Chasing history. Comeback seems next to impossible after surrendering yet another lead. And at least those 2022 Reds had a vastly talented farm system waiting to populate the big league roster. 2003 Tigers just three years from a World Series appearance behind Verlander and Cabrera. 1989 Orioles 87-75. Ripken Jr. gone after 0-6 start and Frank Robinson finished off the season.

The Cincinnati Reds' 3-22 start to the 2022 Major League Baseball season is approaching historically bad. Thursday's 10-5 loss to the Brewers in Milwaukee left the Reds with the worst 25-game start in franchise history and the worst 25-game start to a season in MLB since the 2003 Detroit Tigers also started 3-22. The '03 Tigers are the only other Modern Era team to start the season with just three wins through 25 games. The 1988 Baltimore Orioles had the worst 25-game start in MLB's Modern Era (since 1900) at 2-23.

Yeah...all that's true they're just doing their jobs. But JR regime always intentionally tone deaf to the beating pulse of the fan base and how angry it is after the failed rebuild and now whatever this is. Should we treat them like a charity instead? Not with multiple billionaire owners.

1993 Mets had 12 former All Stars and finished with one of the worst records in franchise history...59-103. Good DJ research. Or more likely Merkin. Goodbye lead.

Soroka at best is a placeholder/innings eater but highly doubt he can hold down a spot the entire season. Not really a shocker with his diminished stuff.

Seems they're bringing back the Players' Weekend from 2019 without the crazy nicknajersey the jerseys. That was most of the fun of it. Tie game in a heartbeat. Kind of felt like it was coming...

Without Gray Duran Correa Lewis and a healthy Buxton this is clearly a sub .500 Twins' team.

Guess he has been ordered from on high to be more enthusiastic in order to play off against Stone's normal dour nature.

The Twins have their own major problems on offense and their attendance has been close to abysmal for a division winner. Cutting payroll so dramatically due to the RSN uncertainty didn't go over well, especially when the Pohlad family is so rich.

Jimenez is being compared to Javy Baez swinging and missing sliders off the plate. Might as well be talking about Vaughn, too.

We would be just the 4th team since 1920 to ever start out 3-22... Twins' announcers picking on Getz for complaining about not being able to get anyone willing to play in front of the Sox defense when Getz was ultimately the one responsible for it. 2-0. Woods-Richardson with new career high 7 k's. Can't figure out if the Twins are getting better this series OR the White Sox are just this bad lol. Gave up series finale against DET and that was a massive two game swing in the standings. Seems like game on the line here. Almost screwed it up. Too many runners left out there by White Sox.

Story criticizing Chicago Sky on lack of practice facility goes after Sox
Also, Wintrust Arena downtown has a current seating capacity of 10,387 fans...so not sure if it will actually be possible for the SKY to outdraw the White Sox for a home game THIS season since the Sox still haven't announced an official attendance under 10,000 (even for that Royals' combined DH when the weather was terrible). That might have to wait for the 2025 schedule. Memorial Day Weekend (Friday, May 24th through Monday, May 27th) SAT. Connecticut Sun vs. SKY ... Baltimore Orioles at White Sox TUES. Seattle Storm vs. SKY ... Toronto Blue Jays at White Sox

4/24 - Good Guys @ Twins 6:40 CT - Crochet Vs. Ryan
TRAP BET Chicago right-hander Michael Soroka (0-3, 7.50 ERA) is looking for his first win of the year after allowing five runs in each of his last two starts. Right-hander Bailey Ober (1-1, 4.91) will start for the Twins. Ober picked up his first win his last time out.

It was a great career, Jose, but what's up this season?
Pham Grossman Chavez Shaw, etc. Somehow, almost inexplicably, we're in the middle of the pack for the mean age of the active MLB roster. No shot at Johnny Cueto again, though.
