Ok, here is Hawkins HR from yesterday......can anyone tell me what the hell that ball is doing once it gets over the wall? It's seriously defying all laws of physics. It looks as it it hits a pole, then comes back, then zigzags a couple times before it lands behind the fence. I'd say maybe Buehrle's perfect game. I was SUPPOSED to go to that game, but the night before, decided not to go. Had I gone, I'd be a part of a very small group of people who saw a NO HITTER and a PERFECT thrown by the same pitcher on different nights (obviously).

Jesus, I am trying to temper my excitement for Hawkins, but this dude may be up before 2016 after all.....

Lupe Fiasco expressed his concern for the violence in Chicago, saying young rappers like Chief Keef "scare him" because of the violence they promote and partake in (gang warfare). In response to "Lil JoJo" being gunned down in Chicago recently, Keef took to Twitter to laugh at his death. Then Keef got Lupe involved and said he was going to slap him "like the b**** that he is" next time he sees him. All this culminating in Lupe Fiasco retiring from music. Was waiting for something to happen with Holly, since Dean Norris tweeting that there was a "chilling moment" with Holly that they filmed, but maybe the scene he was referring to comes in to play next half season, which they may have already started filming for.

Very excellent start for Beck tonight. Hopefully he gets back on track for 2013 with an improved offseason workout. Rienzo with a filthy start in AAA. 6 2/3 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 10 K. His K/9 is up to 9.87. Needs to cut his BB/9 down a little, but otherwise a pretty fantastic 2012 season.
