  1. To an extent. Probably would still like the home field familiarity.
  2. Yep. Hopefully vs the Indians/Twins it’s three series, home and away; and same with Royals/Tigers.
  3. Definitely not the 10 vs division opponents and 4 vs opposite division opponents. It’ll be a mix of 9 to 11 in the division, over 3 series; and 3, 4, or 6 games vs the NL Central.
  4. Right, but now that they’re with each other, you would hope the peer pressure to follow all of the protocols is heavy. It’s three months- maybe four if you’re good. “Follow the rules. Don’t ruin it for everyone else.” That needs to be the daily reminder.
  5. Right. They can't say it. Fans are free to look at public information, and try to figure it out.
  6. So it’s not going to be an even 4 vs the NL Central teams...hmm.
  7. Wonder if it's going to be just a 2-gamer on September 26 and 27. Might be a different looking schedule with odd start/end days of the week than we're used to seeing,
  8. I hear you. We're about 112 days from Game 7 of the World Series (if nec). Hope we make it there, safely and happily.
  9. Kids... "a part" and "apart" are two different things. Figure it out.
  10. Might be a fun exercise to guess how many innings each pitcher gets if they throw 540 innings total. There’s going to be a lot of tandem starts to begin with, I’m sure. And then the last few weeks of the season, they’ll settle on five for the remainder.
  11. That doesn't matter. Every team knows what they're getting into this season. Get to winning,
  12. Man, I hope not. They’re selling a 60-game sprint where every game matters. Letting in any team that goes 27-33 would make the 66 day regular season really meaningless.
  13. I just don’t like the part about it that the player is required to be on the active roster all season or be offered back to the original club for 50k, or whatever it is. There are probably better and more creative ways to have players get opportunities if their original club doesn’t want him.
  14. On paper, agreed. Cut two pitcher after two weeks...Detwiler and Fulmer probably. But it never goes as planned.
  15. Next CBA, hopefully the Rule 5 will go away forever. Antiquated.
  16. Not so much “care”, but if they’re playing a game in a cornfield in Iowa based on the book and movie, the one team that needs to be in that game is the Chicago White Sox.
  17. Pretty sure the 60-man has to be submitted in a few hours, so maybe we’ll get the whole thing later on.
  18. 1. Luis Robert. Nuf said. 2. The return of Kopech. 3. Gio Gonzalez making his Sox debut...because it means they’re playing baseball.
  19. For the integrity of the 60-game season, I don’t think it would have been bad to put a freeze on trades until after the World Series. You have your own roster of qualified players on July 3rd, and just play it out as professionally as possible until the season ends.
  20. It’s MLB, so bad decisions are their thing. But I can’t imagine the White Sox not being one team that HAS to be in this game. My first choice is the Reds. 1919 World Series. Duh.
  21. FWIW, here’s who was in camp on March 12: Pitchers-Anderson, Bummer, Cease, Cishek, Colome, Cordero, Detwiler, Fry, Fulmer, Giolito, Gonzalez, Hamilton, Herrera, Heuer, Johnson, Keuchel, Kopech, Lail, Lindgren, Lopez, Marshall, McRae, Mejia, Rodon, Ruiz Catchers- Collins, Grandal, McCann, Mercedes, Perez Infield- Abreu, Anderson, Cuthbert, Encarnacion, Garcia, Madrigal, Mendick, Moncada, Romine, Sheets, Vaughn Outfield- Brugman, Delmonico, Engel, Gonzalez, Jimenez, Mazara, Palka, Robert
  22. With 60 games, there might be 10 teams that win 32 or more games. That’s who I want to see in the playoffs. It’s a sprint season- get to winning. If they would have been able to play 100+, the six or seven per league would have made more sense. But with 60, I don’t want a 28-32 team being the 8 seed.
  23. Are they striking before the CBA expires 12/1/21?
