I love my MiLB.tv package. I went to about 15 Sox games last year, and every game I was at I was pulling out my phone to watch Eloy, Collins, Madrigal ABs.

Yeah, I was 100% going to get it this year (I skipped out last year), but now that the Sox will have done nothing exciting for 2019, I might just skip out on it again. Sigh.

I got my MiLB.tv subscription again for $25 and I'll be buying my Indy Indians tickets to watch Eloy and hopefully Cease in the 2nd week of April, so at least I have that to look forward to.

Nashville is awesome. Sure you can always take your kids to Vanderbilt games and see what elite talent looks like. I got a buddy who is a musician down in Nashville and I have always said I wanted to go to some Vandy baseball games.

I can't believe I have to leave for work right now. I don't know how I am going to make it through an entire day when everyone will either be asking me what the fuck happened, or giving me shit for being confident that the Sox would land him. Or just Cubs fans in general likely throwing shade.

The part that really pisses me off the most is that the Sox were clinging to their bargain deal with Manny for so long and not meeting his actual demands, so Lozano just waited and waited around long enough for some other team to suddenly jump in, and that is seemingly exactly what happened. Sox got cute with their money and played games with their future, and got burned. If this was the Phillies or Yankees outbidding the Sox, then it would still suck, but knowing that they likely lost Manny because they failed to budge on their discount for so long is such a kick in the fucking balls. And if they weren't willing to go $300M on Manny, then they sure as hell won't for Harper or Arenado either. I honestly have no idea if the Sox will ever sign the biggest of fish during this current ownership. Sure, maybe we will sign a couple of $100M deals in the next 24 months, but the only chances we have at superstars are going to be in this system, or via trade.

He came out with his "story" and it's utter horseshit. The TL:DR of it is that he says the Padres covert meeting with Harper was just to throw people off of the scent that they ACTUALLY wanted Machado all along and to lull the Sox in to a false sense of security with Machado, then secretly offer Machado a $300M deal on the sly. And it ALMOST worked, before he (the MLB Insider twitter troll) BUSTED the story open on Twitter that Padres were in on Machado, and then the White Sox cartoonishly leaped out of their skin in freight and quickly upped their offer to about $305M (area code 305 reference, cute) just in the knick of time to save the day! Machado to the White Sox announced soon! What a fucking imagination.

I think he's saying all 3 Front Offices prefer Machado, but the owners in Philly and SD might not be so sure they prefer Machado over Harper, likely because Harper is the bigger marketing play. Harper is more likely to translate to dollars, Machado is more likely to translate to wins. Front Offices want wins, owners want dollars. White Sox FO and ownership seem to both agree on Machado being the best fit. That's how I understand his tweet.

No, because Eloy IS a stud hitter right now. Bush is so young and just getting started that to be content with him ALREADY having to move to 1B sucks not only because he's so young still, but also because he hasn't proven he's a good enough hitter at high levels that it won't matter much.

Meh, at least they are a lot more toned down and less aggressive. I don't think his opinion on the subject is out there crazy, but I do disagree with it and I think it's a more outdated approach.

You're going to compare leaving your wife and kids to someone who was a sperm donor to a stranger and was asked to stay out of their lives before the kid was even born yet? What?!?!?! Maybe the child won't want to be contacted by a stranger, who did nothing but donate sperm. He can write notes to the child, that's great, but he should keep them to himself until he is either approached by the mom or the child, and then show the kid evidence that he never forgot about them. But that's not really his call and it would be selfish to interject his life in to theirs when he was asked not to. My sister-in-law has a sperm donor father. She was raised from an infant by her mom's new man. She considers HIM her dad and it's the only dad she's ever known. She refers to her biological dad as "the sperm donor" and thinks it's weird and a bit creepy when he comments on her FB and Instagram posts about his biological grandchildren. That's as much interaction as she allows, and could care less about him. Just because SoxAce will have a biological child doesn't mean that the kid will even know he exists or even WANT him to contact him or her and try to interject themselves in to his or her life when convenient.

The kid has yet to be born, let alone be raised without a father. Plenty of time for this girl to find a nice guy and marry him. She doesn't want him in her or the baby's life. Sure, he can try and patch things up if that's what he wants, but ultimately it's not his decision to be in the kid's life if he respects the woman's wishes.
