If the starting pitchers keep pitching lights out and team gives them their near league lows in run support, will the Sox pitchers start to develop animosity to the rest of the players? I've heard before of pitchers ripping on hitters but so far nothing from the Sox. This comes up cuz I remember seeing E-Lo in the dugout of that TB game and all frustrated in that inning where Olivo struck out.

I think its called playing to the level of your competition. As much as I hate to say it, the Sox have done this for the better part of 3 seasons now.

Apparently Paul Konerko did something to deserve a start. Anyone know what that might have been?

Hopefully Rowand will teach some Sox brass that getting 2 hits a game is better than stacking your lineup with .250 hitters who are slow as all hell and hit an occasional homer. (Mostly I'm just pissed cuz I really hate Carlos Lee when he gets these rookie type slumps and its his 4th season).

Yeah I was trying to be funny. But I guess its hard to laugh whenever your team loses to Detroit.

I do remember one instance of JM doing this. Carlos last year destroyed the Cubs at Wrigley in that final game and he was batting in the #3 hole. From what I remember he stayed in that spot for the next couple weeks because JM figured Carlos must be hot if he hit against the Cubs. Needless to say Carlos was mercifully dropped down in the order eventually but some damage had been done.

How about Konerko just pinch hits always with the bases empty. At least that way the only person he can get out is himself.
