  1. Don't look now but Tony G. has played 3 days in a row.
  2. He ate that frank but what did he do with the beans?
  3. Not much to say about a split. Realistically you want to play .500 on the road so can't be too unhappy if you forget about the previous 2 series. Here are the answers: 1) Who will win the series (CHW/CLE/Split) (2 points)? Split 2) Which Alomar brother will have a higher batting average for the series (Robbie/Sandy) (2 points)? Sandy 3) How many errors will the Sox make (4 points)? 2 4) How many pitchers will the Sox use on Saturday (4 points)? 5 5) How many singles will Aaron Rowand have in the series (5 points)? 2 6) How many walks will Danny Wright issue (5 points)? 4 7) Who will lead the Sox in men left on base (4 points)? Jose Valentin 8) What will be the outcome of the Saturday DH (sweep/split) (2 points)? split 9) Will Magglio Ordonez be hitting over .300 after this series (Y/N) (2 points)? No 10) Will Danys Baez get a save (Y/N) (2 points)? Yes TIEBREAKER: What will be the run differential of the series? (Total Sox runs - Cleveland runs) -3 A couple of huge scores this time around. Congrats to whitesox247 who moves into sole possession of first place with his win. THE WINNER: whitesox247 22 (-4) (2 wins, 0 losses) THE STARTERS: elrockinMT 20 (+7) Winning Ugly 17 (+12) YASNY 16 (-4) (1 win, 0 losses) Mathew 12 (+9) (0 wins, 1 loss) cwsox 11 (+1) (0 wins, 2 losses) sideshowapu 11 (+7) (2 wins, 1 loss) southsider2k3 10 (-2) (0 wins, 1 loss) Soxheads 10 (+10) (1 win, 0 losses) BENCHED: MartePartay 9 (+8) (1 win, 0 losses) TheBigHurtBEGOOD 2 (+8) THE LOSER: abozichiu 2 (+9) (0 wins, 1 loss) I was gonna do some all star questions but I think it's too much of a guessing game. Rather we'll just take a few days off and let everyone rest. Enjoy the break .
  4. Everyday he pitches I think Flash solidifies himself as the gutsiest player on this team. I luvvvv Flash Gordon.
  5. Agreed. Konerko last year should teach Sox players to avoid HR derbies. I think the HR Challenge that Maggs won has already messed him up a bit. He hasn't been driving the ball to opposite field with near the consistency of last year. That HR today was some classic Maggs though.
  6. Yousers? Isn't that what Inspector Gadget used to say? And btw that logo sux ballz.
  7. Olivo is like half the size of Hafner. He stood in there and blocked that f***er out.
  8. Tony G deserves this. He hardly gets to play and he hits a HUGE HR before the all star break. Rowand looks awesome today too, he should be in CF every day.

  10. The Indians do scare me. They have some serious young talent if they can it all together. Brandon Phillips, Josh Bard, Ben Broussard, Travis Hafner, Coco Crisp, Milton Bradley, Victor Martinez, Casey Blake...not to mention those young pitchers from the Colon deal and the rest of the staff. These guys are gonna be good SOON, so it would be a good idea for the Sox to do something NOW.
  11. Congratulations Tom Gordon: 100 Wins and 100 Saves.
  12. BTW this lineup is classic JM. I mean Konerko is in it, Thomas at DH again, Everett needed another "rest" and we have Graffy at leadoff two days in a row. Instant classic.
  13. Indians up 2-0 after 1. Thx Buehrle, this team can really handle a 2 run deficit right now.
  14. Wade Miller? What did he do Kip?
  15. Minnesota I swear is matching us loss for loss. I dunno who is gonna be fired first now, Gardenhire or JM. If Terry Ryan is a better GM than KW he will probably get rid of Gardy before the end of this season. I am pretty sure Minny and the Sox were the only 2 teams that the so-called experts picked to win this crapshoot division this year. Right now both teams are in huge slumps and letting KANSAS CITY run away with the whole show. Give half the credit to Tony Pena maybe for doing it with a pretty sad pitching staff but the rest of the blame falls on these two pathetic teams of Chicago and Minnesota. Both of them have shown themselves to be one-hit wonders so far. It's a joke that we have a baseball league with divisions like the AL Central and the AL West coexisting. I hereby declare the level of competition in this division to be Poor.
  16. every day Paulie goes 1 for 4, his average will rise. wow
  17. Wow I think it's safe to say he's the only member of soxtalk.com to have a professional save. Keep it up Jim.
  18. They're already back on track...the track that they've been on most of this year. I know so pessimistic but we suk right now.
  19. It's been something like 8 days since Danny has pitched. I guess we should give him some benefit of doubt.
  20. Can't really remember the last time I bought a new CD period.
  21. Following 2 of the most positive weeks in White Sox history since 2000, we have one of the most negative weeks in White Sox history since about 3 weeks ago.
  22. Yeah not to mention these assholes give Danny run support today but nobody else. Think about it, 5 runs woulda won all of the Detroit games and all the TB games.
  23. No just a pinch hitter I believe because there was a righty brought in by Cleveland.
  24. Jerry Manuel did something right: He put Koch into a game we had no chance of winning...and Koch gave up a 2 run HR.
