I feel like Law errs on the side of everyone sucks. I can't think of a player that he raves about.
-
He still posts the eye emojis when he knows something but can't say it. He knew of the Q trade before it was leaked.

Huh?

Costco sells a couple of different Orbi bundles in store. One is an Orbi AC2200 I believe, with a range extender for $200. Seems like a solid deal when you consider a good range extender is likely around $70-80 on it's own.

The Fandeck in CF is always our backup option, then Rev Brew is our 3rd choice. We haven't actually sat in our upperdeck seats in years, and maybe only once.

If you go there as soon as the gates open, you should have a decent chance at some BP balls from the Brewers lefties, which include Yelich and Shaw.

Ok, well that must have been the one. I've been scouring TuneIn for all MLB Draft talk, so I've heard a lot of things recently.

That's funny you say that because I was listening to a podcast very recently, I can't remember which one, and someone mentioned his name. Just said the name, nothing else, and I thought it was interesting that I had never heard of him before.

The supposed smartest player in baseball wasn't smart enough to realize that if he had just attempted a throw to 1st, he would have drawn an automatic double play. But instead, he holds the ball, making the slide of the runner irrelevant. And besides, if you watch the video, the only contact between the two guys is made when Baez comes down from his hop and lands on Musgrove. Musgrove didn't even hit Baez on the slide, he merely caused Baez to jump out of the way, which is what you should do when you don't plan on completing the play.

My buddy and I go (or attempt to go) to the Craft Kave for all of our 10-game ticket plan. We buy the cheapest $7 in the park, go down to the Craft Kave (Gate 2, in case they won't let us down to concourse level), and pay a $15 cash upgrade to have our own table outside ABOVE the bar. You can sit in the lower area for free (first come, first seat), but you are obstructed by the fence and stanchions. So for $22, we sit 10 feet passed the RF fence, have our own table to spread out, have our own swivel chairs, and have a server in case we want to get any food or drink. It's been our little secret for 3 or 4 years now. HOWEVER, the issue is that business like to rent out that ENTIRE upper deck area ALL THE FUCKING TIME. Years ago we got our seats every time. But these last 2 years, we get those seats maybe once every 4 or 5 games. I went to something like 16 games last year and probably got those seasons 5 or 6 times. I've been to 4 games this year and have only gotten them once. It's really annoying, especially when they almost always go mostly unused. Rarely do the groups show up. Regardless of whether you want to try the $15 upgrade, or just take the free seats outside, or just grab a spot inside, it's all first-come-first-choice and it opens as soon as the gates open. I'll try my luck again on Saturday. Have fun!

Fun stat on Cease that I just noticed, but he's only allowed 5 HR...... IN HIS CAREER. He's now thrown about 214 innings (a full major league season) and only 5 HR. For comparison sake, the least amount of HR by any starter in 2017 to throw at least 200 IP was Kluber, at 21 HR. In fact, the last pitcher to ever throw 200+ IP and allow LESS than 5 HR in season was 1994 Greg Maddux, who allowed 4 HR in 202 IP. Obviously this is the minor leagues we are talking about here, but the point is that Cease doesn't give up HR, almost ever.

Nah, he's only had 7 starts in AA this year, and Birmingham (or maybe the entire Southern League, I don't remember) is a pitchers park. I would give Dunning around 100 innings in AA (He's at 38.2 IP now), and then let him get his last 3-4 starts in AAA. If they want to promote him earlier than that, that's great, but I don't think were anywhere near the point where we need to start demanding a promotion to AAA, especially when there are so many other guys that deserve to get shuffled around first. In fact, I would like to see Cease get the spot when Dunning gets promoted. Cease is at 50 IP right now for A+ ball at age 22. He should definitely get move up to AA at some point this season, and it could certainly even be before Dunning goes to AAA.

There is Jake Peavy and then there is Carlos Zambrano, or the injury risk of a Carlos Quentin. I don't see that video as a positive, although Hostetler loved it. And to be fair to Nick, he has likely had many conversations about and WITH Singer, so he would know more about his make-up than any of us would. In that WST Podcast, it was interesting to hear Nick say how much he loved Singer's reaction there, but how when "a high profile top draft pick" from last year threw a tantrum, he was immediately taken off their lists. I guess the difference in Hostetler's mind being that one tantrum was over the game not continuing, the other was over of a bad game.

Yeah, that surprised me as well. 2B recently who had a 2-3 WAR with good defense and average power... 2017 - Josh Harrison (2.6), Yolmer Sanchez (2.2), DJ LaMahieu (1.9) 2016 - Chase Utley (2.2), Joe Panik (1.9) 2015 - Addison Russell (2.6), Kolten Wong (2.5) 2014 - None 2013 - Brian Dozier (2.9), Brandon Phillips (2.7) Of all of those, I think DJ LaMahieu might be the best comp. Now LaMahieu is 8 inches taller, but the results seem to be somewhere around Madrigal, being a .301 career hitter, 7-8 HR a year, 15-20 SB per year, low strikeout rates, very good defense.

Collins grounds out. He's 2/4, 2B, 2 RBI, BB, K.
-
Dunning finished the 7th at 100 pitches, so he might be done. 7 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 9 K *insert fire emojis*

Ugh, I'm disappointed there is no video feed today. I have the day off work and would love to see Dunning carving up hitters and Collins bringing that average near the .280s.

I won't pretend to know how code can improve mechanical functionality, or why they wouldn't maximize that code to begin with, but it's still nice to see it can be addressed so quickly.

Yup, that's why I said it's a unique advantage that Tesla has; the ability to upgrade their fleet remotely.

And it was a 2-RBI double. AVG up to .274. I noticed in his single yesterday that it seemed he actually took less off of his swing and chose to flip the ball in to LCF. He wasn't just trying to crush it to RF. Not sure if that's part of going back to his college approach, but I liked it.
