According to the beatwriters who are all just repeating the same things on Twitter, Peavy is working out of the stretch in the 4th, and promptly allows a single to Cameron Maybin.

I'd have to think that Lastings is winning in the Battle of Millibridge.

Anyone see the game on whitesox.com? Because I don't....

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 01:36 PM) Forte isn't on SNL anymore. Oh, well that sucks. I haven't seen SNL since probably last summer.

QUOTE (CrimsonWeltall @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 01:29 PM) What if you're getting a lot of kills without camping? Your position gets given away anyway? Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. In Counter Strike, they used to have a thing where if you sit in the same spot for more than like 10 seconds, you started to "beep" and you showed up on everyone's map until you moved. I like that idea better.

Game is on whitesox.com as well, right?

QUOTE (Brian @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 11:00 AM) It's more hit than miss but has its moments still. Galifinakis' two monologues have been great. I was surprised how good Taylor Swift was last year and at some points, Miley Cyrus this season. Jim Carrey had some good stuff as well. I like Hader, Pharoah, and another new white dude who I don't know his name. Bobby Moynahan? Or something like that? I am an Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Will Forte, and sometimes Jason Sudeikis fan.

Homefront looks pretty cool. Might pick it up sometime in May when I am done w/ school.

2011 White Sox Catch-All Thread

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 14, 2011 -> 09:12 AM) Guys with control problems make sense to bring in with Cooper. He seems to have an idea how to fix arm slot, repeatability, and giving up velocity for control, so without knowing the stuff he brings, it could be something that works here. His K-rates are practically Marmolian. If he can any sort of control, he could be extremely deadly. -
Yes!!! Next episode of Breakout Kings introduces T-Bag! Thought Episode 2 was pretty good.

2011 Minor League Catch-All Thread

QUOTE (IChaseBlackWood @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 04:57 PM) Chase was called to the big league field today to catch some bIg leaguers. He got to BS with the guys a little and received a pretty nice compliment from Gavin Floyd. He told him he has great hands and he likes the way he sticks it!! Johnny orton told him to cherish that compliment because Floyd doesn't give them out too often. Needless to say, I am very happy for and proud of him!! Fingers crossed he has an amazing season this year! -
QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Mar 13, 2011 -> 02:38 AM) I don't get all the praise for the Lupe Fiasco album. The weakest effort he's EVER put out & people are talking about it as if it's up there with his previous efforts. Ironically, this will more than likely be his best selling album. I'm happy for him in that sense, but if it means we'll keep getting this from him, he should of just retired. I like the Lupe that brought me the Fahrenheit 1/15 tapes & his 1st 2 albums. Actually, most real Lupe fans say this CD is not that good, but it's more of the "new" Lupe fans that think it's awesome. I hear a lot of girls singing to some of the songs and being like "This new Lupe guy is awesome!". I just shake my head. The Cool I think is his best CD by far, and Enemy of the State is probably my favorite mixtape of his, although A Rhyming Ape was really cool.

In the B-game, Gartrell hit 2 HR, JorDanks hit a grand slam, Escobar went 2/3 with 2 doubles, and Lindsay pitched 2 scoreless innings.

Pushing Morel? Ok, but not if it means he is just overwhelmed with pressure.

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 06:21 PM) I find this interesting: Lillibridge career minor league slash stats: .268/.348/.409/.758 Milledge career major league slash stats: .269/.328/.394/.723 Since 2008 (when Lillibridge entered the majors) Milledge = 1.4 WAR Lillibridge = -1.5 WAR

Viciedo fractures thumb during ST game on HBP
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to ScottyDo's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 03:41 PM) How did he fracture his thumb? Did he foul a pitch off it? I'm surprised more guys don't do that. This really sucks. Anyway you slice it, he doesn't figure to be a factor til after the AS break. Dave Bush nailed him in the hand w/ a fastball. -
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 12, 2011 -> 01:09 AM) Lupe with another classic album. Man is amazing. I give it a B-, with Food and Liquor being an A- and The Cool being an A+

We have Teahen who can play 3B (awfully, of course), and we have Vizquel who can play SS, 3B, and 2B. I don't see why we need a 3rd backup infielder. Whereas we have only have 1 backup OF in Teahen, who isn't that great out there either. I think having Vizquel pretty much makes Lillibridge's versatility moot. Go with Milledge.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 07:00 PM) How is that even possible? Tectonic plates in which the Earth is comprised of? Isn't that how mountains were formed? Plates slowing pushing together.

QUOTE (flavum @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 05:21 PM) Milledge took his helmet off well before reaching home plate. Kinda weird. maybe he thought it was a walk-off, and then realized that there was no crowd there to beat on his head.

It's definitely the Battle of Millibridge.

Thornton. If the plan is really to move Sale back out of the bullpen after this year, then may as well get Thornton used to closing now.

3/10 Games: vs. Texas, Arizona
ChiliIrishHammock24 replied to ChiliIrishHammock24's topic in 2011 Season in Review
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Mar 10, 2011 -> 10:12 PM) Its March 10th. Don't get overly excited or pissed off at performances in spring training especially this early. Its meaningless. I agree that it doesn't matter how Konerko, Dunn, AJ, Beckham, Alexei, Rios, or Pierre hit, but for Morel, if he doesn't have a good spring, Ozzie won't be afraid to make Teahen his third baseman. Morel NEEDS to hit well if he wants to make sure Ozzie isn't tempted to go w/ Teahen, who is tearing the cover off the ball right now.
