Hopefully Yolbert Sanchez doesn't sign any time soon. I would think if he was taking the Orioles offer, he would be taking it pretty soon if he wanted to get in to the minors at the start of 2019.

Yeah, he said in a recent interview that he could be back in 2019, but that there is no real point because he would only get like 4-5 starts in at the end of the year and then shut it back down again. So the plan is just to let him take things slow and give himself the extra 5 months of the offseason to be ready for 2020.

It's not disappointing if they think they have a real shot at Yolbert and enough so that they are willing to hold off on $2M worth of commitments to get him. It's only disappointing if they don't get him and also don't use that $2M on a different big fish.

Great, but for now he plays catcher. And that's where he currently has prospect value. If he was always a 1B prospect he would have never cracked a top 100. But he does and still plays catcher, and a catcher with his bat could be very valuable. Scouts also said Arenado was a butcher at 3B. Care to let us know why he hasn't been moved to 1B yet?

Sure, if you just ignore the fact that he plays catcher, and has crazy good OBP skills, and basically strip away all of his positive, sure. Just like Mike Trout doesn't have a great arm, and that's why he sucks.

Awkward to get him to agree to being traded and then say "Ahh, nevermind, no one wanted you" or "No one wanted to give up anything of value for you" if/when he doesn't get moved.

We didn't want to wait any longer on the flight. My girlfriend decided that she wanted to stay an extra day and leave on a Sunday instead of Saturday afternoon. My friends already had the AirBNB until Sunday anyway, so we are just going to pay them a little extra to stay another night. So all together we got the round trip flight for like $267 per person, United Airlines going there, and JetBlue coming home. It's funny because even though that seems like a pretty decent price, it's the most I've ever paid for a plane ticket. My roundtrip to AZ was $105 and my roundtrip to Vegas was like $135. We got our Fenway tickets, plane tickets, AirBNB, so the last thing we need to get is a rental car for a few days when we travel to Portland, ME and Salem.

AFAIK, the Hawks should have a ton of money this offseason and have a good wave of young talent that is close (sound familiar?). If we still had Q, I would be very optimistic heading in to this offseason.
