I've heard of WSI referred to by name before on the radio but never Soxtalk. Sometimes I hear people say "other message boards" but this is awesome!! Thanks BB if you are reading this.

Anyone who has a VGA capable card/monitor can do 640x480. This should cover about 99.9% of the posters on Soxtalk. Strongbad using the text-based browser made me wonder how this site would look on one of those. PaleHoseTalk au naturale:

I didn't understand when you said it was possible to not lose image quality. Technically this is impossible but genuine fractals looks like it is the best approximation out there.

Hate to double post but this thread reminds me of that show Hey, Spring of Trivia on SpikeTV. It's another Japanese import but it's actually translated literally. Having alot of posts per page like 30 or so makes scrolling a real chore. I think sigs and avatars are a part of our individuality on this board that just needs to be kept within reasonable dimensions. If there are any good ideas for width and height please suggest them. I'm thinking maybe 400 to 500 max for height in pixels. Width doesn't really affect me so those of you with 800x600 or 640x480 (God help you) need to chime in on that. I've added a poll to get a rough idea of what people use.

Yeah, the note at the bottom of the full article indicates the averages he used would hurt the estimated FIP of teams that play in hitters parks. I believe that puts us closer to average.

I think some of the guys in their starting rotation like Davis or Westbrook are gonna take a step back from last year. And they are counting on Arthur Rhodes as their bullpen savior??? They'll probably still beat us more than they should in 2005, especially if Garland is pitching.
