QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Sep 11, 2011 -> 01:12 PM) He did get you a long TD though. Yeah I know, but I'd rather take 120+ yards and 2 or more TD. -

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 10:57 PM) I swear, this is White Sox baseball all over again for me. I fear what will happen to my Cowboys and Rams tomorrow. I can only assume Romo and Bradford get season ending injuries, and just to piss on my fantasy team, Miles Austin and Steven Jackson will also suffer injuries. Well, that was quick. Steven Jackson didn't even get to 3 carries before he got injured and is out for the game. :chair -

Gary Gray might be the worst CB I have ever seen in my life. Absolutely garbage. -

Oh my gosh, Theo Riddick yes! I thought he was going to lose it there at the 1 yardline when he just stopped. -

I don't like how Brent Musberger says "Rees" like Drew Brees, without the B. I prefer the pronunciation of "Reese" like "Crease" without the C. -

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 08:24 PM) Floyd is pretty damn good when he's not hammered Floyd is unreal. There is not a jumpball in the world I would not trust him with. And his ability after the catch is just embarrassing for defenses. He could turn a 3 yard reception into a 25 yard gain so easily. -

How about... White Sox Baseball: It's a New Era Not only is that a real answer, but it implies some coaching changes. -

Did anyone else lose the sound for this game a while ago? FOX has been silent, but only on the TV in my room. Makes no sense. Some stations are working perfect, some have like 30% volume, and FOX has about 5% volume. If I turn my TV up to 100, I can hear the crowd and the mitt popping, but no announcers...... Weird.

QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Sep 9, 2011 -> 01:10 AM) If I'm reading what you're saying correctly, you could just take the hard drive out and put it into a new PS3 if you buy one and you will still have all your goodies on it Nah, doesn't work. When you put a harddrive in to a PS3, it makes you format the drive, aka, delete everything on it.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Sep 9, 2011 -> 01:02 AM) f***. So, my PS3 turns on now, but I can't get controllers or my PSP to sync up with it. I really don't want to lose all my saves. The big ones would be games like Mass Effect and Dragon Age, since they carry over and I dumped hours into them. Basically, my one option now is trying to find a motherboard replacement service. Anyone know of any? Or should I just give up in this endeavor and feel like a moron for not backing up my PS3 like once a month. I feel like I'm about to feel stupid. You can't even get the controller to recognize when you have it plugged in through the USB cord? Man, that sucks. You really need to find a way to get your saves off that baby.

Juan Pierre is only knows half the rules of Double Dutch. Juan Pierre could have had sex in high school, but he preferred to just kiss them. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 8, 2011 -> 07:29 AM) The stuff with Tommy at the playground cracked me up. Yeah, that was pretty funny. Maybe I am the only one that wasn't really satisfied with the ending, but I wanted something crazy to happen. Or for Tommy's life to completely change. I mean, isn't he in the same spot he was the whole time? He is still a firefighter in house 62. I just was expected for him to die, him to retire, him to move away, or just something different. I don't know, I thought it was a good episode, I was just hoping for something shocking to happen w/ Tommy.

2011 Minor League Catch-All Thread

Anyone know the pitcher's stats w/ Tyler behind the plate? Because it seems like our pitchers do really well w/ him, even in a small sample size. -
Just started watching Boardwalk Empire tonight. I'm a fan. I'm a little confused on which characters are good and bad and who some people are, but I am sure I will catch on a little. Pretty cool how Al Capone is in the show and when they showed him driving down Lincoln Highway or "Route 30" are most of us know it, I was pretty pumped. Also, I am pretty sure they made the reference to the 1919 World Series when someone mentioned how one of them got $2M from betting on the World Series.

Sox winner . Doesn't anybody care about..
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to CaliSoxFanViaSWside's topic in Pale Hose Talk
It is kind of funny how rock bottom for us fans is 2nd place, and a .500 record. When you really think about fans of like the Royals, Pirates, Orioles, Astros, and other such teams have to sit there and be overjoyed with a .500 record and anything above 4th place. Kind of makes me happy to know that during my lifetime at least, the Sox have really had some decent expectations, and as a fan we are used to competitive teams that always finish in the top 3, and have a chance to win almost every year. Just my late-night thoughts. -
Danks-Peavy-Floyd-Humber-Stewart Sale starting in AAA and on the same rotation as Peavy in case of injury.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 12:20 PM) Is Sons of Anarchy worth getting into? My wife and I are looking for a new show and that one has been around long enough that people must like it. Lots of people love it. I tried it out, but never got in to it. It's just not my type of show.

2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (smalls2598 @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 08:44 AM) So I was watching Law & Order: SVU the other day, and while investigating a case, one of the questions was (paraphrasing),"What happened on October 26th, 2005?", and Stabler responded....."The White Sox won the World Series." Thought that was pretty cool. The Assistant DA asks a youngh suspect "Does October 26th 2005 ring a bell?" Stabler says: "It was the day the Chicago White Sox won the World Series for the first time since 1917."
