It's increasing, somehow. Was 64% a couple of weeks ago.

White Sox Baseball: At least we might be Better than the Tigers and Definitely the Royals That's an acceptable season in the eyes of JR.

Clevinger finally below 4 ERA at 3.96. As soon as this gets mentioned, he will automatically give up a crooked number, lol.

What happened to the poster Jack Parkman? Surrendered to apathy?

Shocking. Yet another groundout. Five baserunners wasted.

Grandal OPS of 739 might be about as good as it gets...

Can someone please explain why Trevor Bauer has two sets of Japanese league numbers with two different "leagues" but the same Yokohama team? One's like a feeder/minors team? JPCL and JPEL??? JPCL he has a 4.89 ERA in six starts, 13.50 ERA in 4 with JPEL... Because they're going to have to get creative coming up with 2024 starting pitchers...wouldn't rule out JR doing anything if he's trying to get down to a $125 million payroll and dump Gio/Clevinger/Lynn.

Even if you signed Giolito, you'd have Cease and Kopech on "ticking" to UFA contracts....and who exactly would be the fourth and fifth starters, let alone depth behind that? Hopefully a better plan than throwing Garrett Crochet out there.

That will just "tread water," at best. .500ish team in the AL Central is going to drive another big attendance burst. That's assuming a long-term contract (especially for a pitcher) doesn't blow up yet again in their faces...ala Danks.

Time to trade Anderson, Cease/Kopech and Robert to the Dodgers for their entire minor league system...if LA doesn't want to go up to $500 million for Ohtani, that is.

June 14 Sox @ Dodgers
Pretty sure Trayce Thompson has more fWAR with the Dodgers than White Sox...would have to look it up again. Then there's how well Benintendi (Yankees) and Pollock (Dodgers) hit for their teams before joining the Sox.
-
June 14 Sox @ Dodgers
Peralta, Outman, Heyward....all putting up better/cheaper numbers than Benintendi.
-
June 14 Sox @ Dodgers
Did he really just pull hook another ball on the infield with bases loaded?
-
June 14 Sox @ Dodgers
Pitching around Andrus to get to Anderson...? LOL.

Things that drive you crazy when watch/listen to games
Thought you guys were talking about the Nationwide jingle, lol... A different kind of torture.

Fire Rick Hahn
We never have access to this information as fans, unless the team specifically wants fans to know about it, like with the David Wells situation in 2001 where the team was getting somewhere between 60-75% on the dollar back. Lloyd's of London was one of the major insurers back then for athletes...not sure how that's evolved since back at that time, with the abundance of $150-350 million-ish contracts.

I think I've fallen in love with the Cincinnati Reds
"I just hope both teams have fun" with an emoji heart. Kauffman sign tonight. Just lost Pasquantino for the season due to shoulder surgery and Sal Perez is likely to be traded to TB even though the GM (quite obviously) has no choice but to deny it...as he's the all-time favorite for many Royals' fans over the last decade plus.

Zach is the new Leury Garcia, lol. He's played every position besides catcher and pitcher (Leury comp again) this year in Charlotte. And not just as a substitute, but as a starter.

Keep in mind, anyone beating up on the Royals...don't put too much stock into that at all. The White Sox even managed that feat for one series. Four homers already tonight at The K. McClain and India back to back. Pouring it on. 7-1. The Royals are probably going to lose one of their beat writers by the end of this week, lol.

Shocking, yes. Have gone from Dodgers/Puig to 2013-2016 Royals to Indians/Twins to Machado/Tatis/Padres to O'Neil Cruz last year (Pirates are still a fun story) and now the Reds. That's how bad the White Sox have been this past decade that someone who lived and died with the team in my teens, twenties and thirties aren't even worth watching or listening to a full game when the results are already all too predictable...except the the 7th 8th 9th inning Grifol methods of screwing up yet another unique way. There's nothing more fun than following an "underdog" team with an abundant farm system. Especially from either Central Division, because they're already underdogs (except the Cubs and Cards.) Have spent a lot of time this year watching the Rays too, which inevitably only makes the White Sox seem that much worse by comparison. In the end, I'm more embracing the sport itself than the White Sox as an individual team as we see over and over again how much JR, KW and Hahn don't really care about what the loyal fans of the team think...

Romy successful due to new light-hearted approach
Now they only have to wipe out Lenyn Sosa and maybe Popeye Rodriguez (if he ever even gets to the big leagues) from the 2B replacement list as well...or start playing one or both of them at SS to replace Tim Anderson if C.Montgomery isn't up to the task (or hurt). As far as 2B goes, Termarr Johnson (Pirates, #4 in first round) and Madrigal are the only two 2B off the top of my head that were HIGH HIGH draft picks at that particular position, and Johnson isn't exactly lighting up the Florida State League yet. White Sox need no help for SS, lol...we already found Semien, Tatis and Anderson...which pretty much outdoes the career fWAR for all White Sox 3B since the inception of the ballclub as a charter AL member if you subtracted Robin Ventura.

Zavala is the perfect example. He's had multiple homer games a couple of times...but playing him too much exposes him for all the baseball world to see. Last year was clearly his high water mark. One thing they have to do in the second half after dumping Grandal is playing Perez 60% of the time and seeing how bad it gets...or if they have to go out into "bargain bin" free agency for a legit veteran defense-first catcher to at least work with Cease and Kopech next season, assuming they aren't traded, too.
