  1. If you offer me $500k for my house - my realtor isn’t accepting anything less. You set the market.
  2. I expected them to offer and Rodon to reject it as well… since it unfolded the way it has I’ve been trying to find rationalizations. These are the most likely I think: 1.) They didn’t want him to accept 2.) They could be concerned about his health 3.) They wanted to do Rodon a solid by allowing him to enter free agency without an attached compensation pick 4.) They want to sign a starting pitcher for more than a year 5.) They wanted to scratch the back of Boars
  3. Yea I agree on all fronts. Only possibility for extending the friendship bridge to Boras would be simple things like him prioritizing meetings for them with his free agents… or maybe he would sing the Sox praise if the offers were nearly the same… like we saw a couple years back with Wheeler.
  4. I thought they were already talking… Bruuuuuuce.
  5. Most politicians can be described as free wheeling circus clowns… some are just more “special” than others.
  6. The dude is such an absurdity of a human being. Circus.
  7. Conforto, Semien, Scherzer, Rodon, and Bryant are the guys I could see us expressing interest in.
  8. I do and I think in part we can chalk up not offering one as a means to get into Boras’s good graces.
  9. I can confirm that I may or may not have liked this post.
  10. Yup. The “talking nice” fluff phase is quickly ending. This is gonna get fugly and will be awful.
  11. Since my 11 year old brain didn’t compute what was occurring back then… I found myself asking the same question. Hope someone chimes in. Thanks for asking this.
  12. The article references the phrase, “gaping hole.” I’ve heard that one before.
  13. Most insightful things we’ve seen directly stated so far… "Essentially, it's a contract offer of $18.4 million for one (year)," White Sox general manager Rick Hahn said Tuesday at the GM meetings in Southern California. "And we made the assessment based on everything we know, which includes our needs and our other targets, that that wasn't an offer we were comfortable making at this time." And then… "He was outstanding for us. ... That specific contract was not offered to him. Doesn't mean we're not interested in potentially finding a way to bring him back."
  14. What!!!! How dare you!!!! That is so unfair. Making assumptions and blanket statements like this is against board policies and I expect you to reprimand yourself!!!! The gall.
  15. Let’s sign Peavy and Samagizeya and trade them for Bassitt and Montas!
  16. Last time I try giving you a creative complement. ?
  17. Wait… we’re not going to sign Scherzer? Outrage!!!
  18. My freezer started leaking water all over my floor so his first duty would be to go shopping and secure a replacement.
  19. Yes. He’ll be more valuable to us starting. No. No. No. No. No. No further questions, Ton of Chimp poster guy.
