus bone in his left arm in addition to the torn labrum on the left (non-throwing) shoulder. 10-21-2021
  16. Cleveland giving up on Mayfield one year early for Watson an all-time bonehead decision…chose Stefanski over their QB and judged him largely on a season he was never close to 100% health-wise but gutted it out. Watson just sat the bench in similar circumstances Baker would have tried to battle through for his teammates..
  17. Coming around to roll the dice with the new defense and get a 25-30% better return at the deadline. It’s like trading Dak Prescott, Tua, Trevor Lawrence or even Justin Fields (as of this week) when we believe Dylan’s truly an elite guy in the right situation and should be properly valued as one of the top ten out of 150 instead of merely top 25-30% or whatever. Orioles fans are acting like he is Kirk Cousins.
  18. They did an excellent job of stubbornly refusing to promote him regardless of the mess/es in the Sox outfield last year...and his Charlotte numbers. A lot like the year Alcides Escobar threw a fit because they wouldn't bring him up to the big league club well after his glory days in KC.
  19. Getz was definitely prepared to hit the ground running. We will see what happens when the ground hits back on his "junkyard" collection.
  20. Orioles' attacks brought out a little feistiness from you...
