  1. QUOTE (danman31 @ May 6, 2013 -> 11:06 PM) Ken Griffey is the only baseball game I found fun so, yeah, that's gotta be way up there. NFL Street, which made the list, is actually a good choice. I would never play that single player, but to play while I was in the dorms was a lot of fun. An NHL game has to make the list fairly high. I played 99 the most, but I've played other versions and always had fun despite not being a big hockey fan. That said, I pour hundreds of hours into FIFA every year so that's gotta be high on the list. Maybe something in the 06-08 range. Oh yeah, NFL Street was incredible. My Rams were awesome. Faulk, Holt, Archuleta, they were all I needed.
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ May 6, 2013 -> 10:01 PM) He very well might be a top 10 if he keeps this up. I was going to say the same thing. In this organization, he could end up a top 10 guy by season's end, considering he is having a top 5 season right now.
  3. I love International Super Star Soccer 64, Ken Griffey Baseball, and Madden 2000 when I was a kid.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 6, 2013 -> 05:35 PM) http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/05/astr..._medium=twitter Designated for announcement you say? I wonder what they'll be speaking about....
  5. Wait, was that a 12 pitch inning? 36 pitches 21 pitches 12 pitches Sale appears to be trying to make it through 5 innings today.
  6. Oh man, Keppinger STILL has 0 walks this season? That's incredible.
  7. Alejando De Aza, a leadoff hitter striking out 30% of the time. Good f***ing lord.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 4, 2013 -> 08:12 PM) Who's our best starting pitcher after Beck at Winston-Salem and Kanny? Haven't been following the Intimidators much this year. Without looking or thinking too much, I know Chris Bassitt (W-S) is having a great year.
  9. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 4, 2013 -> 12:03 PM) what? so why were you arguing? smh I was arguing K/9 doesn't say a whole lot about a pitcher. How that does contradict me acknowleding Gavin Floyd was a valuable asset to this team? No where in this thread have I said he was bad, worthless, or anything other than they should have traded him last offseason, which doesn't speak to his talent in any way?
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2013 -> 09:24 PM) From 2008 to 2012 Floyd ranked 8th amongst all AL pitchers with 948 1/3 IP, 7th in Wins with 62, and 9th with 754 strikeouts. He might not have been the flashiest, but he was a damned important anchor in a rotation that was the basis for any Sox success. Yep.
  11. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 3, 2013 -> 09:00 PM) he's pitched over 1000 innings for us. that should shut you up, but of course, it won't. So did the other 38 players on that list of people who have thrown over 1000 IP......who cares. My point is that K/9 hardly proves anyone was a good pitcher. Give me ERA, WHIP, K/BB, or a handful of the sabr stats first. Hell, even give me BB/9. There are plenty of guys who have high strikeout rates, but are awful (Gavin not being applicable for either one of those two things).
  12. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 3, 2013 -> 07:51 PM) boom goes the dynamite Nothing screams great pitcher like a K/9 slightly above 7. Carlos Marmol. 11.66 K/9, 4th best of ALL-TIME.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ May 3, 2013 -> 02:31 PM) So they should have made a magical trade that did not exist? What a silly statement. :Facepalm: I give up.
  14. QUOTE (flavum @ May 3, 2013 -> 01:31 PM) Yes, but it was given more national attention this year. Also, it was a little joking around. It is a weird feeling having to think of who we have to replace due to injuries.
  15. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 3, 2013 -> 12:28 PM) I just want to say that this is the most ridiculous post I've ever read in my life. Number of f***s given for your opinion..... 0.
  16. QUOTE (flavum @ May 3, 2013 -> 01:17 PM) This season started with all that talk about the Sox training staff and how the pitchers don't miss time. Jinxed. They've been talking about the health of the Sox for years now, though.
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 3, 2013 -> 07:56 AM) You are speaking authoritatively on what the White Sox should have done, when you self-admittedly have no idea what you are talking about. I said they should have traded him, I didn't say they should have accepted the offers they had for him. Calm the f*** down.
  18. Just finished Episode 8 of Copper. Whaaaaaaat. Nice twist, I didn't see that coming.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2013 -> 11:54 PM) Exactly. ........uhm.....ok.
  20. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ May 2, 2013 -> 11:32 PM) LOL I love when we pretend to know more than the organization. ? "YOU" as in the posters here, not the organization. LOLthough.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 2, 2013 -> 07:04 PM) What offers were out there for him? How should I know?
  22. Hector Santiago. Would it be in bad taste for a gigantic "WE TOLD YOU SO"??
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 2, 2013 -> 06:23 PM) From who? The White Sox? Agreed. Santiago + couple of mid-level prospect + $10M > Gavin Floyd
  24. QUOTE (flavum @ May 2, 2013 -> 06:18 PM) Seriously, this day cannot get any worse for the Sox org. https://twitter.com/MDGonzales/status/330081963341905921 Kick, after kick, after kick, after kick, straight in the nut sack. Baaaaaah.
