  1. I guess I'll play along and say Burger is someone I'm curious to see next season.
  2. I will reserve my choices until next ST because of trades, and developments in the off-season or ST for some of these guys. This thread is way too early, IMO.
  3. They were linked to him, and a few of us really wanted him, but that was for pick #26, not #10. Lux went 20th to LAD. Jim Callis had Lux mocked to the Sox at #26 in his final mock.
  4. Well that would have been a pretty fucking kick ass trade. Rodon DID end up getting hurt again and completely tanking his value. Ruiz missed some time this year, but continued to improve his plate discipline, yet again trimming his already great K rate from 8% down to about 6.5%. Also, his BB rate jumped again from 6.3% to just under 9%. 30 BB to 22 K on the year in mostly AA, but a cup of coffee in AAA. Switch hitter, still only 21. With the Dodgers getting a great impact from Will Smith coming up, I think Ruiz should be targeted yet again this offseason as well for the Sox. As for Gavin Lux.....well, we all know what that dude did. Was named the 2019 minor league player of the year by Baseball America and is now on his way to a World Series appearance with the Dodgers, hitting a HR in his first career postseason AB.
  5. Removing Abreu... I'll go ahead and say it will be a RP. Daniel Hudson. Come on home, son.
  6. He could have pitched for the Sox in September, but they didn't feel it was necessary to ramp it up to major league action and then just shut him back down after a few weeks. He will be more than ready by February.
  7. Only if it grants some sort of extension window. Don't do the 2018 idea of trading for him to "pitch him for a year" and then sign him as a FA. So in other words...never going to happen.
  8. I ended up sneaking by because Will Lutz hit 4 FG against my Cowboys. 4-0, and projected for 113 pts this week, which is a TON. And that's without playing Melvin Gordon, who is projected to outscore both my starting RB.
  9. He's at 3.7 now, so he'd have to have a helluva last 3 games. Need a couple of dingers and at least 6 or 7 hits.
  10. Or how about both Anderson AND Giolito. ? Oh, and Moncada at a 5+ fWAR.
  11. Fuck you PECOTA, we can't lose 92 games!
  12. 12-team, and it's a money league! Gordon was dropped on a Friday, so I think a lot of people didn't notice and I was able to snag the claim even though I was like #9 on the waiver wire.
  13. Massive update coming to Tesla's with V10 rolling out this week. Among additions.... - Netflix, Hulu, Youtube - Spotify - Remote open/close of garage door - Remote open/close/vent of windows - Max defrost button for the winter - Car-aoke. Exactly what it sounds like. - Cuphead video game - Smart Summon (Car will come to your location within a couple hundred feet. Good for rainy/snowy days when the car can pick you up a the front door of a business). - Rear facing camera recording during Sentry Mode - "Car wash mode" no idea what that is yet - Improved maps with clickable business information I can't friggin wait to receive the notification for the update. ?
  14. And the Dodgers are likely on their way to their 4th straight NLCS and 3rd straight World Series. Have yet to win less than 91 games since 2012 and have won their division every single one of those years. How does that help your case that it isn't easier to be good with unlimited cash flows?
  15. Until Theo builds a champion without being able to write blank checks for popular orgs that naturally draw free agents, I won't hail him as one of the greatest ever. Let's see him do this shit in Oakland, or Cleveland, or Pittsburgh.
  16. Woo, Melvin Gordon is back! He was dropped in my league after Week 1, so I picked him up and hopefully he saves my sorry ass RB core.
  17. MLB 19 The Show will be one of the FREE games of October for PS+ members. Pretty stoked. I haven't bought The Show since 2017, partly because they just don't improve enough anymore and also because I was too disgusted with the Sox off-season this year to want to get that brand new roster with Yonder fucking Alonso on it. I'll be buying MLB 20 The Show next March though, so this will get me through the winter.
  18. I think the word you're looking for is "inconsistent". April - 5.33 ERA/.364 wOBA May - 1.81 ERA/.214 wOBA June - 4.41 ERA/.330 wOBA July - 2.25 ERA/.279 wOBA August - 5.20 ERA/.335 wOBA September - 3.41 ERA/.271 wOBA His ERA got cut in half and then doubled from month to month, each month. He was very inconsistent. Although, overall it still resulted in a 4.1 fWAR season, about as good as his 2016 season when he finished 3rd in Cy Young voting.
  19. A lot of people assume it's Robert Forester at the end there, which would make sense, but all I can hear in that voice is Michael Douglas.
  20. The guy backed out of the David Johnson trade as well..... ? Back to the drawing board. I'm 3-0, and leading my league in points, but I've done it all with massive games from certain players. My RB situation is trash. Montgomery, Barber, Justin Jackson, and Jordan Howard. I just need someone to come take this WR depth off my hands and give me a solid RB2 at the least.
  21. Wow, I have only seen him play the smartest person in the room before, not a mentally challenged person.
  22. Absolutely fucking not. Keep that clown show away from my team.
  23. I'm guessing it's not, but it looks like Malkovich.
  24. Evans having an awful first 2 weeks made me nervous because then my only decent WR would have been Julio. But now Evans put up 190 yards and 3TD. I'm too cautious to ever accept a trade that gets offered to me immediately, it makes me always think there is something I don't know. Clearly I should have just accepted it right away, but if I can still get this David Johnson trade to go through, I'll still be happy.
