Rick Hahn is Sporting News Executive of the Year
imagine simping for a guy who traded away the most talented player in sox history after frank thomas, for an overpriced shit sandwich. "CONGRATS RICK,I WULD WEAR UR JERSEY IF U HAD 1"
-
Tony La Russa
yeah Tony LaRussa isn't what this team needs, let's move forwards not backwards

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
That's the thing though, if sentence starts with "cheated", any sort of wishy washy self-convincing argument doesn't really matter, as cheating is supposed to be the one rule, the one unsteppable line that cannot be crossed, according to people who have a say in the matter anyway. Pete Rose has a lifetime ban from baseball, and you could argue what the astros did was worse This is a thought exercise, and even though I would still follow the Sox religiously, I would also know that I'm being hypocritical. Is cheating that bad at the end of the day? Should we hold people accountable more like Pete Rose or more like Hinch/Cora?

Tony La Russa named Manager
is there a precedent for what the timeline looks like after the season ends for when a new manager is hired? Will the interview process have already started? Do they have to wait until after the world series? Will a new manager be hired before December?

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
Astros have better analytics and data assessment tho don't they? maybe Hinch can bring some new ideas over with him.

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
imagine a sox player getting busted for peds, some of you guys would be twisting yourselves into knots telling us why you still support them, that they just made a mistake, the mental gymnastics would be amazing I picked option two fwiw

Are Dunning and/or Cease Slotted into the 2021 Starting Rotation?
My guess: Cease starts the year in the rotation, Dunning starts in Charlotte
-
Sox pitching development
Snag someone from cleveland and give them a fat contract seriously, those guys are amazing (yeah yeah bieber got shelled, but they still were remarkable)
-
Why was Dunning pulled after 15 pitches?
probably because Dunning has gotten lit up like a Christmas tree in his last few outings, and if you take that into account along with the fact that he was throwing balls right over the middle of the plate yesterday and the As were all over him, RR probably thought he had the arms available to at least make it through the whole game with a few guys. sadly Marshall, Heuer, and Foster all pissed themselves and Crochet blew out his elbow

Guess the pitcher we add in the offseason
the white knighting in that thread is so damn cringe
-
We are mad at the wrong Rick
or we overvalue Cease and the Cubs knew what they were giving up? that fangraphs piece kinda shines a spotlight on what his issues are, a guy who throws 99 and can't strike anybody out is kind of underwhelming

Guess the pitcher we add in the offseason
Threads like this really showcase how much this team takes advantage of its fan base, and the fans never learn lol They aren't signing a single damn big name starter and its ridiculous to think otherwise. The ceiling of player they sign would be the likes of Quintana, definitely not Bauer, come on.

We are mad at the wrong Rick
Sox fans should be pretty uneasy about Hahn and KW heading up this rebuild, based on their past transactions. Not many people give up players like Semien, Bassitt, Tatis Jr (beasting it right now in the playoffs btw), and even Montas for bags of balls and still keep their jobs. Those misses by Hahn & co. are huge red flags as to their eye for talent. We very well could see more players sniped by other teams because they know our front office cannot properly identify (or develop) talent. Rick Hahn is very bad at his job and could single handedly fuck up the next 5 to 10 years for this team. He is REALLY REALLY BAD at his job. Even worse than Anthopoulos, and he was horrendous.
