Fire Chris Getz
There's guys like Jesse Crain, but mostly off the scrap heap. Robertson was fine...Hendriks before cancer/injury. McCann...but such a minor deal. Technically Rodon in 2021. Cueto the following year. Iguchi and Takatsu their first seasons. Almost every 2004-2005 transaction, pretty much.

Guess Trade Values of Sox Starters
The White Sox are more of a Seabiscuit organization anyway.

Going to take more than that for Kjerstad. With their new venture capital injection...they would likely go vet and take on salary rather than give away minor league talent IMO.

Dunn signing? Danks? Melky LaRoche Robertson? Keuchel? Grandal? Hendriks? Something just broke JR inside. Maybe Benintendi was the final straw with him and foolish FA choices. Or was it missing out on Wheeler Machado Harper, etc.? Hahn could just never close the deal with a single premium "star" FA.

Guess Trade Values of Sox Starters
Cole Ragans has held up so far as a starter after two previous TJ surgeries...which used to be a death sentence for a starting pitcher, especially one relying on high velo.

5-28, Toronto @ Sox 640CDT
That's a pretty low bar considering he's going to end up remembered as a starter on one of the very worst teams in the history of the sport.

Every team I follow needs a new coach/manager but the Dolphins/Chiefs. Jury is still out on SD, but Arraez and Profar have saved them so far. Sox Indiana Fever Iowa men’s BB and FB Hope Grifol at leaves gives Ramos a chance, but he defers to vets when rookies are struggling almost every times.

How in God's name did they get into a delay? This is where Greg will say all those staying until the end of the game should get a ten game season ticket package.

Other veterans Steans could trade this summer include starting pitchers Luis Severino, Sean Manaea and Jose Quintana; outfielders Starling Marte and Harrison Bader; relievers Jorge Lopez, Jake Diekman, Adam Ottavino and Reed Garrett; and designated hitter J.D. Martinez. Good luck getting a premium return for Fedde if the Mets declare a full White Flag at the deadline.

Well, you pretty much knew Woodford wasn't going to survive for very long without getting touched up by a desperate Blue Jays' team...

Sean Burke to make Knights debut this week.
Not going to count on Martin for much in his first full year back in 2025. Just full health and getting his confidence back, likely as a swing man out of the bullpen.

Rooting against the Sox
He will be back after Clevinger is gone I bet.

Story on Sox trade possibilities...
The problem is that Pham is likely to cool down at some point...his bat, veteran leadership (to some) and playoff experience are his selling points. Should be a DH though...ideally. Just not enough pop to long-term hold down that spot with a contender, obviously. Can platoon though.

Wasn't Carson Fulmer a similar situation...overusage concerns? Teammate Walker Buehler turned out to be the much better pitcher until breaking down finally. Remains to be seen whether he can ever recapture that previous form.

Clevinger to IL, Woodford coming up, Peralta DFA Part II
All the other AL Central teams that can't afford to waste all the money that the Sox manage on a yearly basis. But especially CLE and KC.

https://www.sportskeeda.com/baseball/news-what-happened-george-kirby-mariners-all-star-struck-foul-ball-bizarre-sequence Of course, it had to be a young fan wearing a Kelenic jersey lol who threw a ball and hit the wildly volatile George Kirby...who made a lot of M's fans angry down the stretch last season with some bizarre behavior. https://nypost.com/2023/09/09/mariners-george-kirby-upset-about-being-left-in-game-wish-i-wasnt-out-there/ Guess this can be moved to Ms thread eventually.
