  1. DJ to Farmer as they went to commercial "Step off. Get off me!"
  2. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 08:20 AM) If they could develop him and trade him in a few years that would be fine but the Bears have not done this since around the time of WWII so that is not likely. I think the idea is that Martz may be able to develop a quarterback, although who knows how long Martz will be with the org.
  3. Stone was saying that he thought Ozzie (head shaking) said "No changeups, no splitters, nothing but the high hard stuff."
  4. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 04:01 PM) bobby says.. "yea - i can get him" "yea - i can get him" lets see He was right!
  5. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 03:55 PM) Slider or curve to get that out? Pitch speed said 88, had to be a hard slider or cutter... It was 82 on the TV gun. It was a curve.
  6. QUOTE (qwerty @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) That could have ended up really ugly injury wise. League's mullet guided him down gently (like a cape).
  7. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 03:48 PM) i told you guys he was gonna have a big year He's juicing.
  8. I don't think Ichiro's hit counts as a duck snort. The man knows exactly what he's doing flipping the ball out there.
  9. Those Silverado/Blackhawk spots are so painful. "How do we deal with the fact that no one likes hearing hockey players speak?"
  10. Jose Molina has thrown out 4 Ray runners through 5 innings. 4 CS, 0 SB.
  11. With the language that Rongey is using on the pregame show, I guess they're probably not going to play. He says that a decision will be made at 2 PM. Usually if there's a chance they'll give an estimated start time and keep pushing it back. Not so in this case.
  12. I think they'll play. And Beckham will get a hit or two.
  13. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 01:00 AM) And we think this is a bad offense. Tied for 10th in the AL in runs scored and they haven't faced great pitching for the most part. It's been bad.
  14. 5 hits tonight for Mauer. What new. /Hawk He's probably going to have a chance for a sixth. A homer would complete the cycle.
  15. There's a "It's Black And White" radio ad that lists a bunch of stats and then says that the only stat that matters is wins. One of the stats they list is "unforced errors." There is no such baseball stat. That's a tennis term. Errors in baseball are pretty much unforced by definition. That bugs me.
  16. Would've been 100% today if not for Eric Byrnes.
  17. I thought the Mariners wore Pierre out with the pickoff attempts. Figgins fell on him twice.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 04:29 PM) As of now, this game kind of reminds me of the game back in 05 where Freddy had a no hitter against the Twins and only gave up one hit, which was a home run to Jacque Jones and we lost... I just logged on to say that I believe Freddy has no-hit-type stuff today. The homerun that he did give up was a decent breaking ball.
  19. Pierre has more mileage, but not all that much more. Coming into the season, Podsednik had 1666 pro games as opposed to Pierre's 1770. I figure minor league players play just as hard since they are trying to make it to the bigs. Minor leaguers also play more fall and winter ball than major leaguers do, which makes up for the shorter minor league season.
