Peavy Comparison
Without looking at numbers, I would be willing to bet that Peavy leads the team in HR allowed, which is a pretty easy way to jack up your ERA without hurting your BAA or WHIP that much.

Brent at SS? WTH? I wonder if it's just a way to keep him in the lineup, or if they are actually considering him at SS.

2010 Summer TV Thread
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 14, 2010 -> 03:41 PM) Daniel Tosh stand up tickets go on presale tomorrow morning. Show is in November at the Chicago Theater. We saw him at the Congress about a year ago and he was hysterically funny. (Wasn't sure where else to put this) Don't remind me. I had tickets to that, 2nd row nonetheless, but I had to sell them because my high school decided to schedule our senior banquet on the same night.

Just watched the finale of Breaking Bad last night. It was awesome. Then I watched Rubicon, but I was not impressed. It just confused me, really.

Sox draft picks playing in the CWS
Wilkins is 2-4 so far in a game that is still going on in the 12th inning. His AVG is up to .282 (meh). Ross Wilson was 2-4 with a HR, but 'Bama lost and is out of the CWS. Ross finished with a .274 AVG, 9 HR, and 45 RBI.

Piniella vs. Stone
QUOTE (maki @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 08:09 PM) Lol, and lou just says in the in-game interview with Morgan that he's gonna start playing Colvin regularly. I laughed at that too. Haha, asshole.

Does AJ get traded this weekend?
Flowers is not in the lineup today. Good just be one of his regular days off, or maybe Kenny told him to start packing his shiz. Then again, we have an off-day tomorrow anyway, so maybe it's nothing.....

6/13 Games
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 02:08 PM) John was being sarcastic, but he still has to pitch about 3-4 scoreless innings to have a solid outing. He is on pace for another 10 SO game and his peripherals have been outstanding this year (especially since his April struggles) As was I, hence my "TRADE HIM!" comment earlier.

6/13 Games
QUOTE (JPN366 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 01:57 PM) White Sox prospects are not allowed to struggle, they are not allowed any margin of error. Nope, not really. 3 IP, 2 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 6 K

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 12:11 AM) Amen. The starters are finally doing well. As far as Jenks, I can't wait for the day he actually blows a save. There will be such an epic meltdown. The anger will be melting computers everywhere. Why can't the Jenks haters at least give the man credit when he does his job? There was nothing wrong with that ninth inning except for the walk he gave up in the rain. You people that want perfection must be great employees. Your companies are lucky to have perfect people. I pray you guys get your wish and we trade him. You will see thornton and/or Putz blow their share of saves as well. it's the nature of the closer role. Why fat Bobby brings out the hate in everybody when he coninues on a remarkable career baffles me. There is a different between being sufficient, and being remarkable. Jenks is doing JUST enough to get a save each outing. The only thing remarkable is that he only has 1 blown save.

6/12 Games
At what point does Brandon Short get promoted to AA with only 1 OF in Birmingham hitting over .242. (Salvador Sanchez at .265), unless you want to count Buck Coats.

AND THAT'S A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!
Haha, Paulie w/ his usual dry humor... Lou Connelius (sp?) - "So what is it about hitting here? Hitting now in 17 straight games" Konerko - "Oh wow, I didn't know that, but thank you for jinxing it"

QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 05:58 PM) That's not a great improvement? I'd going from 0% to 0.0001% is a great improvement, personally. Agree to disagree I guess then.
