  1. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 09:24 PM) Selling my 360 for $180 if anyone is interested. HDMI, 20 gig, 1 year left on warranty, lightly used. I'll give you thirty bucks.
  2. Anybody know what the distance in the air was?
  3. QUOTE (Shadows @ Nov 25, 2008 -> 12:09 AM) Phillip "Fudd" Palmieri teeheee
  4. QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 09:26 AM) Iam being completely serious when I say this...drink a half a bottle of Jack and in the morning you will feel like s*** but it will be a hangover and not the bug you got.I believe alcohol can kill alot of viruses that we get. Getting really drunk can help sometimes.
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 09:44 PM) OTOH, Iowa was still searching for a QB at the time between Christensen (yet another five star recruiting bust) and Stanzi, the much less heralded player coming into spring practice. Iowa's program has a lot of momentum on its side, especially if they can manage to take down a B12 or SEC team in the bowl game. We've beaten Florida and LSU somehow, so it definitely can be done. Oh well, it's a long way off in the future, but, hey, that's all I've got as an ISU fan. I still believe we'll beat you guys next year.
  6. ISU @ Hawai'i tonight at 11 PM. Time for Brackins and crew to light it up.
  7. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 07:25 PM) Definitely not if Shonn Greene comes back. It was a very close game this year with a kid making his first ever road start in a really hostile environment. It's a series the home team is winning anymore, and I think Ferentz was stressing it a lot more this year than in year's past. If Iowa rolls into Ames next year thinking that trophy is theirs, they'll get a rude awakening, cause I guarantee it'll get played up here.
  8. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 24, 2008 -> 05:08 PM) You guys hired Brian Kelly yet? I'm very glad we didn't hire him, actually. And to caulfield, we'll beat Iowa next year. Not too worried about that.
  9. I hope the chances of this signing are......remote.
  10. Um, this crisis can be simply averted. As long as Bama loses, your National Championship is Utah vs. Ball State. Where's my money? On a side note, I wonder what kind of ratings that game would get if it was for all the marbles? Cause it'd be intriguing, that's for damn sure.
  11. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 02:41 PM) Agree. If one hunts a deer, assuming they aren't some sicko, they kill it as quickly as possible. And they use or sell or donate the meat, fur, etc., if they are worth their salt. That is being a carnivore, as most humans are. Torturing animals for sport is sick and wrong. There is a program in Iowa called HUSH (Help Us Stop Hunger). If you take a deer and decide you don't want the meat, you can take it to a locker and they will donate it to help feed the prison system.
  12. Hunting and dog fighting are not even close.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Nov 23, 2008 -> 08:42 AM) Add Rodriguez at MICHIGAN to the list...hot seat getting hotter for Bielema as well. As an Iowa grad, I thought he had the recruiting ability and motivational skills to be a great head coach, but maybe he wasn't quite ready for the big-time quite yet. I think it's 50/50 whether Bobby Stoops could have done a better job at Iowa than Kirk Ferentz has, with the much more limited talent pool, sharing the state with ISU...having no major population centers in the states like all the other B10 schools and having the smallest African/American population as well. I bet Stoops would be better than 4-6 against us.
  14. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Nov 21, 2008 -> 12:35 AM) Big 12 is a beast Iowa State @ Kansas State for the last time before being moved to Arrowhead next year. CRRRRRRIIIIPPPPLLLLLEEE FIIIIIGGGHHHHTTT
  15. It's an effective and creepy way to hit on college girls.

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Nov 21, 2008 -> 12:32 AM) I know how that goes. A couple weeks ago my fraternity had the Ying Yang Twins playing for us, and I started drinking way too early. So, I ended up puking outside the venue we had them at, and had to be taken home. Never made it inside. I don't remember any of it, but I regret it terribly. I supposedly missed an awesome night and an amazing concert. Oh man, I was a s***show the night before the Oklahoma State game. While the team was off doing their thing, I decided I really wanted a lot of beer in my system, apparently. I started of with two at Hooters, then we made it back to the hotel bar, where a couple of the GAs kept buying for me. The other video guy: "Yeah, for about the last 90 minutes of the night, you sat at the bar just judging the world apparently, not saying a thing."

Nothing quite like being straightfaced, I guess.
  19. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 20, 2008 -> 08:56 PM) Texas Tech beat East Central 167-115. That was fun and miserable at the same time. I think our two teams are gonna duke it out for mediocrity this year. We've got some guys that can pour it in, that's for sure.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 21, 2008 -> 09:32 AM) A guy who was basted on this board. I remember being at a game in August against the Angels where he was booed off the mound. Also a guy KW didn't want on the post season roster. There were no tears when he was traded for Javy. In fact, he's rarely mentioned on this board as being part of the Javy trade. He helped Contreras out tremendously. Contreras then helped Ramirez out. Hopefully, Ramirez and Contreras can steer this new kid right. There have been some Cuban busts. Maybe there is something to having another player they respect from their country and who know exactly what they are going through to help them along. Whether or not anyone thinks Viciedo is any sort of savior, it's still pretty freakin' cool that he more than likely chose the Sox thanks to those three guys. The Cuban-Sox connection is a unique one. Gotta tip the hat to the Sox as well, because they're obviously doing something right in their handling of these guys.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 19, 2008 -> 02:57 PM) I don't remember where it was posted, but it seems to be me like the areas that had the biggest moves towards Obama were in the North and is more minority populated areas. Not here.
  22. QUOTE (JuiceCruz16 @ Nov 20, 2008 -> 10:00 AM) Barnes seems like a pipe dream, but he may be a one and done guy and Iowa State would be a place he could showcase his talent as THE man, from day one. Is it his mother that works at ISU? I know my Tarheels have offered him, but I still feel they will end up with Roscoe Smith instead. I would much rather see him @ ISU then Duke though, so good luck with him if he does not come to UNC. His mom works here, his dad played here, and he's at most of our home games.
  23. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Nov 19, 2008 -> 06:34 PM) Huge, huge, huge get for ISU. Colvin will be a Cyclone. Now let's get Barnes and Kelm.
  24. I believe he became a minor league free agent.
