I don't know if 2015 is a make or break season. It probably isn't and shouldn't be considered as such. That being said, it's not unrealistic to expect continued improvement.

Boras is doing what he is getting paid to do. He's gonna get a bigger cut the more his client gets. It's in his best interest to do this, and it's in Rodon's best interest to do this. I don't know about 99.9999% that this gets done, but there's a very high chance that it does.

It'll be interesting to see where the two Iowa State guys end up in the draft, if at all. Have seen both Kane and Ejim mentioned in the late second round. Have an easier time seeing Kane get drafted.

I think our rebuild is going pretty well when you consider that our starting RF is on the DL, our closer is on the DL, the guy everyone figured is going to be our closer is on the DL, our supposed fourth starter can't find home plate, our supposed fifth starter finds home plate too often, our best hitter went on the DL, our leadoff hitter went on the DL, our ace went on the DL, a historic strikeout rate from our starting catcher, our captain basically being out there for show, the guy we traded our closer for not being able to hit..... Things are going about as well as you could hope right now considering all of that.

There's no reason to play games with Rodon and Boras. MdO should have no bearing on anything more than just a possible backup plan.
