  1. Man, he must have been on some powerful drugs....Nah, on second thought, he must have been on some VERY powerful drugs.
  2. That's hilarious. If I was living in Bum f***, Minnesota I might vote for her. She would probably win 3-2!
  3. I went with D, but I do think W/L are a factor and a pitcher with 14 losses is not a Cy Young winner. Sadly my 2nd choice (I) also had 14 losses. My 3rd choice was H. So, when including W/L record I went with H.
  4. Just think about this scary fact: None of the 5 major sports teams in Chicago made the playoffs in 2004. It's not looking bright for 2005 either. (Other than the Cubs, and well I don't really care about the Bears)
  5. Thanks. It looks like I'll be tied for 2nd with knightni and within 4 of DBAHO. It's about time he had a semi bad week!
  6. Quit it with the Bulls optimism. They will suck, they have no talent. I'm so sick of people thinking the Bulls will turn it around. They won't until one of these rookies is a star.
  7. I disagree. Hawk gets to do his stretch calls. Having him analyze just doesn't work. Let's just put it this way: I don't luuuuvv it when he analyzes.
  8. Funny how you make fun of us yet didn't make predictions yourself. Besides, as you know, we wouldn't have taken half those bets.
  9. ALDS Anaheim over Boston in 4 (God I hope so) New York over Minnesota in 4 NLDS Atlanta over Houston in 5 LA over St. Louis in 4 ALCS NY over Anaheim in 7 NLCS LA over Atlanta in 6 WS LA over NY in 6 It would be pretty cool if LA and Anaheim played though.
  10. Yeah, that was one of those games that, as a Northwestern fan, I remember where I was throughout that game. We went out to eat and the restuarant we were at had the game on. When they won the whole place started applauding and cheering, it was great. I don't know if NU had charged the field in between yesterday and that game, but they might have during the upset of a then ranked Wisconsin team last year. I doubt it was anywhere near as big. I always say good things happen when the 'Cats play night home games.
  11. I don't really mind any of the NL teams and I like having the World Champ in the NL, but this year I especially hate 3 of the 4 AL teams. I despise the Yankees and the AL Cubs. The Twins I don't dislike, but I think they would end up bumping payroll if they won the WS so that would be bad.
  12. They would lack chemistry. That would be a terrible broadcast.
  13. Something like that. I don't know if the Bulls can win that many, but more than the .250 winning percentage the Bears will have.
  14. That's just foolish. He will get nothing out of being in AAA. At the very least he has to be the garbage guy.
  15. Looks like all of us will live to see another week unless the Chargers find a way to beat the Titans.
  16. I will refrain from getting excited until you give me some proof.
  17. Yeah, that sounds like the Arizona Instructional League maybe. As for the AFL mlb.com has a nice page on it including pieces and interviews with Dennis Ulacia and Brian Anderson. AFL
  18. Back to the original point of the topic please. I am curious to know how Baj looked.
  19. AAA would be pointless for him. I would like to see the Sox get another starter (via trade of fa), but if they don't do that I'll happily start Diaz as the 5th. I think our bullpen could use an upgrade, one that Diaz would give if forced there.
  20. Yeah, that's what I meant. Sorry for the poor wording.
  21. Good to see this 'Cats team finally live up to their capabilities. Honestly though the only bad loss they had so far was the TCU game. Arizona St. is ranked and looks only to keep going up the rankings. It wasn't encouraging to get whooped by Minnesota, but they weren't going to win in the Twinkie Dome. A bowl game is still not out of the question for Northwestern (wins over Illinois, Penn St., Indiana, and Hawaii will make them eligible), but I did expect a winning record in the Big Ten (which I suppose still could happen). What really surprised me is that Ohio St.'s defense was entirely owned. Everytime Basanez actually made a pass (as opposed to throwing it away, which happened 5 or so times) the WR was WIDE open. It's not rocket science, they aren't going deep. Ohio St. was giving bump and the WRs would just cut up the middle and the LBs were nowhere to be found. What's even more amazing is that they didn't adjust! After this loss and looking at the entire resume of OSU at the moment, I don't think they are a top 20 team. They needed a last second FG to beat Marshall at home, squeeked out a win at NC State, and now lost to Northwestern. Unless they make some adjustments they should find themselves in the 21-25 range by the end of the season. Then again they will probably get lucky in a couple close games and with a little bias from the voters go into their bowl game in the top 15.
  22. The most impressive thing about this upset was that NU actually outplayed Ohio St. It wasn't one of those upsets where the underdog stuck with the juggernaut for 3 1/2 quarters and then got lucky in the end.
