Oh, and great news, I think she actually made it through the night last night without needing to go out! I got home from a friend's house at 3:30 am and she woke up when I came in. I figured I better take her outside and then hope she falls back asleep. Well, I opened her cage, and she didn't even want to get out. She just looked at me. I called her name, patted my knees, even reached out to grab her, and she just put her head back down with the door wide open. So I just closed the cage and went to bed and she didn't whine or cry the rest of the night. My dad took her out at 7 am or whenever she woke up, and that was that. I've noticed her poop is finally becoming more solid, so I'm wondering if that means she will be pooping less often and therefore being able to hold it in longer. She had runny wet poops for the first 4 days, and was s***ting 12-15 times a day. Now I think she's getting used to the new food we just moved her to a couple days ago and it's helping her poop become more solid which is giving her a chance to hold it overnight. I hope to god that's the case because I haven't been able to sleep for more than 2-3 hours at a time yet without her needing to go out overnight.

QUOTE (LDF @ Oct 31, 2014 -> 02:43 PM) does your pup does small little yeps or growl when it is walking away??? it prob the pup way of cussing you out Haha, no, but yesterday she kept trying to get on the dishwasher door when it was down, and everytime she starting to hop on, I pushed her down and said NO. I calmly did this about 7 or 8 times in a row, within like 30 seconds, and eventually she just got frustrated with me and started huffing and threw herself on the ground like a baby throwing a tantrum. lol.

Kylie McDaniel just wrote a new piece on Fangraphs about the top talents for next year's July 2nd signing period. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/scouting-th...-2nd-prospects/ The Cubs have now come off their 1-year signings freeze, which means they will be once again blowing past all regulations to sign all the top talent again, like they did in 2013. Not a bad strategy, one I wish the Sox would undertake, but also kind of s***ty at the same time that teams can exploit these loopholes knowing that an International Draft is coming soon anyway and these penalties don't scare anyone. Apparently scouts believe Vlad Guerrero Jr. has already agreed with a club, and it will probably be the Cubs.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Oct 31, 2014 -> 02:02 PM) Does MLB have a minority interview rule like the NFL does with the Rooney rule? I hope not. We don't need racist rules like that in sports anymore.

Our puppy is finally done having those biting attacks, at least for now. Now when she starts biting and won't listen to us telling her to stop, we grab her by the scruff of the neck and she screams and cries for a second or two, and then just stays still and we let her go and she just walks away. Also, it only took me about 15 minutes to teach her "sit". Obviously she is still working at it, but each day we practice it for 5 minutes or so at a time and she does pretty well.

QUOTE (whtsoxfan @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 04:23 PM) Buster Olney reporting the Rays intend to pursue a tampering investigation I've seen this multiple times, but what could the outcome of this be if it's deemed tampering? Cubs pay some sort of fine? I mean, I wonder if the penalty is even anything the Cubs would worry or care about.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 09:27 AM) 2014 Joe Maddon 77 wins--Baseball genius. Should make Cubs multiple World Series winners. Robin Ventura-73 wins--Biggest dope ever. So what you're saying is, the talent level and strength of schedule is the exact same on the Rays and White Sox

QUOTE (StRoostifer @ Oct 30, 2014 -> 03:32 PM) Was just nosing around mlbtr and noticed LaRoche's option was declined by Washington. Get on the horn Rick... I wouldn't mind picking him up on a 1 or 2 year deal and then flipping him at the deadline. His thorns are that he is about to turn 35, and he's an awful baserunner and fielder. He'd have to be our DH. I don't know what you'd want to pay for him. 2 yrs/$22M?

I'd like for him to start the year in A+ just to get some confidence and prove he can dominant over a 2nd year, then move him up to BIR after a month or so.

QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Oct 29, 2014 -> 11:57 AM) In my head, working at someplace like Chili’s is a lot like the movie Waiting. It's a requirement to watch that movie before you work your first shift. While a lot of stereotypes are true in that movie, and we say/think a lot of those things in the movie, I always felt like it was more of an Applebee's looking restaurant in the movie. And don't worry about people spitting in your food or being wreckless with it. our food standards are actually quite impressive. I mean, don't get me wrong, the chefs eat food back there they get lazy cooking sometimes, but they don't tamper with the taste in any way or use old or dirty food. Hell, we even throw food out if it is under the heatlamps for too long.

I wouldn't even trade Anderson for Samardzija straight up without an extension in pocket.

I would definitely have liked to have Maddon, and this is a very solid move for the Cubs, but my twitter is exploding with Cubs fans acting like they just trade peanuts for Mike Trout. The best manager in baseball won't make a s***ty team, great.

I actually got to very briefly chat with Adam Lind in Spring Training 2012 in Florida. My spring training baseball class got onfield access to a few major league spring training facilities. Lind and Rajai Davis were really friendly to us. I was standing behind the batting cages watching the players hit and chatting with Rajai Davis and then all the sudden mid conversation his turn to bat was up and he said something like "Hold up, I got to go hit some bombs", and he stepped up and starting hacking. It was hilarious.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 01:16 PM) Careful what you wish for. Beckham sucked so I bet your player would suck, and suck heavily. Might be better off with the cayysh. You're never better off with just cash in a trade that small. That player could figure something out or suddenly click. A few thousand dollars is just money.

Charles Sims, Gore, Forsett, and Tre Mason. Pick 2 (or 3 if I flex one of them over Terrance Williams). -

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 05:43 AM) Does anyone really pay attention to those projections? I don't. Think I was projected to only get 95 one time and scored 170. Pay attention to them? Sure. Obviously anything within a 10-15 pt margin is probably going to be a close game, but a 50 pts swing like I just saw, jesus. My team underperforms pretty much every week minus Tom Brady. Brady was a fantastic pick up for me. -

So I think maybe my Madden 15 connection problem may actually have been on my end. Since my PS3 was getting 100% signal on my WiFi, I didn't think my PS4 would do much worse. Well it was apparently only at about 22% strength. I moved some things around in my room, rearranged my PS4 closer to the router (router is downstairs), and my signal strength is now around 50-60% and Madden is responding much better. Moving between features online actually respond is under 5 seconds, and I was able to do all my game prep stuff without being kicked off the servers. Maybe I won't be trading it in.

That definitely looks like a collie/black lab mix to me.

QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 12:08 PM) Yeah I wonder when we will find out what we get back for Beckham. Same here. I've been wondered since the season ended. I hope it's a player back and not just cash.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 11:54 AM) I haven't seen any of this season yet of SNL but the last few years have been pretty good. Yeah, there are actually a few people in the cast that you can tell will be in movies in a few years. Taran Killam, Bobby Moynihan, and maybe Cecily Strong. One kid I have really been impressed with so far is Pete Davidson. He's only 20 and reminds me of an Andy Samberg type. He could be a strong cast member in a few seasons.
