I loved seeing how excited Willie was when he scored the winning run and every one else jumping up and down. Despite the fact that the season really went down the toilet this year, I cannot accuse these guys of the same lack of passion we've seen the past couple years. I smiled when the winning run scored too

Funny I saw that this morning and was gonna post it because it showed how extreme the Sox are in one direction and not the other. When I saw that I also found it hard to believe we were that clutch. Does anyone feel like we've been that clutch this year?

Sorry I didn't mean to come off making fun of it in my first post. I simply stated that it's called the World Cup of Hockey for the reason that there already is a World Cup. I didn't make fun of hockey until someone decided to call soccer crap. Who's ever heard of the World Cup of Soccer?? Nobody because that ain't what it's called. It would be like starting a thread called "The World Series" and then having it be about poker. Search on google for World Cup, you will find 6 soccer sites, a robot site (?), a rugby site, a skiing site, and a cricket site in the top ten results. There's one hockey site that comes up in the top 20.

It's alot like hockey except you don't need sticks, skates, ice, masks, and a puck, the action only stops at halftime, the crowds are much larger, its only played in every country in the world, the World Cup is actually televised, people like you don't like it, the USA sucks at it, there's a guy that says GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL, there's just yellow cards and red cards, no goal judges, no instant replay, and grass never melts.

There is only one World Cup. Anything else called World Cup must have "of Hockey" or some other sport name after it.

The unnamed 5th starter is another possibility for combined LVP. Also Damaso Marte is up there for most disappointing year because he has set such high standards. My vote went to Joe Crede because he had the 3rd base job coming into this season already he flat out could not cut the mustard.

Weird because as a Sox fan I usually look forward to July as one of our best offensive months. With Maggs feeling fresh and the acquisition of Everett combined with heating up of Rowand and hopefully Crede, I look forward to the rest of this season.
