This Marquette-Miami game really shows off how down college basketball is this year. Marquette isn't anything special and they're walking to the Elite 8. Between parity and a bad draft class of talent college basketball is downright bad this season. It's still entertaining to watch, but it's just bad.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 26, 2013 -> 11:44 AM) Yeah yeah, I know it's girls basketball, but damn these are some impressive numbers for Tyra Buss... http://scoop.hoosiershq.com/2013/03/tyra-b...-ms-basketball/ She's playing tiny schools and her team still didn't make it to state so take it with a huge grain of salt.

I'm not big into FPS games, but the first Bioshock didn't really do it for me. I guess it's 5 years old now so that's part of why it's not holding up in my mind, but I don't get what made the gameplay so great.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 26, 2013 -> 11:31 PM) Big point! And as much as it pains me to say it, win out until our next meeting Mexico! Take all the points from Honduras,Panama,Jamaica and Costa Rica. Actually I'd prefer them to lose out but we know that's not gonna happen haha I can't be worried about the rest of the teams in the group. The US has done what it needs to so far. They've had one of the tougher schedules among the teams in the hex and are still in the top 3. How good was Omar Gonzalez tonight? Oh my.

Time to get excited for US soccer's prayer in Mexico. Expectations are low, but hope is high. I love the Azteca qualifier.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 24, 2013 -> 04:11 PM) Being able to pull out close games at the end is a real skill that some teams can develop too though. IU has had plenty of experience with that. They're 6-4 in games decided by 5 points or less or OT. It's basically flipping a coin 4 times to win it. You're just being optimistic, but I don't think they've shown they're better than average in close games.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 24, 2013 -> 04:03 PM) There's Indiana's close win. You're kidding right? Every game from here on out will be close for them. Just about every time they play a top 20 team it goes down to the wire. I see no reason why that would change now. It's why they aren't a title contender in my mind. You can't expect to win 5 close games in a row to win the title.

Craft gets to be the hero, but he practically was playing for ISU the previous 4 minutes of the game. He deserves no credit for that shot. OSU also needs to run a better offense in the last minute or two. No movement and isolation for a player that was choking as badly as humanly possible? Sickening.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 22, 2013 -> 01:40 PM) Henderson, you had little to do with this win buddy. Henderson is a total dbag. It's amusing.

Mizzou is the better team, but that hasn't stopped them before this season. It's a true toss up, but I prefer to pick with talent than experience and coaching.

Duke as the 2 with Louisville. They need to stop using the phrase 'No. 1 overall seed' because anyone who thinks Duke is the eighth best team in the country is an idiot.

QUOTE (IowanSoxFan @ Mar 17, 2013 -> 11:40 AM) Being a No. 1 seed is overrated. Yes, but for the fans they care about having the local regions. That's not about the team, but about being able to go to games more easily.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 05:15 PM) Tomb Raider has been pretty good so far but it hasnt been open world yet for me. Maybe Im not far enough into it? It's not fully open world, but you can go back to find collectibles, gun upgrades and tombs. You can go from spot to spot from the fast travel camps, but the story is linear/sandbox.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 04:27 AM) Mizzou: World beaters at home, cupcakes on the road. In fairness, that was a neutral game and they've been decent on neutral floors. Wins over Stanford, VCU, Illinois, A&M. Losses to Louisville and Ole Miss. Nothing to be ashamed of there, just awful close to last night's game. QUOTE (farmteam @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 12:03 PM) How good of a fit would Collins be at NW? Read on his wiki page he was the first ever player at Glenbrook North to play college basketball. Seems unlikely, even if it meant D-1 only. Collins would be a good fit considering he's recruited the area. That said, he could easily get a better job than that. As for GBN, it's possible. They weren't very good before Collins, but they have at least 1-2 kids per year playing at least DIII now.

Big 10 Tournament Thread
QUOTE (zenryan @ Mar 16, 2013 -> 02:39 PM) For a team with so much hype, Indiana sure leaves a lot to be desired. I agree, but I've thought that all year. Anyone in the top 20 takes them down to the wire on a neutral floor. If IU meets their fans expectations they'll have to win 4 games in the last few minutes of a game. Just don't see it.

I don't know anything about the previous Tomb Raider games, but the reboot that just came out is f***ing awesome. Looks good, solid story, fun combat, fun navigation, big world, awesome set piece action scenes. It's like a longer, open world version of an Uncharted game.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 15, 2013 -> 11:32 PM) Frank Haith may be the worst overall, but nobody is worse in March than Mike Brey. 16-22 combined in BIG EAST and NCAA tournament games, and only 3 times in 13 years did he even win two games in a single tournament, and has never won three. Notre Dame plays in the deepest conference in the country. What do you expect?

Mizzou reinventing ways to lose to inferior teams. Lead almost the whole game, up 14 in the second half, throw the ball away on the inbound tied with :28 seconds left and lose. Fire Frank Haith please. There are times when I'm convinced he's the worst coach in college basketball.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 15, 2013 -> 10:24 PM) Why am I arguing against the mid major right now? What's going on? Because you're always wrong regarding mid-majors. Usually you support them when they don't deserve it. Now they do and you're against them. Makes sense.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 15, 2013 -> 09:00 PM) I'm of the opinion that you have to beat at least 1 tourney team no matter what your record is. Like I said, I'm definitely rooting for them though. Mississippi? Maybe? Either way, I think their RPI says enough for me. Normally I side with the big conference programs, but they've blown so many chances that in this case I'm siding with the mid major.

2013 BIG EAST Tournaments
QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Mar 15, 2013 -> 08:53 PM) Yes, part of the separation deal is that the Catholic 7 get to keep the BIG EAST name and have their tournament at MSG. I knew about the name part. I've decided I'm going to call then the Catholic League though. Sounds cooler.

2013 BIG EAST Tournaments
Watching the Big East Tournament in the Garden is among my fondest memories. I know it won't be the same with Louisville, UConn, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, etc. gone, but I hope they can play the Catholic League Tournament at the Garden still. Have they said they will yet?
