  1. Yet another reason Kim Ng wasn't exactly a slam dunk White Sox GM candidate...simply due to her past Sox origins/connections.
  2. And he's still being listed as a Top 7-8 FA rotation target. 4.77 ERA as of right now.
  3. https://sports.yahoo.com/shohei-ohtani-is-the-most-intriguing-person-in-baseball-without-talking-to-the-media-but-hed-be-a-lot-more-interesting-if-he-did-200645107.html
  4. The only major asset is Witt Jr. and maybe Ragans now.
  5. 0-12 in Extras 7-23 in 1 run games +90 in RS/RA but 77-80 40-51 against teams over .500
  6. The opposite would definitely be the 49ers...going with Mr. Irrelevant and demoting, then dumping Lance on the Cowboys.
  7. Padres still barely alive, lol... 1-11 in extra innings is pretty damned hard to do...even with the Sox current bullpen.
  8. Kane County Cougars worked well back in the day...but much smaller scale, MW League or Low A ball.
  9. Couldn't do much worse picking FA's. (Of course leadership and talent development are much more difficult to quantify.) Or the stock market, for that matter.
  10. Colorado vs. Oregon or Iowa at Penn State 312 to 85 total yards so far
  11. Rodon and Carson Fulmer posting losses against the D backs and Royals seems fitting.
  12. And for the fact almost nobody cares any more and those are the two worst teams in the East. 2021 Field of Dreams game seems about a half-decade ago now.
  13. Winning the battle of the trenches has been the key for like forever...of course, it also helps if you have the Dolphins or Chiefs systems/schemes and skill players in place.
  14. Dayton Moore's Chris Getzie=Getsy Too close for coincidence.
  15. What was once a solid 7-2 Rangers lead now a quite precarious 9-8 lead over Seattle late.... Kelenic's 763 ops and 255 average would fit in perfectly with the White Sox.
  16. To add insult to injury...Rockies managing to get swept by Cubs hurts both draft position and puts them closer to making the postseason.
  17. Had to look 2-3 times to see that the Dolphins/Broncos score wasn't a misprint. Wow. 1966 wow. Payton picked the wrong team and QB to raise from the dead. Well except for the check I guess.
  18. Trying to get 20-20 and losing him for half of 2024 would be pretty on brand for how these last two seasons have gone. Sad. Obviously it might be precautionary and he will end up being fine as well...but this year has been a total disaster since Hendriks and Clevinger in the spring. Robert was the one shining light. It's the Sox equivalent of Miami losing Tua.
  19. Reds just managed to blow a 9-0 lead to the Pirates.
  20. Jake the Rake 34, 79 RBIs Three run bomb the only scoring in the game so far against MIL.
  21. Everyone keeps forgetting about how losing Hendriks impacted the Sox just like Edwin Diaz with the Mets.
  22. https://sports.yahoo.com/craig-counsell-might-be-the-hottest-mlb-free-agent-not-named-shohei-ohtani-what-makes-the-brewers-manager-so-special-053146528.html Craig Counsell one of the hottest FA commodities (Mets?) as a super-manager
  23. Well that and not having a healthy and confident Hendriks at the back end affected every single member of the bullpen...
  24. He can replace GR as stadium naming rights sponsor. Or just the name of the field itself. Pepto Bismol?
  25. Quero is the real key. He's at least another half year away. In the end, they will run Toukki Scholtens Patino and a couple of Tier B/C FA pitchers out there and roll the dude on holding onto Cease/Kopech. Likely looking at another 90 loss season regardless. Now if Montgomery doesn't become a stud or stay healthy...the Sox are really in trouble.
