I think if there’s one stat you can look at and call this a good trade it’s Bummer having WHIP over 1.500 over the last two seasons.

It was up to 37 with Mena and Eder. They really don’t have to jettison guys now, but looking at the 40–man, there is still a bunch of easily dumped AAAA guys.

Shuster, Soroka, Lopez, and Shewmake are on the 40-man which is now full. Lot of DFA candidates.

Yes, and Hawk was important to the Sox brand for a long time until he lost his fastball. I just never viewed Benetti (now 40) that way. Hopefully the next announcer is better for all and the fans upset today will just get used to it. We may not have a lifer announcer ever again. And that’s ok.

Actually, you can have any take you want. It’s a baseball announcer. It’s not that big of a deal either way. If you never liked the schtick, you’re happy with this. If you liked his announcing, fine…check out his other assignments when you can.
