  1. 90-72, tied with the Twins Sox beat the Twins October 4th for the division win...Tony's 77th birthday.
  2. Current starting rotation combines for 150+ starts Vaughn, Robert, Moncada, Anderson, Madrigal, and Abreu all start 155+ games. You wanted bold.
  3. I’m ready for a miracle- Giolito, Keuchel, Lynn get 33 starts; Cease and Rodon start 30 also. Kopech gives 100 important innings. And Crochet, Heuer, Bummer, Hendriks stay off the IL. If that happens- 98 wins.
  4. He was DFA earlier in the day when Lamb was signed.
  5. Fry, not Cordero who is already on the 60-day. They'll also add Vaughn and Hamilton to the 40-man. Possibly dumping a guy off the 40-man.
  6. All that's left is adding Fry, Engel, and Eloy to the IL
  7. Orioles released Yolmer. Watch your back, Jake.
  8. DVS saying Ruiz is in. I’m sure there will be a lengthy transaction announcement sometime today.
  9. Lamb DH-ing today. Team might want to announce the signing. 7-inning game today at 2 central. Cease going 6 innings.
  10. This may answer the Turley/Ruiz question. Or not.
  11. Lucroy released. Congrats to Yermin. Bench- Garcia, Hamilton, Lamb, Mercedes Looks like it's just down to Ruiz or Turley
  12. 96 hours until Tim Anderson shoots a base hit into right field.
  13. Vaughn turns 23 on Saturday. First homer before, after, or on his birthday? Bundy, Heaney, Cobb, Ohtani
  14. If Collins, Robert, Vaughn, and Madrigal bat 6 to 9, they have a total of 456 major league plate appearances and none of them have played Midwest baseball in April and May ever.
  15. It looks like they’ve backed off on hitting him 2nd, which is good. Our 6 thru 9 hitters to start are going to be extremely lacking in major league experience. Just have to let them play and hope they’re good.
  16. Incredible double play by Story on Beckham. Go see it if you missed it Great start by Lucas. Not the short last start under Cooper anymore I guess.
  17. Would guess we’ll know Tuesday night, but official on Wednesday.
  18. I'm assuming the plan was for Vaughn to play left on Friday, Sunday, and Tuesday, and workout on the side Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday. Game is live on MLB Network today.
  19. Ok, I thought I heard Fry could be headed to the 60-day, but if not, then Zavala will probably be the other guy to go if they need to make room. And yes, Hamilton may not be long but he does bring a nice option off the bench for pinch running.
  20. Here's what I have for an opening day roster- Lineup: Anderson SS, Eaton RF, Abreu 1B, Moncada 3B, Grandal C, Collins DH, Robert CF, Vaughn LF, Madrigal 2B Bench: Hamilton OF, Garcia UTL, Mendick IF, Lucroy C Rotation: Giolito, Keuchel, Lynn, Cease, Rodon Bullpen: Kopech, Ruiz or Turley, Foster, Marshall, Crochet, Heuer, Bummer, Hendriks Roster moves to come: Option Mercedes also cut NRIs- Nick Williams, Tim Beckham, Matt Reynolds, Zach Remillard, Ryan Burr 60-day IL- Fry and Eloy (Cordero is already there) 15-day IL- Engel Drop from 40-man: Ruiz or Turley Add to the 40-man: Vaughn, Hamilton, Lucroy
  21. I’m a traditionalist when it comes to uniforms. As more numbers get retired, the numbers will naturally go up, but numbers in the 80s and 90s are for minor leaguers in spring training. If I could change Robert to 44 and Cease to 48, I’d do it in a second.
  22. He won’t wear his new number until OD. I’m on Team #25. I’ll probably lose this battle, but 99 is trash for baseball. So is 88 and 84.
