I just spent an hour or so outside with her having her go to the bathroom and playing in the yard, and she didn't have any more of those horrible biting attacks. She tried nipping at my hands and feet a few times, but I every time I just yelled NO and snapped my finger at her and she backed off. I also had a stick in my hand to redirect her playfulness with. These are the same things I did yesterday, but this time I resisted from pushing her face away, which was probably just egging her on even more yesterday. Also, my dad purchased a ton of toys for her yesterday, so I think she is starting to realize what things are hers and that she has her own things to chew on. I just put her down for a nap so I can finally eat some lunch. Hope this afternoon was not just a lucky day and was progress instead.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 02:13 AM) Eaton will have to stay in CF...you don't take a top Gold Glove outfielder and shift him, unless it's someone like Cain giving way to Dyson in CF. I doubt Stubbs has more range than Eaton in CF, like the previous example. If the White Sox view Bassitt as a long-term bullpen piece or 5th starter, I don't think they're going to make that trade for a complementary piece. Adam Eaton is a gold glover in nomination only. The metrics don't think he belongs anywhere in that conversation.

November 18th - White Sox trade Marcus Semien and Chris Bassitt to Rockies for OF Drew Stubbs and LRP Rex Brothers With Dickerson, CarGo, Blackmon, and Stubbs, the Rockies may be inclined to move one of those guys. I think the Sox may sell high on Bassitt, and try to rebuild that horrible bullpen by buying low on Brothers. Stubbs is a plus defender with very good speed and a draws a decent amount of walks. Him and Eaton at the top of the line-up would actually be pretty fun, and Stubbs defense over Viciedo's would be remarkable. Avi would be moved to left, Stubbs would probably play RF just due to Eaton's below average arm. Although interestingly enough, in their small sample sizes, Eaton plays RF much better than his larger sample size in CF, which makes things a little hard to place considering Stubbs has the much better arm.

My opponent was projected to score 73, he scored 115. I was projected to score 113, I scored 92. Cool. 1-7 now. -

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 28, 2014 -> 12:14 AM) Romo should have never been back in IMO. Weeden was doing fine. Let Murray win the game. If anything, Romo's shown he usually gives the win to the other team in those situations. He almost gave the ball away twice in that last drive in regulation. I don't disagree with Romo being back in. If they needed a throwing play completed, I'd take Romo over Weeden. However, they didn't NEED a throwing play completed in that OT. They could have very easily ran their way to a win, but instead they forced the hero narrative from Romo again and it failed. -
And of course now, she won't stop whining in her cage. I smelled some terrible farts, so I took her out and she pooped. As soon as we get in, she whines again, so I take her out and she pees. Now we come back in and she continues to whine, so I just moved her to the cage in the kitchen because I'm not about to listen to that all night, especially since she JUST went pee and poop. Now I know she is just wanting to play.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 03:23 PM) Let's see some pics. The first week of nights was awful for my pup 4 years ago. Crying, whining, going out at 1am. Maybe it was longer than a week. At the very least I was getting up at 1am to go out. Part of her shenanigans today was she found a dead bird in our yard. She damn near swallowed it whole too. I put some gloves on and pried it out of her mouth. The only part of the bird sticking out was it's head. She easily would have choked and died on that thing if I wasn't there to stop her.

QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Oct 27, 2014 -> 01:31 PM) This. I always joke to my sister who is a cat fanatic that cats are Satan's servants. They're just not for me. I get that they are a lot easier to take care of and own but I'd rather have dogs. Everyone has their preferences. How'd she do overnight? Really well surpringly. She did wake up and start whining, to which I thought she just wanted to play, but she actually had to s***. She got a little bit on the front doorstep, but after she came back in she passed out and slept through the night fine. But today was a nightmare. I had her by myself all day, so I decided I'd rather just hang out with her outside on the nice day to avoid cleaning any poop messes inside. Well good thing, because she s*** 9 times today. And pissed about 15, all between the hours of noon and about 11pm. Also, she absolutely loves LOVES biting the hell out of me. She bites my hands, wrists, toes, ankles, back. I push her off and yell NO at her, but that makes her spaz out even more and growl and go insane. The best method I've found is just getting away from her. But in a big backyard, there are not many places to hide. I was jumping up on benches like a b**** to avoid this 9 pound terrorist, it was humiliating. She wouldn't even accept another toy to play with. I'd stuff a toy down her throat when she was biting and she'd just drop the toy and dive at me. We are trying to avoid putting her in her cage for punishment, because we don't want her to hate her cages. I'm going to try a method I watched on YouTube where you teach her the word "down" or "off" by holding a fistful of dog food and telling her OFF when she is licking or biting at your hand to get to them. Then when she stops, you release some. This is supposed to teach her that "down" or "off" means she needs to stop, and she'll be rewarded for it. I'm just worried that may associate biting my hands with being fed, so it's a balancing act I guess. It's weird, I'm actually really looking forward to going to work tomorrow and not worrying about being attacked or cleaning up after messes. That's probably not a good sign after 1 day with her. lol.

2nd and 3, 3rd and 3, 4th and 3 and you don't give it to your RB who is average 7.4 yard per carry in the game and is on pace to beat the all-time single season rushing record.....That horrible playcalling at the end and the 2 fumbles by Murray/Randle really killed them tonight. Should have been an easy win, even despite McCoy's solid game and the defense showing their suck. -
QUOTE (flavum @ Oct 26, 2014 -> 09:40 PM) Josh Hancock And Cory Lidle had that plane crash probably almost 10 years or so ago. I remember watching that on ESPN after school.

Such a crazy thing. I heard it on the radio while listening to the Hawks game and I just couldn't even react. As someone who enjoys following prospects, it's really upsetting to see such a promising young kid go like this. Ugh.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Oct 26, 2014 -> 09:51 PM) Decent finale. Tied everything up. Nothing earth-shattering, since the Tommy Darmody thing was guessed by a lot of people. It would have been shocking for Nucky to leave the finale breathing, so that wasn't surprising. I think hate that the timeline was off by so much for Tommy. If it was actually correct, I would have loved that final scene, but I can't get passed them not noticing or caring. Overall, I thought it was a pretty mediocre finale. Not much action, and not much finality. I feel like a lot of storylines didn't even end. During that scene with Gillian in the institution, I actually was thinking i

Got my puppy home safe and sound. My brother brought over his 3 year old Golden and they played together for a while. It's funny because my brother's golden has always been the annoying dog that won't stop trying to play all the time, but this time it was our tiny little puppy chasing her around and jumping up nipping at her. All it took was my brother's dog tripping on top of her for her to realize she can't be running under big dogs like that. She is spending her first night 5 feet away from me right now in a cage in my room. I'm a little hesitant to turn the TV on or open the window because I don't want her to be awake all night, on the other hand, I don't want to be awake all night either. Hoping my parents will let me just leave her in the cage in the kitchen soon. I don't want to have to act like I got a baby in the room every night.

I have Tom Brady, but I'm still fighting for a win. Down by 8 pts, I've got Dez Bryant and Terrance Williams left, he's got Jason Witten and DeSean Jackson left. -

Rough way to get Carcillo out of the lineup finally, but, he this will only improve the team. -
My post last night about Wrigley Field was the last thing I did before I went to bed. I had a LONG dream about Wrigley Field. I probably had 3 different dreams I can remember last night, all taking place in Wrigley, including me being chased by the cops because I walked out with a glass pint glass and tried ditching it in someone's backyard.

QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 24, 2014 -> 10:34 PM) I've been to a couple is sox games there. It's a dump. I'd think that even if I didn't hate them. I don't get the love. But Foo is my favorite band for the past decade at least so I'm in. As someone who doesn't hate the Cubs, but has been to Wrigley a few times, it IS a dump. I've sat everywhere but behind home or in the bleachers. Even as far as skyboxes go, it was barely luxurious. As opposed to a Sox game where the skybox level is on it's own level with very nice hallways and bathrooms and lounge areas, the Cubs skyboxes come out to a catwalk above the other ramps where the 100 level people are. The box itself was very small. I think it only had 10 seats opposed to 15 at The Cell. It was pretty forgettable.

Also, THIS is finally here. Looks incredible. Can't wait to start trying all my friend's games.

Day 2 of playing Madden, and again I am having trouble connecting to EA servers. Just like last time, I was able to get on and play 1 game fine, but then right after that first game, it could not longer connect to the servers. If this becomes a routine, I'm returning this garbage. But to the actual gameplay now....what's the point of the precision running stuff? So I didn't realize there was even any sort of precision anything until I tried the Gauntlet thing and it recommended I press down on the right stick to regain my balance if I am stumbling? I was confused what that meant, so I did those skills trainer things and saw the precision running thing with L2. But every move it had me perform was already a move I could do. I could spin, I could juke, I could dive, I could accelerate. So why does it want me to hold L2 when I do? I'm assuming it makes it more likely for me to break a tackle while holding L2 versus not holding L2....but why even make that distinction then? And it's not even like a more exaggerated juke or spin...it's the same exact thing, but it just works better? Why? What am I missing here? It sounds incredible redundant, like, why would I ever NOT hold down L2 when doing this? Why ever juke without doing a "precision juke"?

QUOTE (GreenSox @ Oct 24, 2014 -> 06:40 PM) No he is not. Uh, Jordan Danks is probably the best defensive OF in our entire system.... Don't let his overall defensive metrics fool you. For some reason he has been terrible in LF/RF in his career in the majors, but legendary in CF. In 2012, he only played 84 innings in CF, but of all majors leaguers who logged 80+ innings in CF, Danks had the best UZR/150 with Anthony Gose at 54.9. The next guy had 42. This season he was 14th in UZR/150 with 16.4. Eaton was 34th, at -3.8. Obviously Danks is only working with really small sample sizes, but while he was in our minor leagues, he annually was considered our best defensive OFer. The dude has crazy range and instincts in CF. -

2014 Draft Report Card from Baseball America
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to NorthSideSox72's topic in FutureSox Board
I'll be honest, I must not have heard the name David Trexler since the draft day because I have no idea who he even is. I watched almost the entire draft, so I must have looked him up at some point, but it's nice to see a guy pretty much come out of no where in my mind and be talked about so highly. Feels like we just traded for him.
