The sad thing is we gave up on BA for Mark Kotsay.

I wouldn't be opposed to resigning manny next year if he really wants to play for the sox, and if we resign konerko, i really like this lineup. and with peavy back, our rotation WILL be the best in baseball.

Nice... we need him. This has gotta be a real kick in the nuts to Thome, Dye, considering Sox could of had them all year for fraction of Manny's price for one month.

It's too late in the year to cut Kotsay...the only way I see it happening is if we go on a bad losing streak and acquire a big bat.

I have a feeling Manny will be in a Sox uniform the day he returns from DL... LA is almost 10 games back. Sox need him for World Series run and they ESPN might actually acknowledge the Sox with Manny.. not too mention attendence, merchandise, etc, it makes too much sense to get him.

Mark Kotsay sucks, do something. Any other 1st place team would cut Kotsay, even as a bench player. I can't think of any team in baseball that would start him regular.

Sometimes I wonder how far ahead the Sox would be of the Twins if we signed Hudson/Thome instead of Kotsay/Nix.

I don't know where to start. This team is as bad as 2007 yet there hasn't been a significant injury. Payroll is over 100 million. As much as I don't want them to go, they probably won't be resigned and can get back a few decent prospects.
