  1. I'm not disagreeing that it is very clearly associated with him if not actually him, but I just think it's weird to post it from that account. Could be because he's not confident enough to attach it to his own name, unless it's true, then he can likely retweet it and say he posted it from his other account.
  2. Why would he post some rumors on one account, and other rumors on his other account? If he truly believed in this info, wouldn't it behoove him to tweet it out from his main account to help prove that he has sources?
  3. Does anyone? He's been about 4 for 5 so far in the past month. I think I'll keep him.
  4. Huh? No I mean I know the name of the person who told my source to expect some surprises at SoxFest. My source was never told who or what the suprises we're. I literally have no idea if it was about Manny or Joc or anyone else.
  5. The only piece of information that I withheld was the name of the person told my source the "some suprises" line. If I told you who the name is, you would have a good reason to have been very excited to hear it. But for obvious reasons I can't and won't say who it was. But that person was just as vague as I was. Obviously something fell through or changed or is being put on hold. This is typical when you are dealing with 30 different teams all trying to extract peak value on every trade and signing.
  6. You can't possibly expect insiders to post everything they know, do you? Now giving no info at all, like Dave did, is a bit annoying, but you can't expect him to give a full down of all the details. But some hints/clues/leads would be appreciated.
  7. Because Shack likely means "made a peep.... publicly". The people who are insiders around here tend to share info privately but don't necessarily post what they know on here or Twitter because it's speculation, and publicly speculating when you've been known to have info in the past can get sticky when people take it as gospel. There is plenty of stuff that myself and others (mostly others) know about, but can't/won't talk about out loud.
  8. So we got our AirBNB for Boston, we got our Red Sox tickets. Now we just need to buy our flights. About 2 weeks ago I found a flight for about $206 round trip that I am kicking myself for not grabbing now because the cheapest I see are about $280. And even more, I noticed that there are no return flights later than 6PM anymore on the Saturday we are flying back. So my question for people who fly frequently are, do airlines tend to add more flights at some point when the date gets closer? We are flying out May 28th, and returning June 1st. The later flights clearly filled up, as there were several flights between 6 pm and 10pm previously. Should I assume those times are not going to come back, and just grab the latest flights I can find at this point? Or are they likely to add more? No idea how this stuff works, I rarely fly.

  10. If you want to go down the "What he's worth" discussion, then according to Fangraphs, he was worth about $6.5M last year.
  11. Hahn's ringtone, in case anyone was curious.
  12. Maybe the kids who are getting autographs won't see it that way. And maybe the Dodgers aren't in the business of wanting to refund money if they don't have to?
  13. Yup, and a damn shame. For about 4 years now, my buddy and I have gotten a ticket plan with the $7 cheap seats, then we pay the $15 upgrade to sit on the upper level of the bullpen bar where we had our own table, and server. It was a great way to enjoy a game for $22. And now that's gone.
  14. I was just talking to someone about what might be going on with this Joc trade, and could it be something as simple/courteous as the Dodgers/Sox waiting until after Dodger FanFest today so Joc could still attend and interact with the fans one last time? I mean, people spent $200 on a meet & greet with Joc today, so maybe both teams agreed to allow that to happen and not screw over the fans who paid to meet Joc. Just trying to rationalize what may have happened for all the smoke and even names mentioned on the first day, and then suddenly nothing since.
  15. Reports have been that the Padres only want Realmuto with an extension. Realmuto has 2 years left at age 28 and 29 seasons. So his extension could be what, 4 years/$90M? Then if you add in Machado at $210M minimum, you are talking $300M commitments from them this off-season, plus the $144M they gave Hosmer last year. About $450M in contract given out by the Padres to 3 players? That seems like a stretch to me.
  16. Good. He was completely out of touch and had no knowledge of the rest of the league.
  17. No one has said Jimmy Lambert yet, so I guess I'll go with the Sox players who have all picked him to watch out for in 2019. But excluding Lambert, Jonathan Stiever is a guy I will take from the pitching side, and I'll take Gavin Sheets from the hitting side. Sheets just seems like a guy who could suddenly learn how to add loft to his swing and explode. He hit .293 last year, with a 10.5% walk rate and only a 16.3% strikeout rate. Only 6 HR, which is weird for a profile like his, but he did have 28 doubles. Maybe that's just a good college hitter pounding A+ ball, but his offensive profile strikes me as one that could suddenly click.
  18. It's kind of funny going back and reading through the past girls that I've talked about in here. The reason I am reminded of this is because I just found out that one of my exes is pregnant. That makes both my last 2 exes to get pregnant by random guys that they weren't dating. Yikes. I feel so bad for both of them, especially this latest one because she was very likely a virgin when he knocked her up (or at least was her first).
  19. For an Urban Dictionary result, I really expected something horrifyingly gross. But just a Simpsons reference, how about that.
  20. Yes, he was a supplemental pick, and I said "true 1st RD pick". But more importantly....
  21. If Fulmer gets traded, I think this will mark the first true 1st RD pick that the Sox have traded to acquire someone (Sale was the target, not the cost) since 2007's 1st RD pick Aaron Poreda was traded away in 2009 for Peavy.
