How do we have a record against ourselves?

“Sentenced to prison for 10 years with a gorilla pumped full of steroids” was just a reflection of my personal feelings towards him. I’m pretty sure when he was in high school we worked together… unless there happens to be another Trevor Bauer from his same hometown. Didn’t like him then and and don’t like him a billion times over after all of this stuff has become public. She was just as bonkers for different reasons. Two extremely broken people creating a trip to a horribly broken system.

This was a DVRO hearing in the family law system. There haven’t been any criminal proceedings as there’s currently simply an investigation. Not sure what about my post that you responded to made it seem like I needed an explanation… but thanks for trying.

St. Pete is flipping awesome. Used to have a large client there and would go out quarterly. Was offered to be moved there and totally would have if family circumstances would have allowed me. Even today tying run on second with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th and Eloy up to bat... He smoked that ball. We're never out of the game and it seems like it's never over until the last out. Good things indeed. Missed the Kopech home run but that was the linchpin of this one it seems. 3 - 3 to start of this challenging stretch is a good start. Im speaking from personal experience when I say that the entire family law system is absolutely abhorrent. In this case, I actually agree with the courts findings but still wish Bauer would be sentenced to prison with a gorilla that’s pumped full of hormones for 10 years. He had good representation - they did an amazing job during discovery and in presenting a narrative which highlighted legitimate issues of motive as well as concerns centering around integrity. There are cases I’m familiar with where baseless and blatant allegations are taken with merit without a compelling challenge due to poor representation… and the effect on a judges ruling can not be understated. What a tragedy and what a reflection of the insane world we live in.

It’ll be interesting how she rules on the issue of consent and weighs the contradictions in testimony and evidence. Maybe he isn’t fucked. Even though he’s fucked. This is intense. ( and yes, I’m talking to myself. )

She said there is no research uncovered which decides what the word frequent means in the dating relationship. "In this case, the dating relationship was at most tenuous" the judge said. The court finds that while a close call, it was a dating relationship. It falls within the legislature. He’s fucked. Happy to have been wrong. It certainly was a close call. I think “close call” is the favorite phrase of family law judges.

One piece of evidence sticks out in my mind. It is an exchange between the accuser and her sponsor from Alcoholics Anonymous. Referencing a photo that she was going to post to her Instagram account, she asks her sponsor what the title of her post should be. The photo showed her having a good time at a beach during the summer. Her sponsor replied to this effect, “Don’t post it. Remember, you’re supposed to be not well. If people see you happy and having fun it won’t be good.” She then says, “Soon I’ll be calling you saying, ‘Hey rich b****!” The woman from this case replied, “Yea I’ll roll up in my Range Rover.” That exchange really could weigh heavily on the decision of the court.

Closing arguments are almost done and based on how things have gone thus far, I narrowly think the judge will deny the restraining order request. There are two requirements for a restraining order in the state of California: 1.) There must be abuse of a party or their child. 2.) There must be an intimate relationship established. I think that Bauer’s legal team was able to show that there was not an intimate relationship. That term as it’s defined “intimate” has specific guidelines which don’t seem to fit this situation. It will also be close for the judge to term the abuse ( what it was ) as abuse considering a lot of the testimony and evidence that was presented at trail which may contradict what has been public prior. I also think it is not likely the police will purse criminal charges. MLB, I think will suspend him for the rest of the season. I hope the Dodgers release him or attempt to void his contract and that all teams blacklist him.
