You'd be better off asking the Knights or Barons on twitter.

QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Apr 14, 2014 -> 04:31 PM) Did anyone catch the PUIG vs PENCE PS4 The Show thing on IGN today? Couple things I noticed: - Hunter Pence is TERRIBLE at video games - The game looks identical to 2013 - The IGN host (Greg Miller) said he's from Chicago and dropped a couple "HE GAWN" on some Ks (sox fan??) I think Pence just wasn't very good at The Show. He whooped ass in Injustice.

QUOTE (Lillian @ Apr 13, 2014 -> 04:12 PM) To be playing and excelling at that level, at his age, is impressive. It's interesting that through the first 10 games, he has all of the Dash's homers. Huge improvement over last season. He's certainly not excelling. 13 strikeouts in 41 plate appearances is still way too high.

All the stuff I'm seeing and reading on Charlotte's new ballpark makes it look gorgeous. Nice renaissance for White Sox minor league ballparks lately. http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/char...eball-downtown/

2014-2015 NCAA football thread

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 04:24 PM) I support the decision. Really sucks from a football standpoint, he would have been a monster. But I am really glad we did the right thing in the cases of Michael Dixon and DGB. The Dixon case probably could have been handled initially. That took years to materialize. In the DGB case you nailed it, unfortunately. QUOTE (zenryan @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 06:30 PM) All it took was the texts of DGB's girlfriend to her friend to come out. Maybe that pushed it over the edge, but in fairness as bmags said it happened so quickly that you can't blame Mizzou for gathering all the facts. They might have done it anyway. This isn't his first incident. -

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 11:15 AM) I have no doubt a stern punishment is coming. Pinkel seems visibly fed-up with him in a way I have not seen him talk about a player before. He gawn. -
QUOTE (GreenSox @ Apr 11, 2014 -> 01:01 AM) Yikes. Badly injured? Meniscus, out until mid-May.
-
I like the Rondon topic. We haven't talked about him enough.
-
QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 08:47 PM) Definitely possible. I think they (Snogress/Jaye/Bassitt/Beck) all have similar back of rotation/long relief type profiles. Yeah, Snodgress and Beck have been disappointments. The other two aren't as high profile.
-
Ha yeah, I am still a believer in Trayce. I've written about his year-to-year improvement at least two or three times over the years. Last year I didn't because it was a disappointing season, but there were still signs of improvement. I think he is a hard enough worker to keep getting better and turn himself into a Major League ballplayer. I don't know how good he will be once he gets there, but I still think he makes it. If he puts up similar numbers to 2013 with a slightly higher average (his BABIP was just over 22 points below his career average) and the power he showed in 2011 and 2012, that would be a significant success. I also don't think that's asking for a lot either.
-
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Apr 9, 2014 -> 12:03 PM) I am not doubting that when Hawkins hits it, he hits hard. Power has never been an issue and will never be an issue. It's contact rate. He is still striking out 33% of his plate appearances and not taking walks. At this point, I'm more concerned about the lack of walks than the strikeouts. We know the strikeouts are always going to be a part of his game. It's not going to magically disappear just because he's repeating the level. However, if he walks he can be useful with a decent on-base and big power. That's not happening right now.

Tim Anderson has five errors already. Whoops
-
I don't know why people get so worked up over it. I don't think it's a very big deal.
-
Glad to hear someone enjoyed it. Thanks for the feedback. Feel free to tell us something we can improve on or something you want us to talk about. We kind of all forgot to ask for questions earlier for this episode, but I know we'd all love to have a fan submitted question segment.

QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Apr 6, 2014 -> 10:21 PM) Inside the park HR for Trey. So a single really.
-
QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Apr 4, 2014 -> 09:24 AM) Four guys who have already or will likely reach the majors. System improving. If two out of three from Jaye, Goldberg and Danish even reach the Majors that's a win. They're good prospects, but odds are highly against all three to make it.
-
Dash lineup looks good. That Kanny lineup is going to seriously struggle though.

Now that the rosters of all four minor league affiliates are online I figured it was time to share the big board I created. I will keep it updated throughout the year. Don't put too much thought into the rookie ball rosters. Those are mostly just filler spots for now. The big league and four full season affiliate rosters are official. Hopefully you guys enjoy this resource and feel free to let me know of any errors. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key...amp;usp=sharing

QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 1, 2014 -> 01:16 PM) I like the away. Home is terribad That's funny. The home is growing on me, although it's still boring. The away is awful. Then again the hoops they had this year were my least favorite U.S. jersey in memory. The new away and the hoops will likely be battling it out for worst jersey ever. -
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 31, 2014 -> 11:34 AM) I can't figure out who plays 3B in Winston-Salem. Curley and Wagner are in Birmingham. None of Michalczewski, Shryock, Stringer or Voight seem ready for that double-level jump. Rondon I have to think is playing short wherever he goes. I have DeMichele penciled in there. He's not on the Bham roster so he's probably repeating. Here's my big board on Google Drive. The Opening Day White Sox and Barons rosters are included. The rest are just filling in names. I didn't really put my best guesses in there, just filled in gaps. Feel free to let me know if there are players who were released still listed. It's not always the easiest to track some of these guys.

It's a shame about McMillen. Fourth round pick derailed by injuries. Hasn't even reached 20 innings as a pro yet.
-
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Mar 29, 2014 -> 10:04 PM) I was talking with Nathaniel Stoltz (FanGraphs) the other day, he said a couple scouts suggested converting Blanke to pitching. Apparently Blanke's arm isn't just strong, it's prolific. And with his knowledge of pitching/catching, he may be able to make that move. No word if that is actually happening or not - just supposition. More likely, Gimenez is released, and Blanke backs up Phegley at Charlotte (especially since Blanke is very good defensively and could maybe mentor Phegley in that regard). I do not think prolific means what you think it means. /Princess Bride Anyway, I will never understand the mentality behind 'hey this guy can throw far from outfield/catcher, let's make him a pitcher and see what happens.' So much to pitching to throw a 20-something veteran minor leaguer into that spot.

Now Moyes is saying any manager would struggle to win with the current Man U team. That's not a good thing to say. He's gotta be gone. Saying things like that aren't good for the team or him. http://espnfc.com/news/story/_/id/1767135/...es-said?cc=5901
