  1. Great, but for now he plays catcher. And that's where he currently has prospect value. If he was always a 1B prospect he would have never cracked a top 100. But he does and still plays catcher, and a catcher with his bat could be very valuable. Scouts also said Arenado was a butcher at 3B. Care to let us know why he hasn't been moved to 1B yet?
  2. Sure, if you just ignore the fact that he plays catcher, and has crazy good OBP skills, and basically strip away all of his positive, sure. Just like Mike Trout doesn't have a great arm, and that's why he sucks.
  3. The 3rd sentence is what my guy has been saying as well, saying as soon as Harper signs, Manny to the Sox should happen very shortly after, possibly even the same day. But that seemed more speculative than anything else, and it seemed likely enough, so I didn't bother posting it.
  4. As if the Patriots and their fans aren't insufferable enough, the fact that they are STILL playing this bullshit underdog story is wildly tonedeaf. I loved this video that's going around right now...
  5. Do we know what White Sox hat that is yet? I don't recognize it.
  6. Jesus I totally forgot Edelman got suspended for cheating this season, and the NFL doesn't make them ineligible for the playoffs.
  7. I'm excited for work tomorrow when all of the Bears fans will tell me how the Bears would have won the Super Bowl if it wasn't for Parkey and that they would have destroyed all of these teams. Lots of hypothetical championships they've won in their heads.
  8. I can't imagine they would tell Seabrook that they want to shop him around, before actually having an interested party willing to make a deal. Awkward to get him to agree to being traded and then say "Ahh, nevermind, no one wanted you" or "No one wanted to give up anything of value for you" if/when he doesn't get moved.
  9. Ooooh, I totally forgot about a Seadogs game. I will have to see if they are home.
  10. We didn't want to wait any longer on the flight. My girlfriend decided that she wanted to stay an extra day and leave on a Sunday instead of Saturday afternoon. My friends already had the AirBNB until Sunday anyway, so we are just going to pay them a little extra to stay another night. So all together we got the round trip flight for like $267 per person, United Airlines going there, and JetBlue coming home. It's funny because even though that seems like a pretty decent price, it's the most I've ever paid for a plane ticket. My roundtrip to AZ was $105 and my roundtrip to Vegas was like $135. We got our Fenway tickets, plane tickets, AirBNB, so the last thing we need to get is a rental car for a few days when we travel to Portland, ME and Salem.
  11. I still have to work today too, and we work with the doors open. So I got on my 32degree heat clothes and fleece lined clothes. Yeeesh.
  12. AFAIK, the Hawks should have a ton of money this offseason and have a good wave of young talent that is close (sound familiar?). If we still had Q, I would be very optimistic heading in to this offseason.
  13. Barstool Chief is hinting that Bowman has some great move coming.
  14. Below freezing temps Rick Hahn makes his brilliant move Anderson to catch
  15. Getting Homer Bailey off the books COST them money. It added payroll.
  16. The Sonny Gray move, solely because of the extension, is the only move that I haven't hated from them so far. It's been the only move to improve them behind 2019, which is a sunk year anyway.
  17. Yeah, it was just a tease about their new trailer coming out. Everyone is livid.
  18. I couldn't feel more the opposite. They've made one move that I havent hated.
  19. In 26 games in A ball, Miller hit .336 with a 3.5% BB rate, 14.9% K rate, and 2 HR, 0 SB In 26 games in A+ ball, Madrigal hit .306 with a 4.7% BB rate, 4.7% K rate, and 0 HR, 6 SB Madrigal was better in most aspect at a higher level. Not 2 rounds earlier in the draft better, but to say he performed better than Madrigal seems a bit of a stretch. He also wasn't come off a CWS run and championship.
  20. I believe it was his AFL that opened a lot of eyes on him, or at least that's when I heard him being hyped up the most. He hit .337 in the AFL in 21 games.
