I see a lot of people are talking about draft pick compensation. I thought that with the new CBA there was not going to be any compensation anymore. Can anyone clarify this?

The Blue Jays sign Royce Clayton for 1.5 million. I wonder how the Big Hurt will like that.

I get the feeling that Ozzie isn't thrilled with Bmac so Kenny is looking at Santana to make Bmac expendable. I would have no problem seeing Bmac sent to the D-rays for Crawford but I think TB will be looking for a package that is at least the equivilant of what the Yanks got for Sheffield.

Wow, 16 pages on what I see as a ho-hum trade. I really don't see the Sox any better or worse off after this deal.

The NL will only have one 90 win team this year. Even with the AL domination of inter league play that just seems odd.

I think you have to take the chance that he will rebound and get an extension done. There just isn't enough good starting pitching out there to let him go.

The Sox will next be eliminated from post season contention on Sept. 20th 2011. Blind optimism is what September is for if my team is in contention.

I have to cheer for the Tigers, I can't stand the Twins.

Cordero really only had an awful April. His numbers for May were good and in June they were great. July was going well except for one bad outing againt the Yankees. I think the Brewers will make him their closer, and I think he will do well in the NL. I also think they will probably try and trade him off in the off season. Mench should look a lot better in the NL.
