  1. Dioner…although Dinner might be more appropriate in retirement now.
  2. Just tied Cardinals for first at 21 blown saves. 21 bs / 38 opportunities=45% success rate 2. Chicago White Sox - 20 The White Sox are right behind the category leaders with just one less blown save. The franchise had thirty-seven instances where a pitcher could save the game but could earn it on only seventeen instances. Chicago White Sox player Luis Robert during the 2023 All-Star week( Source : instagram ) Their inability to maintain the lead has been one of the main reasons they are fourth in the Central division of the American League with a record of 38-54. They have conceded the third most home runs in the league and have an ERA of 4.53. Joe Kelly leads the team with six blown saves, the second most in the entire MLB. The relief pitcher is followed by his teammates Reynaldo Lopez and Kendall Graveman, who have five and three, respectively.
  3. Certainly would have looked better up there than Moncada or Vaughn with bases loaded...1 and 2 outs.
  4. Cubs and Reds looking to be 2 1/2 back in the division at night's end. https://www.mlb.com/standings/wild-card/2023-08-16 Also, Cubs now up by one percentage point for 3rd WC spot with Marlins and Reds right there at +4.
  5. Who else was going to close the game, Shaw? Don't think Liam Hendriks ever imagined a moment like this when he signed with the Sox...
  6. Or it could have been Juan Uribe, Jr., signing...lol.
  7. Surely he wasn't cheering for the White Sox because he would have taken too much grief here for a two game sweep at Wrigley...if they do go on to make the postseason, this will be the moment that spurred the comeback for time immemorial.
  8. You expect JR to come up with a $35 million dollar check for the remainder of 2022 2023 and 2024 buyout?
  9. Expected Bummer to somehow blow the lead...
  10. Bailed out by the double play ball...
  11. Wind aided homer by Madrigal over Benintendi. Of course.
  12. Reverse rallied the Cubs right back into the game....
  13. Burger 3 2 3 2 2B (20, off Verlander), .233, .819
  14. Who could possibly imagine Sheets making any type of defensive miscue?
  15. Only two players even over a .700 OPS. Our very best just gotten taken out on a basepaths in a way that's not exactly going to improve his metrics for that particular aspect of the game.
  16. Or Adam Dunn... Although Dunn was sort of decent after that NY Times/appendectomy season...when his kid was also quite sick from what I understand.
  17. This was pretty much called exactly by so called insiders in my post above. Except for the part about the Mercedes and two different girls. Logical explanation is that 14 year old changed next to 17 in the reporting and finally to 19 now/today/currently. She's driving a car now and that requires being 18 in the DR from what I understand. So if that's the extent of it quite unseemly but no laws were broken if he was 17 and younger...although there's a big distinction between 12 and 13 in DR law about adolescence. Basically like a high school junior or senior with an 8th or 9th grader...not exactly common, but not what it was made out to be origonally. Then you have ugly spectre of families using their daughters for a free meal ticket by attaching them to a future professional athlete with high earning potential.
  18. Well, the obvious problem is that we couldn't build a sustainable winner with the #1 farm system. So why would now technically having what is the textbook definition of a mediocre system lead to any better results, ultimately?
  19. Cut to 2:31-2:34 Face represents treatment of Hahn by Sox fans in 2017-18…at least until Kopech blew out elbow, Giolito sucked ass and Moncada led the league in Ks.
  20. Well, these days that’s pretty much enough to put a player on the restricted list. Especially if Hahn going after Jesse Rogers for writing the original Middleton story is true…then the mysterious name disappearance on the stadium boards.
  21. Surely we would have routinely heard of incidents or episodes like these with other teams right after the trade deadline. If you add together cumulative digs at the White Sox, which team is #2 in most embarrassing? Orioles broadcasting? Royals? Rockies?
  22. What is the proper amount of time before forcefully uprooting kids from a day care they have become comfortable with over the course of a number of months...removing them from favorite teachers, toys and friends? They would have treated theoretical Giolito kids the exact same way? It all just appears vindictive and petty...
