  1. 17 means I don't have curfew.
  2. He's 19 too. Anybody got any info on him?
  3. Here it is. Tell me if you want anything changed. Don't hesitate, it's really easy to change something. It took me like 10 minutes anyway.
  4. I couldn't find any pics of Roelle (shocking), action pics of Baj (really shocking), or any good action pics of Bikowski. I got a few pics of Lumsden so I'm working on a sig for ya. What do you want it to say?
  5. Succeeding in Rookie Ball will be Joshua Hansen (24th rounder out of U of San Diego) because he has hit well 2 years in a row in college. While I'd like to pick Gio Gonzalez I'll be creative and say Brandon Allen because I liked what I saw of him in the scouting video from MLB.com. Allen has also hit better with wood bats as well as being a good football player (I love good athletes).
  6. Well said. His numbers have really taken the fall this year, but he has really helped the team. I'm really surprised at how well he transitioned to a starter. Not that he wasn't capable, but he has put in a lot of innings without really getting stretched out. Props to Bull.
  7. We can give them Josh Fields. Oh wait we can't trade him yet.... It would be funny if the A's traded for Beltran. The Royals have really been a minor league team for the A's (Damon, Dye).
  8. I don't see why the Indians would want to deal CC. They have some young studs that are only going to get better and their system still has some great talent that could turn them into a real power in the coming years. CC is a great pitcher for them to build around with what looks like a young team on the rise ready to make some major noise in the next couple years.
  9. Actually Maggs wasn't eligible for the draft because he was born in Venezuela. The draft only covers the US, Canada, and American territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, etc.). Maggs was home grown through the system. Same with Loaiza, he wasn't part of the draft. Though the Pirates signed him. Uribe, also not eligible for the draft, was signed by the Rockies. While I understand your point, you used poor examples.
  10. He's played the last couple days. It was probably a combo of giving him an off day, he is scuffling, and Cory Haggerty is hitting pretty well.
  11. Well it sounds like he is at least looking/talking about making a trade. If Munoz does well it will allow him to bide his time like he wants to. If Munoz doesn't do well the Sox have no other viable options for the 5th starter.

    Zach Day

He's not making enough money for the Expos to be looking to trade him. The Sox would have to hand over cash for the salaries of the guys they give as well as giving close to Major League ready players. That doesn't mean the guys will have to be top prospects, but close to the bigs.
  13. He said it because it made sense. That doesn't mean he thinks it will happen because the teams have been talking or the Sox are interested. It's hard to argue it makes sense for anyone who trades for him. Though I personally don't get what all the stink about him is. He has never had 30 HRs in his career, he's only bat .300 twice, he is batting .274 this season, his highest OB% was .389 last season. Sure he's good, but he's no All-Star or superstar like everyone keeps saying. He's 27, he's not that young either where I would expect him to bust out and hit .330 with 40+ HRs.
  14. LOL as an innocent spectator reading this thread in order without knowing the result of the game until SC did a cut in when I was reading the extra inning this was funny. People freaking out over the guy screwing up and the Mets losing. It's 1 game guys. Sure it sucks to be in 2nd, but damn, relax. Oh and we need a f*** the Twins like we have a :fthecubs
  15. Texas? Who said anything about Texas? Oakland is in 1st place.......
  16. BMac I love it how he bounced back strong. Once he gets some consistency you gotta think he could get promoted to Winston-Salem given their weak pitching.

    Jason Stumm

Similar to Sweeney, Borchard, Anderson he was struggling and then got hot. Granted Borchard and Anderson have been hitting since they got hot, but Sweeney's average is .270 and he hasn't been doing all that great since his hot streak. Lopez was really scuffling and he has been hot of late. I think he could really become one of our better middle infield prospects (not saying much) with a good year this year. He is only 20 as you said and is supposed to have great speed.
  18. It was a pretty good interview. I saw about 10 minutes of it. I wish I saw the whole thing though.
  19. What the heck are the Cubs doing at 9? They are 2 games over .500. They have the 15th best record in MLB....clearly not deserving of 9. Not that it matters.
  20. He's right. I always joke with my friends about the white stiffs in the league. Everyone knows it's true. The media needs to make stories so he says a fact and they call it racist. Just like the media b****ing about Hawkins. He knows no good can come of him talking to them. He doesn't talk so they bash him to get even. I hate the media. They are all scum.

    Best Subs

I can put them in my toaster and it really is toasted. There's are barely warm.
  22. Yeah. They haven't had a big man since Eschmeyer, and they almost made the tournament that year.
